MustC I loved how much stuff the game introduced. You could actually read the Intel that you picked up. In other games, people only did it for the achievements/trophies.

Black ops 1, 2 and all the modern warfares had the best campaigns
Treyarch should stick to making games in the past, Infinity Ward should stick to the modern setting, and Sledgehammer should stay in the future. I think that method would be a good way to keep the franchise well rounded while catering to each companies niches

zakback99 I know what you mean. Obviously they would just ruin the game with supply drops and all that, but it's better than nothing and it will revive the community. I play it on PC every so often and it's usually less than a thousand players online. To see it live again would be nice.

Agree on MW2 being the best. I still play it today. Advanced Warfare is shat on. The game is top 5 in my opinion.
It did a lot in expanding the skill level to succeed in multiplayer. It was not longer the person who lands the first few rounds first.
Just like Crysis, everyone was so OP, throw in verticality and it demanded a high level of skill to succeed. There was more than just having a better gun, landing first few shots of being the most tactical
Had to learn the parkour system, switching between amor abilities..whilst watching an energy and also shooting all in quick succession or simultaneously

MW3 is my #1. Have over 65days played on it. Multiplayer, campaign and spec ops were so fun and mw3 is what made CoD for me.

Dude i have a ps4. All the new cods are with exo jumps and not mention they really messed up hard with the score streak system its terrible. They should go back to kill streak. Kill confirmed is my favourite game mode bcuz i can hold on tags with my team and get more kills and let the time run. While still winning the game by the end. Tdm ends to quickly and domination is all also a game mode that ends fast. And all the c4 spam.

Bo2 is my favorite cod because it was my first and it was just so good all around, campaign was great, zombies we fantastic, multiplayer was a masterpiece. Oh I just love that game.

#1. MW2 = Incredible Campaign, Insanely enjoyable Multiplayer (despite being broken af!), and Spec Ops was a nice change of pace from Zombies.
#2. BO3 = Convoluted and poorly structured Campaign, with an amazingly supported and developed Zombies mode, and an insanely addictive Multiplayer mode with some of the best and most consistent DLC content and patch support by any COD developer years after the game’s lifecycle. Not to mention, that Black Ops 3 did Advanced Movement better than Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare ever did. Overall, a solid package that could have been incredible, if it weren’t for the subpar Campaign and the split perception on its balanced Boots on the Ground and Advanced Movement gameplay.
#3. BO1 = Extremely solid Campaign (not my favorite by any means, but still solid nonetheless) with an eclectic style of storytelling and some great character development amongst the main cast. Wager Matches in the Multiplayer were fucking awesome and addictive as hell, and the maps were great as well. While, Zombies delivered an exceptionally good offering, despite not being as expansive as it could have been at the time.

World at war was my all time favorite cod and I'm somebody that's been playing cod since 2003 ..it was just such a good game I think maybe that's why I'm hyped for ww2 might bring those memories back.

1. BO2: so many memories, going over to my friends house to play zombies when i was like 10, trying to become a quickscoper, 1v1ing friends, and my first cod
2. WW2: so damn fun, ive learned more about ww2 in 2 months from this game than i did all 9 months last year in history class. Ive poured 5 days into this game and i love the direction this takes the series in. Oh and its also the first cod im not trash at (1.08 k/d: not great, but an improvement from my 0.54 k/d in bo3)
3. BO3: i dont like exo jumps and shit, but i feel like they did the best they could have done with exo jumps in this game. Aesthetics looked amazing too.

Out of all the developers, Treyarch in my opinion has never made a bad game. WaW/BO1/BO2 were all objectively good games. Now we get into BO3. BO3 was the best futuristic Call of Duty. What made it bad in some eyes is the Activision effect. Activism on basically put a gun to Treyarch’s head and said “supply drops or else”. I don’t blame Treyarch for supply drops. I think they didn’t want it to be that way, but their bosses made it happen. It sucks, and I feel like the Black Ops series would be seen as the best if it didn’t happen, but there’s nothing we can do about it now.

Ghosts is lowkey one of the best imo. It’s not as good as black ops 2, cod 4, or modern warfare 2, but it was great. It was the first to feature character customization, and the overabundance of perks made room for many different playstyles and levels of replay ability. The innovation in the small details like the interactive parts of the map and the ability to have jammers and scanners on riot shields. Extinction was a gem and is my 2nd favorite coop mode in call of duty history, only taking backseat to black ops 3. The campaign was adequately written, even if it was somewhat predictable and cliché. And a solid chunk of the missions were very fun and innovative. The unique twist that was brought on in nearly every dlc map made the packs well worth it. Also, you could play as the predator. Like do I even need to explain why that is the best. Im probably slightly biased because this was the first COD that I bought on release date and wanted to/ was very invested in. But overall I think it was one of the better games.

Honestly cod WW2 should be number 10 because the game is just broken, sledgehammer won't listen to the community and just don't know how to make a good game. Infinite Warfare got most things right but the setting , the zombies story, and the weapons, you had decent leveling in zombs and they gave out the base variants for the dlc weapons for free to season pass holders and if you didn't have the season pass you had to do a challenge

People hate the Advanced movement call of duties for the simple fact that they suck at them really!! Shotgunners and snipers are the ones that hate those games the most because of how quick the movement was!! It also wasn’t easy to CAMP in these game either!!!

I didn't suck at them. I even accidentally had aim assist off for most of my play time and I still did pretty well imagine how well I'd do if I had aim assist on the whole time. And I still hated advanced movement

I totally agree with u with bo1 in #1 because I had the most fun in that game out of all the call of duty games. It was a game that just felt good to play, it’s multiplayer felt fair too and well balanced. I honestly don’t think cod will ever be that good again.
I think BO2 is up too high, MW2 too low. MW2 will always be the game. Even with all the flaws that could’ve been easily fixed it’s still the most enjoyable game to play 9 years later. World at war is also too low as well IMO.

My tastes in CoD games is rather strange in places. I've played for as long as you have but felt the opposite about advanced movement, as it breathed new life into the franchise for myself. I love IW because it allows me to do things that aren't quite as viable in other CoD games. I can run around like a Rambo wannabe with an LMG using man at arms, zip around the map with a shotgun or hang back sniping with a single transforming gun, or melt people using a silenced m1 garand at most ranges. The amount of viable loadouts and weapons that feel good to use to me really sell it.
I always that pang of sadness when someone says they don't enjoy the game, or literally think it's the worst in the series, but I know everyone has different tastes and IW didn't exactly get the best rap from the beginning, and really was improved upon over the course of its life span. Besides that, here's my list based entirely on how much fun I had with the game. If I was going to base my list on which games I thought were best in purely by "objective" quality and balance BO2 would be much higher, but the list is based on how much time and enjoyment I personally got out of each game.

My top 5 are pretty close in terms of enjoyment, near interchangeable. Advanced Warfare and below I have rather mixed feelings about the games, personally. Black Ops 2 is probably my 2nd biggest outlier, outside of rating IW so high, but the bottom line on that is; I just plain sucked at the game. I didn't play the game as much and just fell behind on the skill curve and never got much enjoyment out of it.
How come you never talked about Cod Ghosts extinction mode? I personally didn't have too much fun as it was too hard
My current stats (Of what I have. List will be updated, latest update July 15, 2018)
1. Modern Warfare 3: I still gotta put this at number 1, since it holds a special place in my heart.
2. Advanced Warfare: Unbelievable, right? I don't know, I just dig the movement system and I find it enjoyable enough to keep playing with. It has a special charm.
3. Black Ops II: I really suck at this game. But I like the weapons and the maps. Tons of fun, in my opinion.
4. Modern Warfare 2: I really like the progress bar. They should've kept that in the games. But the lack of leaderboards on PC and the broken weapons are big issues.
5. Black Ops: I've grown warmer for this game as time went by. I'm not really a big fan of the server browser on PC, though. But the gameplay is good, and buying weapons is a decent idea. I just prefer unlocking things as rewards.
6. Black Ops III: I still don't like the campaign, and the multiplayer is alright. But fuck the melee weapons, and the supply drop system. Advanced Warfare at least gave me free supply drops every now and then.
7. Ghosts: I've also gotten warmer for this game. It's really not as bad as people say it is. IEDs are definitely a problem, but I like how everything is just so easy to unlock.
8. Call of Duty 4: It's a shame I gotta put this at the bottom, but it's just outdated by today's standards. It doesn't have a lot of variety, which is why I love the other games. It just feels like a prototype of what the other Modern Warfare games hold. I still like this game, but it's probably now my least favorite.
I haven't played the first three, World at War, Infinite Warfare, or WWII yet, so I can't rate those games.

Ghost ruined Black Ops 1 for me, too many campers with silenced galils or whatever. Otherwise it would have been higher up. I don't think Infinite Warfare is the worst either, it has alot of content, I prefer the movement system in that game over AW. The only thing I don't like about it is the gunfights where people fly and shoot to win. Sure you have that in BO3 too, but it seems to happen alot less in that game. I also prefer everything else from BO3 over IW except the supply drop system and the fact that it has more DLC weapons then base game weapons. Black Ops 2 is simply the best because it's a fast phased, well balanced CoD game with good gunfights, killstreaks and maps.
It's the most populated CoD right now, that has to say something right? The only reason why people hate on it is because of the "advanced" movement. If you don't mind BO3's movement system then it's a really solid game.
Mr Perkaholic tbf every CoD has its bad things. BO1 the only smg you saw was the ak74u and the rest of the guns were very unbalanced too. AR's dominated. Black ops 2 was alot better in that aspect (hence why its above BO3)
Mr Perkaholic those aren't exactly the main weapons tho, they're meant to be less powerful cuz they are equipment/secondarys.
I just didn't really get too much enjoyment out og BO1, too campy and some maps were too big.

MW2 was the first cod game I ever played so it holds a special place in my video game heart. That moment in the campaign when they'd shoot Ghost, it still wounds me. :( Apart from the MW series and BO 1 and 2, the rest are just one time play games. Ghosts, Infinite and Advanced Warfare were so out of formula I felt like I was playing something else. Ghost felt like ghost recon and advanced and Infinite felt like Halo or some other advanced hybrid... it just wasn't right.
The campaing of mw and mw2 and bo1 was amazing
