- Back to the upper limb and we're looking at the muscles that move the bones of the elbow joint. We're mostly interested in flexion & extension of the forearm at the elbow but let's have a look at all the muscles that cross the elbow joint and see where they run and what they do.
Of course we're going to be most interested in biceps brachii, brachialis, triceps brachii, and brachioradialis. This one might get a bit detailed so buckle up.

You are the best thing that has happened to me while taking anatomy. I really appreciate you
“The way to study anatomy is to get in the lab...” true, but your videos are still a god send during covid-19 when uni’s are closed but we still have to learn...
nicole brown i was going to write the same comment !😂
Uni labs closed here too - studying anatomy online is an absolute nightmare - especially when I'm a kinaesthetic learner! Your videos are super helpful.
Dr. Webster's presentations are often entertaining (and can be rather informative).
After dislocating my elbow I’ve become quite fascinated with the anatomy of the body and how muscles and joints play their roles, these videos are amazing
Monetize your videos! I wouldn't mind enduring a youtube commercial for these videos. you are THAT amazing!!!!
You are literally the BEST teacher for this stuff. You break it down so simple and don't speak as if you're talking down to people.
So I'm not the only one who felt talked down to by my up-close teachers 😂
I view U every morning at breakfast. You put what I am learning into a better perspective and help terminology come together in my mind and sinks into my memory!! Whoot whoot!!
I've been looking for this kind of in-depth anatomy lesson my whole life! Thank you so much for teaching these lessons playfully, with enthusiasm, repetition, and clarity!!! You're a dream come true out here!
Sam! You are a perfect teacher at demonstrating what muscles DO! I think this is the most important part of getting anatomy to make sense!
Thank you! Whenever I want to learn anatomy I go straight to your videos. You are a great professor! The best I've seen online so far.
I may not be truly studying anatomy with you, but your videos help me understand my injuries and ask questions of my surgeons. In the last year I have had the shoulder repaired, 5 anchors & long head biceps tenodesis, to go along with L4&5, S1 fusion. So please keep making videos, they help the health care students and us everyday lay people. Cheers!
"..you don't do it like that do you, that's too hard...." and your facial expressions. Hahaha! I love it. I'm sharing you with my whole class. I wish you were here years ago.
First video I watch from this guy, and I love him lol
You are an absolutely wonderful teacher . Wish we had been taught in this way could have never forgotten ever thanks so much.
I'm not used to put comments on videos, but this one is worth it ! Thank you for the very clear explanation !
You are such a great teacher! Thank you for making these very helpful videos. Much appreciated!
Awesome video, really busy and tired with all my studying yet here I am 9pm on a Monday and you have managed to keep me interested and even perked me up for half an hour when all I wanted to do was no studying and go to bed. So thank you and keep up the good work.
you are amazing doc! da vinci would be proud of you!
Thank you! The videos are always helpful and informing without being overwhelming
I am a medical student and in our univ like our teacher never allow us to go into the lab and see things So your videos really helped me to understand Anatomy. You can not imagine how grateful I am really thank you!
I teach retirees to keep fit through movement. We talk about muscle heads, fascia, tendons and ligament=nts. I am not a medical person, so sometimes I fudge a bit. Now I can do less fudging and more factual talk. Bless you, and you obviously love teaching.
Hi Sam your a great teacher, a good way to remember scapula from clavicle S for scapula and shoulder blade. C for clavicle and collar bone.
thank you so much for your explanation , THAT'S REALLY HELPING ME!
I suspect I may have learned something. Maybe. Good stuff, I am sure its not the last time I watch this video.
💪
Splendid Presentation, this series especially, your demonstrations are explicit. You led by example more than usual more , I find this way to be more helpful. Thank You...
Right now I´m taking my first ever english class and studying medicine it could be difficult due to that I have to learn in two languages, you just save my life, keep doing videos of musculoskeletal system
Dear Sam, you are awesome! Thank you for this super high-quality content!
This is my first video of yours to watch and I have to say, I love your teaching style. Your accent and choice of descriptions are awesome ..."bony bits" 😄. Look forward to watching more!
Love your explanation. Also love the accent and whit. Just adorable. I like this background and lighting. Helps the anatomy model stand out. Thank you for sharing.
Great explanations and examples of the anatomy. Thank you, good Sir.
Your Videos are so helpful. Thank you so much!!
Omg, I love your content so much. I’m a striker, and this helps me understand why I have clicking when I throw my straight right and gives me a better idea on what to do to take care of that issue. Thank you so much, sir 🙏🏽
Many thanks! Your videos are super useful!! Highly appreciated!!
Shattered my elbow recently. The ball of the Humerus was in several pieces and has been screwed back together. I came here to try to understand what I need to do to recover the motion and muscle and what I am actually working on. Can't say thank you enough from just across the bay from Swansea.
Good luck.
These videos are so helpful! Carried me through my anatomy exam
You are the best. Thankyou so much. Very clear and easy to understand/remember everything!
This is very helpful for me to understand this elbow joint..I broke my radial head 3 months ago. Physical therapy going well...just slow to get range of motion and strength back!
I am just an anatomy enthusiast and I love these videos so much.
Your lecture on the muscles anatomy of the hand, wrist, arms and shoulder helps me to understand how the muscle are connected to each other, as a result I am able to apply accrue pressure to massage the inflamed area, for a guitarist , squash player we are most likely to develop inflammation on these joints. Thank you very much.😊❤
omg your videos helped me fall in love with anatomy. Thank you>>
I love the clear way you explain things, I've had the ulna head removed would love to know what happens, if and when one needs a whole elbow replacement.
Woah! So good, thank you so much. Really helped me to get the clear view of anatomy

I love your quirky personality! You are so freaking comfortable in your own skin. I’m an instructor myself and you’re my go to guy when I need a refresher. My aim is also to make it simple & fun. I have a CZcams channel if you could check it out. I draw the muscles on the body to show how they work together. Massage therapeutics. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!!!
I LOVE anatomy, I am sich a nerd! lol I was wanting a good anatomy deep dive of the upper arm etc.
I cant wait to show this video to some like minded friends. THANKS!
What other sources do you use to learn anatomy?
@@minahilfarooq7831 ninja nerd lectures, dr najeeb kenhub, Khan academy
thank you
Recently had a motorcycle accident and think my distal biceps tendon is slightly torn as you can clearly see the tendon rise out of the skin quite a bit and the bicep appears to be 'loose'. Aches and hurts quite a bit too. Gonna go see some muscular skeletal experts next week to find out but it's nice to see how it all works. Gives me a bit more info to ask slightly more informed questions haha
Also no one told me Richard Hammond did anatomy on the side? :D for real thank you for this, awesome to see how it all works. Subscribed and liked 👌
Спасибо.Понятно доходчиво.
we love u sam thank u
your videos have helped with the anatomy in my artwork. i may not be able to retain all the Latin, but the form and function is understood. thank you for the
explanations!
Same here!!!😃
I'm an absolute noob
Are you an artist or a med student of some sort.
And do you have to be able to draw if youre the latter
@@Jjjof im an artist. and no i do not believe you have to be able to draw to be in the medical field.
Dear Sam, You are look like dr house :D thank you for the lessons, thank you teacher
You are the best
Thanks
Thnks dr
5:35 since it’s covid19 times, can’t go to any labs. Thankful to have you to watch and learn
thankyou so much havent seen anyone teaching the way you do !!
Splendid
Good video! I recently ruptured my distal bicep tendon, and do not want surgery. I can supinate, and perform flexion, but there is weakness, of course. My bicep has retracted superiorly. My question is, will my bicep continue to retract, or should it basically stay where it's at now?
great teacher, wish i had you as my professor !
We wish you worked harder
@@petergianakopoulos4926 haha 😄
