I could hear your inner child raging with that science rocket toy 😂😂😂
Yeah, what a fail that was. I used to make those when I was a kid with vinegar and baking soda. I can't remember what I was launching but it would hit the ceiling pretty violently
@@BriBCG
Did the same thing as a kid. We'd use a 2L pop bottle and a wine cork. Pinned a ribbon to it and launched that thing like 100ft easily.
I wonder if the baking soda was old and that's why it didn't fizz as much?
My son started with similar rockets and then went onto rockets made with gunpowder which flew up 100ft or more, that’s a hobby in itself.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley
He had to hold the rocket down and shake it a lot more, up and down
A good 2 shakes and set it down quickly, only letting go of the rocket last second
It would've worked perfectly
I had one like the rocket as a child. Less than thrilling and no advances in all those years. And that was nearly 60 years ago.
At least, in those ads in comics in the 60s, these were a few cents. Now it,s over an hour of minimum wage! Though I don,t know how many tubes of Cloveline salves a kid had to sell to be desapointed with this back then!
The only thing that advanced was the price.
It's sodium bicarbonate and citric acid aka lemon juice and baking soda 😂
@@fliperotchy same ingredients I used in the 60s.
At least it’s safer than my 1960’s chemistry set!
I would need to get a tiny plastic cow figure to put in that tornado thingy🌪😂.
Was thinking the same. Never saw the movie, but I have seen the cow scene.
Or a wicked witch!
@@sandrastreifel6452 🤣 Oh! yeah!👍🏻
Hard to tell if it's a tiny cow or far away.
"We've got cows" lol
Bailey is always the star of the show
She’s the best, I love her sweet face
The co-host.
Who else lives to hear James say, "Oh come on now!" ? 😂 Great video as always 👍 Happy Sunday
I said, he should put that on a t-shirt.
Or "whoa! when it works.
Me too!!! It’s so wholesome 😂

$80 for a humidifier that isn't top fill is wild.
especially since i can get the Vicks brand cool mist one from walmart for 43 and a warm mist one for 42
Plenty of expensive ultrasonic humidifiers aren't top fill. You're also also not going to find it in a Vornado ultrasonic one as they operate a bit differently than other ultrasonic humidifiers. Vornado uses a secondary large fan inside of theirs to push the mist upwards preventing it from falling back to the floor allowing them to be placed on the floor without concerns of the ground getting wet.
@@vaxick "Plenty of overpriced ultrasonic humidifiers..."
There fixed it for you.
@@hotfiyahthe point he was making is that's why it's a more expensive Humidifier
Thats actually super interesting to know @vaxick
Awwww, Bailey's a happy puppers. She says "thanks dad."🐶
You should do a video on a cheap vs expensive bread machine. Or just one bread machine. I’m also interested in a review of the George Foreman 7-in-1 Grill/Air Fryer.
I'd also like to see bread machine comparisons. Mine is still going after years of use and has never messed up a loaf of bread, but I'd be interested to see what innovations have come about since I bought it.
@@purplecat4977 which bread machine do you have? I tested all the western name brand ones and had to give up and switch to a Japanese Zojirushi, which is a superstar!
@@soupsgord I have a Zojirushi, and yes. Total superstar.
Rocket launcher not worth $15…maybe $1.25 from the dollar store. Loved the “Oh come on now”. I felt that myself.
The child test kit would be better if you use Alka seltzer tablets. Learned this at my daughter's school during an after school science group.
I don't really care about scented candles and stuff but that wax warmer was pretty nice, I like the lantern design.
The way the rocket slowly crawled out of the test tube Lmfaoooo
Always love your videos, but I've come to a realization. Normally, I crochet while watching CZcams videos, but it's very difficult to count while listening to you count carrots 😂😂
That Reaction Rocket may have been disappointing but it was good for one thing. I had to say goodbye to my kitty today and have been very upset, and I laughed when that dumb thing flopped out of the tube with that little pop. Thanks, I needed that.
So sorry for ur loss Kelly...laughter truly does help to heal🐾💔🐾 Hugs to u❣️❣️❣️
@@wateroffaduck2353 thank you!
I saw that Reaction Rocket thingy in old 90's cable commercials when I was a kid. I had no idea they are still around. I can't believe it's still the same as always.
A much worse version of what I had as a kid. The rockets we had you fill like 1/4 of the way with water. Then it attached to a handheld launcher with a built in air pump. YOu pump it about 20 or 30 times and when you hit the button, the rocket would launch. It hit like 30-40 feet. Not bad for something that doesn't need any chemical consumables.
I literally laughed out loud with that rocket's initial blast off! LOLOL Hey, but it works. So there's that! Love all your, keep it up. ✌️
Don't have to worry about losing track of the rocket. 🤣🤣🤣
Only Elon Musk would consider that a successful launch.
The Reaction Rocket is absolutely hilarious, the perfect gift to give someone you don't like.
I worked at Kohl’s for seasonal in 2023. It’s tough, but when you shop around it’s pretty cool.
Lol
Bailey makes me so happy every time I see her, this one was one of the best, she looks so happy 🥰
As always, I really enjoyed your video. I was relieved to see how much better the Ninja chopper was since I bought one after you showed it in a previous video. Bailey does great product reviews.
I wasn't planning on bringing the Ninja back, but it seemed fair to compare since they're similarly priced - and the Ninja is on a completely different level!
Boy so many innuendos with that “reaction rocket” lol
I have one of those mini choppers. It was my mother's. I don't know what brand, and I know I've had it for 20 years. Heaven knows how long she had it before then. Granted, it may not do as well as your fancy Ninja, but when it's all you've ever used, I think it does great. Up until recently, the only time I used it, was rarely, and only for onions and green peppers. Problem was, it would chop them too fine, and there would be too much "juice". Then about 6 months ago, I had a recipe that called for shredded, beef. I figured, what the heck. I cut the beef in to little 3/8 inch cubes. It didn't just shred it, it pulverized it. I was impressed. I recently used it again on chicken. So, don't knock those little choppers too bad. They get the job done adequately.
Have you ever taken a product back, that's done so poorly, and gotten a refund? I think I'd do that with the rocket thingy. Not like you don't have proof, and "witnesses" to back you up on it's utter failure.
I love this style of content - the random finds from stores. It's a nice diverse theme to keep things fresh. And of course, we all love any video with Bailey in it ❤️
Been watching your channel for a few years now (somewhere around 3 or 4?) and you've given me so many great gift ideas as well as things to stay away from lol. Just wanted to say thank you for the excellent content and being such a genuine person! I always look forward to your uploads. Take care, James!
I like the tornado, might get the great grandson one! Liked all the honest reviews! Love seeing a happy Bailey!🐕
If all else fails, lest you got a fancy tornado drink stirrer lol
That rocket Gizmo! Talk about performance anxiety!!!
Had a plastic toy rocket in the sixties powered by water and an air pump, that worked really well, plus would cool the person launching it off on a hot summer day.
I had one of those too! They worked well!
I wanted you to do the rocket more times so I can keep laughing😂😂
Thx&see ya😁
If you don't use distilled water in an ultrasonic humidifier, you will have white dust all over your house.
i remember having the tornado lab toy as a kid
i wired it to run off a usb port on my pc so i didnt have to worry about batteries
the motor died after 2 years of being on 24/7 (unless my pc was off for storms/power outages)
So well done as usual. You get to the point, are funny, and have such good content!
I had one of those Discovery tornado things as a child, and I would literally stare at it for hours upon hours on end. I think after a couple of years of me owning it, it started to leak water, though.
I was looking for a comment like this.
When I was little I thought it was one of the tornado machines they have at museums that uses some sort of smoke or vapor to make a tornado and it took me several days to to realize you’re supposed to put water in it 😂😂
Those mini-choppers sometimes work better is your pulse them.
The burning plastic odor isn’t unusual with some small or even larger appliances.
I bought a IP Vortex oven that I can’t use because of the fumes. It doesn’t get past the first test run with the fumes hurting my chest.
Kohls on a weekday is an adult day care center
Hilarious!!
I have the chopper which I bought for only $10 about 1-1/2yrs ago. It should not have a burning smell. I am a ninja fanatic, but this little chopper does work when you’re only chopping just a little bit and you don’t wanna pull out the big dog. Love your show.
I have the Kitchen Aid mini and love it (240 watts)
@@chronic_payne5669Me too! Those mini choppers save me from dragging out my larger KitchenAide chopper - abs much easier to clean!
@@chronic_payne5669 I'm in the UK and have the Kenwood mini chopper. It's brilliant. Saves so much time.
I had a Cuisinart mini chopper for a long time, but the blade stem started developing cracks. When that and my old full size Cuisinart died after 40 years (it was Mom’s), I replaced them both with one new food processor.
We have an original Ninja chopper that came with two jars (small and full blender size), but that’s over 10 years old too and it’s developing some hairline cracks. I much prefer the flat top on your Ninja. Mine nests the motor in a top that’s difficult to clean. If you have one as old as mine, you know what I’m talking about.
I wish all the stores sold different products from each other. Kohl's is the same as Marshall's and TJ Maxx and Ross. Even Macy's sells all the same stuff. We don't need 10 different cheap choppers or humidifiers. We need a few options of each.
I love watching your reviews though! Especially Bailey ❤
Having growing up in the "space age "with a variety of rocket products ( e.g Estes rockets, etc al ) the Reaction Rocket was a hilarious failure. You continued attempts to make the impossible, possible, was very admirable. 😊
I just bought a mini food processor, I almost got the Ninja but I didn't like the idea of it having a battery inside which will eventually fail. Ended up getting a plug in Kitchenaid one which will hopefully work as well.
If it’s the Kitchen Aid mini chopper, you’ll love it. It’s powerful, easy cleanup and I’ve had mine for probably seven years and it’s holding up just fine. Plus dishwasher safe
James, I’m surprised you haven’t come across Vornado products before. They make fans and small heater. They were a little pricey but worth it. The fans and heaters were silent as advertised and very safe as far as surfaces and being knocked over. They were sold in stores like bed bath and beyond. Just the name on the brand makes me very inclined to buy it. And they last for years - I’ve had a couple over ten years and still going strong !
The most important review was Bailey’s! 😁
I use the mini chopper to process canned chunky cat food into a finer consistency for my older cat. We're talking a small quantity of food so the mini chopper is perfect for the task, plus everything goes in the dishwasher. I have a big and mini Cuisinart for the tougher stuff.
The camera angle @ 0:27 looked like you were being stalked! 😂
that wax warmer is way overpriced, and the cubes probably were too. We always find a bunch of the cubes on Walmart's clearance.
The rocket reaction is priceless. 😂
I just laughed SO loud at the rocket 😂😂😂. Bailey!!🥰🤗
I have the volcano discovery sitting on my desk as a prop. I stare at it. I find it relaxing. My daughter used this at one time for a project long time ago.
I friccin love Bailey Reviews
I always love it when Bailey gets a toy!
The only person I’ve seen that actually reads the directions! Thank you 😂
Thank you for testing all different kinds of products so we don't waste our money. That rocket wasn't worth 2 cents.
lol, that anti climatic rocket was hilarious!!
I really liked what you did with the chopper comparing it to a similar product. It really takes the review to the next level.
That ninja chopper is a beast. Want diced tomatoes? Two tiny bumps of the motor. Want puree? Hold it down for like 12 seconds lol
I think Vornado is a trade name as there are fans and portable heaters with that name!
Well, this is interesting seeing as I got a 40% off coupon for this Sunday! Time to check out the video :D
When I was a kid I had an air powered water rocket. You filled it 1/4 or something with water, then you put it on the pump/launcher and pump it up with air. The air expels the water out the nozzle and creates quite a bit of thrust for what it was. It would easily go as high as the 2.5 stories to the roof (like 30ft). That is with an 8 year old pumping it. Problem is it was very hard plastic and would fall to the ground or, just as often, my neighbor's cars.
Best part is Bailey of course but rest was great too. She's such a lovable goof. ❤
I've had my Ninja chopper for a couple of years now and really love it. Just a couple of pulses is all I usually need.
The tornado machine is more like a whirlpool machine.
"Vornado" is a brand of fans that are fairly expensive. I bought one of them with a floor stand. The switch (I think) went bad just after the five-year warranty expired. I'm going to take it to see if it can be repaired.
Apparently Vornado makes a line of ultrasonic and evaporative humidifiers. At $80, it looks like you got off pretty lightly, compared to other models.
This video unlocked a childhood memory, the Tornado thing I had a similar toy but it was manual. You had to keep pressing the button until it gained momentum, had plastic beads too. Gee forgot all about that lol
I've had the mini-chopper for 5 or 6 years. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I use it several times a week to chop carrots for a personal-size salad.
LMAO
RETURN THAT ROCKET😂
The rocket was hilarious 😂 😅
Ring toy for Bailey was definitely the best of this batch :)
7:15 "wow" made my day.
lol that rocket was pretty funny though.
I bought the Ninja on his recommendation, and it has already paid for itself.
Thanks James! I wish we had Kohl’s in Canada❤
I've had one of those little humidifiers (not this brand) and it works but the problem with this mist is that after using it for a while everything in that room will have a white film over it. I used Britta filter water but even then there was enough limescale left in the water.
Now I have a more expensive humidifier that blows the water through a filter so you get humid air that blows out instead of mist.
I think a videos featuring a little bit of Bailey is always a great video!
YAY Bailey!😊
Baking soda and vinegar in a film can was always the way to go for a homemade rocket. I did that as a kid. I will do the same thing with mine before I buy something from the store lol😊
New freaking reviews upload!
It's best to use distilled water for the humidifier to avoid hard water build-up.
I had a mini chopper similar to the one you got at Kohls and owned it until the Ninja products started hitting the market. All my choppers, mixers, blenders etc are Ninja. Great products and company. The Wax Warmer is pretty nice as well.
Great review, James, as always.
Bonus info
Home humidifiers are great and all, especially if you live somewhere up North where you have to heat your home or appartement for long periods of time during the winter months, to prevent excessively dry air.
^But, one important detail about any humidifier that shouldn't be overlooked^: the ultrasonic unit creating the water vapor has a terrible down side: the water vapor carries with it the minerals contained in the water and eventually settles down everywhere in the house as a thin white dust. The harder the water, the more mineral dust you will end up with.
This "mineral dust", if left unchecked, can cause throat irritation, headaches, itchy eyes and unexpected coughing.
The only solution to this problem is to buy a water filter (pitcher or faucet attachment). The aim is to remove the minerals in the water as much as possible.
Only then can you "feed" safely the humidifier, with this filtered water.
Just thought it would be a good thing to let your viewers know...
This was super helpful! Just got a humidifier and was wondering what the white dust was, guess I’m filling it with the brita from now on. Thanks!
Enjoyed the video, especially, the reaction rocket🚀😂. The chopper was great too. You should have shirts made up. "The burning smell does not bode well 😮" 😂
The rocket made me think of the cola/mentos reaction… might be more exciting :) (wear goggles, just in case)
Everyone knows the water rockets you pump are king!
Just watched the intro and enjoy that it looked like you were holding the camera but saw the reflection that it was on a stand on your vehicle.
I have been shopping at Kohl's for years. However I never ever went into a Kohl's and purchased anything. Reason being if you sign up for a Kohl's rewards card you'll get emails with special coupons and every time that I shop at Kohl's it was always online with a 30 or 40% off coupon including free shipping I have never ever paid what the retail price is on the stickers in Kohl's. My most recent purchase was a Bissell Pet vacuum cleaner that sold for $149 and with all of my coupons and free shipping I got it for less than $70
4 products out of 6 isn't bad. That tornado toy and wax warmer were my favorites.
Tornado machine and TWISTERS is opening later this year. Nice timing. All they needed was a cow flying in front of the tower.
My favorites are the wax warmer and the tornado in a container. 👍😁
So far I've found that I'm still using the volcano humidifier, even though I thought it was overpriced.
Sorry about your premature... launch, sir. 😏 At least you got to stick it in as far as you wanted to. 👍
Don't get in trouble with the FAA with that rocket. Nice video. I wanted to love the humidifier.
As I kid I had one of them glass balls that had the electricity in them. The Tesla ball things. Those were so cool.. I kinda want one now as an adult lol. The tornado reminds me of that. It's just pretty cool and relaxing
Have the tornado for years and love it. Con is that it uses regular batteries, but I have mod it to usb cable.
Kohl’s has changed dramatically, especially when they decided to plunk a giant Sephora right into the middle of the shop! I shopped at Kohl’s for years - the tags in my shirts can prove it - but I’ve almost stopped shopping there - almost because I keep hoping I can find what I want - as in a pair of jeans without holes and fits my 5foot height! Still nothing! I did buy some ladies underwear several months back (no snickers!). Only place where I live that had quality (more or less)! But I had a hard time finding socks - yes, just plain socks for when it started to get cold a few months ago! Departments stores in general have really gone down the tubes!!!
In early. Thanks for these videos. Love them!
That rocket killed my neighbor. Must have shook it too much.
That product is marketed to kids and the reason it is so wimpy is so it can’t cause harm. I can’t imagine what your neighbour added to the rocket that would kill him.
@@soupsgord
It was a joke.
He died of disappointment?
Kohls routinely increases the price above MSRP then puts the item on sale for the MSRP. It's funny how many people fall for the sale price.
YES!!!! Finally someone who says that burning strawberries smells like burning electronics!!! OMG!! ive been using this analogy for years and people look at me like im crazy....
I've lived 67 years and I have never needed a humidifier. I'm not even sure what you need one for. Oh, that rocket was the biggest dud I've seen in a long time. I think I get more action when I clean my disposer with vinegar and baking soda! lol! Ninja, hands down! Was warmer, about what I expected., Ring stuffer looks like it would be a hit with all the dogs!
The money you paid for the rocket was worth it because I laughed so hard at your reaction 😂
I had forgotten that Kohl's sells more than clothes and accessories, despite living about 5 minutes from one! I may check it out sometime when I'm bored and need to get out of the house.
I think you are supposed to shake the bakingsoda with the water for the rocket, we used to do bombs with those old kinderegg surprise toy containers that were hard to open up and water+bakingsoda and throw them like grenades, they pop open with a bang when the reaction intensifies. The reaction is too slow when you just let a little bit of the bakingsoda touch the water, the pressure builds too slow and the rocket will just slide out. Dunno how effective the toy is but it the rocket should not just slide out like that if it went out like a bang like my kindereggs.
I've had an electric mini chopper for decades and it works just fine. I checked and it's 50W.
I was lucky enough as a kid that plastic film canisters were still able to be found even though no one really used them.
Those were great, you put some baking soda in the cap (with toilet paper over it if needed) fill the canister with vinegar. Quickly put the cap on well flipping it over.
Those would shoot up like little rockets and you could keep reusing the container to do it
