- Since 2021, the Sky Railway of Santa Fe, New Mexico has been slowly, but surely, growing in popularity as a tourist destination for the Santa Fe area. Originally known as the Santa Fe Southern, and it still bears the SFS reporting marks, this tiny railroad has been treating thousands to a classic train ride with a small twist. George R.R. Martin, the original author of the popular television show, Game of Thrones, purchased the railroad after it had previously gone out of business and had a complete and total revision of the railroad. The motive power and rolling stock were repainted with an unconventional dragon-themed paint scheme for a different aesthetic to attract more tourists. Most railfans aren't the biggest fan of it, however, the tourists love it, and it's been one of Santa Fe's more popular attractions in recent years. I spent a cloudy September day on the railroad getting as many shots as I could since it was my first time chasing. Had a great time with the friendly crew and hope to come back soon!

Nice Gp16
I have a few questions.
1. Whats a difference between a step-top whistle and a regular whistle?
2. What do you use to fire an oil burner, for coal its a shovel but for oil is it a firing valve or something?
Interesting paint scheme on the EMD, sounds like a Leslie RS-5T horn!🛤🚂
It's a S3L
I like train old
Sky railway more like sky railway haha gottem
yeah
Early. Lol.
No COTS markings on those passenger cars. Totally illegal as per FRA regs. And who leaves the flag in the knuckle, and ditch lights on the loco on a shove back? Amateur-hour crew running this place?
If you got a problem with these folks then take it up with them rather than filling my comment section with negative attitude.
@@ArkansasLocomotiveWorks Just a factual observation coming from a professional railroader. If you take it personally and as negative, that's your issue. I didn't realize your feelings would be hurt by pointing out correct railroading procedures on a railroad video you are sharing with the rest of the world on your railroad channel of some railroad you are not affiliated with....
