My late mother loved this song she sang it word by word. N she used to say "had I not struggled I wudve graduated but I'll leave it to u my kids" my brother graduated after she departed, and am graduating this year. How I wish momma was here
I dropped out of varsity and she played time during graduation period and prayed wen it ended to the day I gave up and went to varsity and will forever be grateful to God bcse she saw me wore it😭😭😭
She was watching from heaven baby girl and she is super proud of all your achievements. You accomplished what she always dreamt of. Good luck as you persuade more of success 💖💖
I just got my results and I am overwhelmed that I made it at 37 a single mum of 2 and work the other side it's been a tough journey I can't believe I will graduate too 😢 I am so excited. I had to put this song on loud speaker 😅 my kids think I'm overdoing it😂.
They played a different song during our graduations,i was looking forward to hear this song,my sister used to sing it,may her soul continue to rest in peace.😇
Thank you for posting this. I am a proud alumnus of UL (1985 - 1991) and I also sang in this beautiful choir (1991). The current Vice-Chancellor (Prof Mokgalong) taught me first-year and second-year Zoology. What a fitting rendition of Gaudeamus; invoking a lot of emotion. Please keep my Alma Mater alive!
I guess u are the man Mr Mphahlele from Segopotje high school has been talking about.... ur success story motivated motivated me nd today I'm doing my final year in University of limpopo bcoz of u
Graduated in December on behalf of my guardian angel I hope she’s smiling in heaven she introduced me to Gaudeamus Igitur remembering when she graduated decades ago🥺
Rest well my brother Dr Mbona. Masters degree awarded posthumously...I know you loved this song. You sang it, even though I had no idea what it meant, i felt inspired. All is well🙏🏽🙏🏽
I'm writing my final exams and motivate myself by listening to this song. I knew this song when my late mom graduated and she loved it so much. Listening to it gives mixed emotions, I find myself crying instead of being happy. 😢
It reminds me of my very 1st graduation. I have never felt so fulfilled and content like that moment.Yes l had my 2nd and 3rd graduations, but nothing compares to the 1st one....
Graduated in the Autumn/Winter graduations of 2010. The melody of this song somehow gave an assuring connection to me that sort of said "the world is ready for your contribution". Thank you to UL and the lovely people of Limpopo as well as the vendors at gate 2.
One of those Great University songs. As a former student and former Teacher at the University, I like this song which brings to me so many remembrances, now I am retired.
I so wish I could have the lyrics of this song, I've been searching but nothing it's just the song no lyrics. It is a beautiful song, I can't wait for my graduation 💃💃💃💃💃
Gaudeamus igitur, Juvenes dum sumus; Post icundum iuventutem, Post molestam senectutem Nos habebit humus. Translated: Let us therefore rejoice, While we are young; After our youth, After a troublesome old age The ground will hold us. Vita nostra brevis est, Brevi finietur; Venit mors velociter, Rapit nos atrociter; Nemini parcetur. Translated: Our life is brief, It will shortly end; Death comes quickly, Cruelly snatches us; No-one is spared. Vivat academia, Vivant professores, Vivat membrum quodlibet, Vivat membra quaelibet; Semper sint in flore! Translated: Long live the university, Long live the teachers, Long live each male student, Long live each female student; May they always flourish!
I am proud undergraduate product of this University. Life was hard there, it is still hard now but it was worth it. I suspect the photos in this video, were taken during my graduation year, 2007, May graduation. Can some body who know when this photos were taken, tell please?
