Hmmm sometimes if you are in a hurry to jail suspects just because they say they are guilty, you will end up missing a larger opportunity to arrest others who might be involved. Maybe he pleaded guilty in order to avoid investigations fishing out other suspects. Investigations must still go on to make sure that he acted alone if not others must also be arrested as accomplices if he acted with others. Even the car he sold and all that must be investigated to arrest the person who bought it. Who knows, the person might be someone who buys stolen vehicles. So you see, pleading guilty is even more of a reason why investigations may go on to arrest others. But investigation would not be possible if he is sentenced and the case is closed.

That's how it works, they need more time to get all that is involved, they will not get all evidence or everybody involved when they don't take time to go into the matter and also when not taken time he can later said he said he is guilty at the state when he is not mind stable

What if the husband had contracted Allister to kill his wife so he could marry his long-time sweetheart, or if the deceased was seeing someone's husband and the person paid Allister to eliminate her? I also heard she is a businesswoman, and what if she has acted in a way that someone may want her dead? You can't rule out the essence of investigation in a murder case simply because the suspect has admitted to committing the crime. Let's trust the process

@@adolffrimpong5626Not everyone will choose divorce, especially when properties are involved. I'm not saying the husband did that. You arrested a man who confessed to killing an MP. You jail him, and the case closes, but the fact is that I paid the hitman to do the job so I can contest for the seat of the deceased. It could even be that I owe the MP and cannot pay. How can I also be arrested and punished without investigation?

The length of time it takes for a court to prosecute a case, even when the accused has pled guilty, can vary for several reasons:
    1. Legal process: Courts have specific procedures and legal requirements that must be followed, which can add time to the process. This includes evidence collection, witness testimonies, and legal filings.
    2. Backlog of cases: Courts often have a backlog of cases, and the order in which they are heard can be influenced by various factors, including the severity of the crime and the availability of court resources.
    3. Sentencing considerations: Even when a defendant pleads guilty, the court must still consider the appropriate sentence. This can involve pre-sentencing investigations, recommendations, and hearings, which take time to complete.
    4. Negotiations: Sometimes, plea bargains or negotiations between the prosecution and defense can delay the final resolution of a case as they work out the terms of the guilty plea and potential sentence.
    5. Appeals and reviews: In some cases, there may be appeals or requests for reviews of the guilty plea or sentence, which can prolong the process.
    6. Legal rights: Courts must ensure that the accused's legal rights are upheld, including the right to due process, which can require time-consuming legal proceedings.
While it can be frustrating for victims and the public when cases take a long time to resolve, the legal system aims to ensure a fair and just outcome, even for those who have pled guilty to a crime. The exact reasons for delays can vary depending on the specific circumstances of each case and the jurisdiction in which it is being prosecuted.

Francis, pls don't rush to make such comments, he is just going through committal proceedings and afterwards, he will be sent to high court for sentencing.
Criminal cases of such nature requires process to be followed and thorough investigation to bring all accomplices to book.
The intent and the action must fully coincide ie established by the investigation so that the jury can give 100% conviction
