The reason it was low on battery was it went into hibernation mode, all batteries do this to save its health, because charging 24/7 can damage batteries.
It actually does work!!!! 😱 😱 😱 But not with the original pads! 😕😕.. This what i did and it works fantastic!! All you have to do is buy a microfiber pads on Amazon the green ones they are 12 in long. And it attaches to the ozmo system. I have being using this for a few moths already and its the best mopping robot ever!!!. The problem with them original pads it's they are too thin it doesn't touches the floor Enough to scrub the floor so with a thicker microfiber pad it will be enough to scrub idk if i should upload a video showing how i do it. But its amazing how it works

Thank for sharing! I’m going to buy the pads you recommended and give it a try. You should totally post a video because I would have never thought of that without randomly seeing your comment. I’m sure others would find it helpful too!
If you do upload a video I’d like to see it. That was always what I thought the problem was as well, it wasn’t reaching the floor with enough pressure.
Thanks for this review too. Darn, I was really hoping this mop would work well. Now I have to decide between the Deebot T8 and the Roomba i7, since clearly the mop on the T8 doesn't earn it any extra points.
I have had a few of these ozmo robots and now have this T8. I find that the regular mopping attachment works well for me as long as it’s not some dried on mess on the floor. After it runs my floors look and feel clean. I use bona floor cleaner in the tank on mine. Theses extreme test are just that.. extreme. What water level do you have it on? Also I would say if someone spills putting on the floor it doesn’t clean it up immediately and just leaves it there they have more problems than a robot vacuum can handle. You do have a good idea tho, if you have that and spray lightly some water on it and up the water flow on the bot if your floor is that nasty. I usually run mine on medium or high water output.
I put it on the highest flow setting.....its probably fine if you use it every other day but if you have kids and they make a spill and it dries up then it will never get cleaned until you manually clean it yourself.
Bruh, set up a zone in the room where the stains are, so the machine will focus in the problematic area. Also, don't out stuff on the tank, but can try to squirt on the pad. But try the small zone trick.
I wonder if the pad was thicker if it would work better? It seems very thin and may not be making good contact with the floor, especially on wood floors that aren't totally flat
That's what I do... won't remove the stubborn stains either. The mopping feature is only useful to keep the floors looking neat for some time, but it won't replace mopping.
I was hopeful as I reckon this is about the best all-round vacuum available at the moment. Lidar, camera detection and probably the best self cleaning bin, but alas, it has proven your theory that there are not robot vacuums that can do a great mopping job. I just thing they are too light to put any real pressure in a straight line on a stain. Even with an old spaghetti mop you have to sometimes swirl it around to get a tough stain out.
exactly...a stain need to be soaked and none of these robots do that at all they just put a light layer of water over them when they pass. The reason the samsung jetbot does so good is the pad is super wet and it does over the same area several times when cleaning.
I have a Deebot T8 but I can’t see the “scrubbing pattern” option on my app. Is it only available for certain models? Or is it only available when the pro mop is installed on the vacuum robot?
Is the water hot when it comes out or just cold tap water? Do you have a reusable pad? Heard those work better (thicker). And can we put any solution in there instead if we want (like simple green or something)?
It really is a shame that they discontinued the scooba series I think that was the best mopping unit they ever made But you had to buy it brand new I looked on eBay for new ones and people are charging unrealistic prices for them
Great review thanks. If you don't count the self emptying bin, which one would you recommend the T8+ or the Roborock s5 max based on best overall performance?
Thanks so much for all the info! Quick question. Can I do a schedule which includes a room with carpet and a room with hard floors with either the original mop or with the new mop attachment? Or do I have to take the mop off or disable the mop function when doing carpets? I'm also interested in knowing the differences between the Deebot App and the iRobot S9 app. I am planning on returning my S9 and Brava and ordering the Deebot and am hoping the features are similar. Such as with the S9 you can add a "clean zone" inside a room if you have a special area with more traffic. So instead of cleaning an entire room you can clean a portion of the room. Again thanks so much!

Should return the T8 and get a T8 AIVI. Then stop watching this joke ass dude's reviews. He didn't toggle cleaning preferences to on, thus why it only did one pass per video evidence, stated he chose the highest water flow yet there is Ultra mode directly to the right of 'High' which he chose (both shown at 1:10 and where the toggle is grayed out when editing preferences which is SUPPOSE to be used when editing the rooms, not randomly choosing it), and finally has a 10'x5' approximate space where he thinks (even if he actually did it right and saved the room preferences and then toggled it on) that going down 10ft+ of a room in 10" spacing, then crossing the 5'+ span, that there would be ANY moisture left on the floor to really get deep. Dude's an idiot. Divide the room in what I found to be best of around 5x5 spaces in room setup, make the sequence one box/space next to each other in logical order, ACTUALLY save those 2x pass and Ultra High water flow in each space you just divided into 5x5(s), and stop using the stupid fucking disposables that are useless. I bought a dozen reusable microfiber ones made for the deebot OZMO models for like $15 or some shit. Finally, instructions to not moistened the pad is, again, for those POS disposables: ALWAYS fully saturate the microfiber ones, ring it out to slightly damp but not dripping, use warm to hot (not boiling hot or any temperature that could deform or melt the small tubing inside... test with the original tank), and finally.... stop watching this fucking joker's videos. Clearly head up ass

Hi Jason big. The irobot scooba has a scrubbing brush. So it scrubbs the floor not wipes it. Like other cleaners do. Plus it cleans for 45 mins. Meaning it will go over the same place several times. And removes stubborn stains.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Anti drop sensors keep this unit from doing its job. You will have to reset anti drop sensors 15 to 20 times in a week. You must be supervising this unit all the time, otherwise it will not do the job as anti drop sensors needs a lot of attention. There is no DISABLE OPTION feature in the app to disable the ANTI DROP sensors, and many people have been complaining about that issue since 2019. So far, NO UPDATES on the app. Another issue, the ECOVACS Deebot T8 AIVI Robot reset maps 2 to 4 times in a month, which is a headache. STAY WAY from ECOVACS products because it’s not worth it and buy a better well know brand on the market. I think this vacuum is like a test version to find out problems where people can complain.

Thanks so much for doing this test. I did buy the Deebit T8 AIVI but I might hold off on the Pro Mop extension. Such a disappointment.
The antidrop sensor issue is an electrical failure of the mainboard. Most of the Ecovacs do fail after 1-3 years of use. Just chinese quality.
