Hi Utahbyair, do you have any videos of flying in the area of St George to Cedar City, through Kolob Canyon, between Signal Peak and Timber Top Mountain (basically following the I15)?
Aw that's a shame mate. Back in 2007 I flew from Ryan Airfield Tucson to Cedar City several times through there during colder months. Seeing the tops of the canyon walls dusted with snow was awesome. One of my passengers even remarked that the rocky outcrops looked like fingers.
As it clearly says in the first 17 seconds of the video, in type along the bottom, I just had some cancer removed and I apologized for not wearing a band-aid. So, cancer. Cancer is what is up with my nose.
We just drove our Jeeps across this airstrip, and it was great to see it from the air. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks! That was a lot of fun. How sweet, wandering around and landing on those hauntingly spectacular hidden airstrips.
Hidden Splendor is such a beautiful area. Love the Swell.
Thank you for your airstrip...
Great adventure! Thanks for sharing!
I loved the video, but as one who is no longer able to fly, I'd have loved to just hear the airplane sounds. The music is distracting.
what cessna is this?
Is your 170 still powered with a 145 hp continental ?
more cojones than I got to fly down that canyon !
No, it has the 180hp Lycoming 0-360 conversion, and I only fly that approach when there is no wind.

I've flown that route several times, but I do not have any video of it.
