I use solar panels to charge devices directly to avoid double charging and the waste of energy in the process. But to charge laptops Power Delivery (PD) is needed. Any recommendations for good solar panels that support PD?
I wouldn’t plug a laptop directly to a solar panel at the very least you need a solar charge controller or a mppt controller in between to prevent overcharged or discharge.
Just picked this panel up - really looking forward to using it! Great review - thanks for sharing! I have a channel for my outdoor adventures as well - digging your Yaris set up. Looking forward to following along!
This little solar panel is highly underestimated by many,it hasn’t let me down yet.
Thank you so much for checking out my channel I will be sure to do the same.
@@sonofamountain2862 That's what I've read! I was looking for something I could throw in my backpack for multi-day trips, and it seemed to fit the bill. It sounds like a lot of people prefer it over the more expensive Anker! Thanks again my friend.
One question, what brand is the power bank that you show us in the video?

l have heard goodthings about Big Blue but l would ringing them to ask if is defective, if it supposed to reach 4 amps it should.
Gotta love carpet pythons I think I am no longer eligible for a refund, but am still happy with it.
It still works ,but I suppose when this one completely stops working I will replace it with another just like it.
These little panels can really take a beating.
Thanks for watching!
@@sonofamountain2862 Fair enough and you are very welcome.
for it's intended use 4a is overkill anyway.... 28w is still too small to run bigger electronics where you'd want higher amperage to feed into a real battery.... this thing is for trinkets, portable devices, and for battery banks, almost all of which like to be charged at 2 amps.
2 ports @ 2 amps is perfect @ 28w
now if the panel was above say 50 watts I'd figure you'd want more output
What’s the power bank your using?

I thought it would only read 4 amps if 2 devices were charging at the same time?!..
Mine arrived yesterday and I'm testing it today and each port only reads 1.2 - 1.9
JERRYR708 idk what region you’re in,but my panel only reaches 2.9 when the sun is the highest in the sky.
Typically from 12:00 noon till 2:00 and the angle also helps.
Good luck with your project
@@sonofamountain2862 Apple Valley High Desert California. Sunny sky, no clouds.
@@sonofamountain2862 Update: I plugged my wife's phone into the solar panel and her device reads 1.9, but my device only reads 1.2 so it is a device issue more than a problem with the solar panel.
How does it work on cloudy days? Anything? Thanks in advance!
I managed to get about 1.5 on a super cloudy day.
@@sonofamountain2862 Thanks for super fast reply :) Still waiting for paycheck to buy this.
@@pawelolender3709 i still have my panel and it still works as it should,It has been through many adventures and hasn’t let me down, these things are built very well.
@@sonofamountain2862 say no more :) it's as good as bought :)
@@sonofamountain2862 I've asked that question in my original comment, good to know it still generates power even on cloudy days but, when you mean super cloudy, what was the temperature in celcius and what month of the year was that? plus how long did it generate that 1.5, momentarily or constantly for a long period of time?
Nice Video
Now it cost 70 + 25 for shipping and taxes to my country.
Am sorry for that my friend I guess inflation is now a world wide problem.
But the good news is this panel will work for a very long time and it won’t let you down.
My panel still works and I have gotten a lot of power from it through the years.
@@sonofamountain2862 I am thinking about Suaoki 60W Solar Panel, it got 9 panels and would cost not that much more than BigBlue. 110 Euros for me.
The same item is £90 currently.
Dang that inflation.
2,4 one usb and 2,4 two
Thank you all explain but my niece can explain every thing in 5 mins. looks you love talking :D

Very bad tone
This is not a review.
Thank you for watching this review you at very awesome!
