In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create a custom shape mask and make it follow the desired object. This effect is also called motion tracked mask. Whether you want to create a mask for censorship purposes and hide someone's face - or you're just having fun - this video will help you take your editing skills to the new level.
Please note: while the free shape tool is available in the free version of VSDC, the inverted mask as well as the motion tracking module, are available in the Pro version.

I highly recommend the pro version of this video editor to all of my friends. But it has a few things I would like to see added. More preset options in the gallery for the free shape tool would be good. Also, If you could add a way to draw shapes and things directly onto the video using a drawing tablet, that would be great.

when i blur a face and want to save the video, it invert the blur, so the face can be seen, but all the other things is blurred, what went wrong?

It Won't Blur The Whole Object While It Is Moving. Any Suggestions?
Is there a way to add an image to the mask or do I have to get the pro version for that?
Well, this tutorial is originally for the Pro version. The motion tracking module which allows for "attaching" the mask to the movements of the object is a Pro feature. If you want to use an image over or instead of the mask - it will work the same way. You'll just have to apply the movement map to the image as well.

I am having issues editing a gameplay video, please help!

The only file I imported was my video - 2.8 GB & 1 hour long.
Along with some other music tracks.
o Multiple edits
o cut out small parts of video
o all clips are converted to sprites
o video is now 26 minutes long

This is great, but how do I actually apply an image as a mask? No tutorial video that I have found has explained this in any detail.
Hello, the steps are the same, but instead of the Free Shape that we used in the tutorial, just add your image, double click on it and apply the motion map.

camera tracking or motion tracking
i mean if u have seen it some like ".exe" videos with alot of editing use it for example if a other player is moving in a game the camera follows that object/person

This doesnt track the object in my video at all, it just processes for a second and nothing..
Hello, we're sorry to hear that you've encountered issues. Could you please provide more details about the error you're experiencing? In the motion tracking tool, there are multiple algorithms available that you can apply if the primary one doesn't work. There can be various reasons for this, such as the object going out of view, having erratic movement, or the tracking point's bounding box being too small, and so on. If that doesn't help, you can create a frame-by-frame path and fine-tune the map as demonstrated here: czcams.com/video/VAEXX5Cd2wM/video.html.
