I went to my first mud race at hogwaller a few years back. It was awesome, Dennis Anderson was there with his youngest boy, driving a the gravedigger equivalent of a mud truck. But the videos don’t do this spectacle justice, these truck are freaking out of control. At least 6 trucks rolled and 2-3 were violent hard hits. Even Dennis Anderson’s son compressed his back after he sent it so hard, and he had to be removed from the truck by the EMTs . It is intense, I’m 3rd gen driver thats been racing about 30 yrs. on dirt & asphalt ovals, road coarse and rally cross, and after witnessing these crazy mud trucks in person, I believe it takes a pretty talented wheel man to wrestle that beast. For you and the truck to have basically 2 near perfect “test passes” in front of a huge crowd is epic. Hell of a job.

In the mid 80's. I was a teen and there was beer, bikinis and lots of mud is all I remember. Used to visit dad in the summers and he loved to drink and play in the mud.
