In the Beauty Hall, we're lucky enough to meet legendary make-up maestro Mary Greenwell behind a pink pop-up counter surrounded by over-sized No.5 scent bottles and sweetie jars brimming with Chanel lipsticks, nail varnishes, eyeshadows... 'It's like a Chanel Christmas!' she trills excitedly. 'And Karl is Santa Claus!' Ooh, yes please.
Mary introduces us to Chanel's limited-edition Knightsbridge collection, created by Peter Philips. 'The products speak about London in an English Rose way,' she explains, from the glowy Brompton Road blush to the bright pink lipsticks. Personally, we've fallen in lust with the sparkily eye colours that are so squishy, they can easily be applied by finger tip - and Ms Greenwell is their biggest advocate. I love how she says at first she's only staying 3 mins than it stretches to 15. Really shows how after over 20 and some odd years she loves her job and makeup just as much..really inspriring.

I love Mary! She was so gracious to do this "quick" tutorial. I loved how she said it would only be 3 min but she has such a passion for doing make up that she took 15 min. Well Done Mary!
I would guess the model is 13. She is so spectacularly pretty. She looks scared to death but she is SO SO precious. I hope she never loses her innocense. Such sweetness.

The lipsticks all kind of look the same on camera! But Mary is great, I love how she's not afraid to comment on how amazing the models already look, and how she doesn't use loads of fancy brushes to put on eyeshadow. Sooo much more subtle and pretty than the awful makeup demos you get in department stores.
She has amazing eyebrows!

she wasnt referring to as we would on youtube, she meant as in a guru of makeup
she used the word "guru" in it's original meaning = absolute master. I think the phrase "beuty guru" is just used in a wrong way nowadays, young girls just doing their own make up on youtubes call themselves gurus and it's not okay.
A bit of make up, a full on smile, and the model will totally look like Audrey Hepburn.

Thats probably because people like Michelle Phan call themselves beauty gurus and Mary is actually proffesional and an artist.
