My best friend used to own one of these back when we were 19. He got it from his grandpa. It sounded nice, did't have seat belts and was stealing the show everywhere on the streets. This one seems to be tuned and somewhat quicker.
I had one in 1980 1968 850sport good fun nippy saw 100mph out of it over 60 mph in second gear they just seemed to keep on revving keep up with a mini cooper going through London one night but my one was rotten with rust here in the UK not many about now shame was a nice looking little coupe
terry Roberts I had one of the originals, with single headlights and less power. I’d forgotten how great it sounded. It was a hoot to drive and I developed a taste for rear engined handling - my fun car these days is a 996 Carrera 4
without polluting very much? Do you know what that is? Its engine with DCOE carburetor and mechanical fuel pump. If you push the accelerator a bit, it goes over 10l of fuel per 100km.
It is a good car, easy to get around in traffic or tight parking lots. The doors suck a little because you have to slam it as hard as you can to get the door closed completely.
@@juippi420 I´ve changed the door seal for something softer, now I dont have to slam it as hard as the glass can take, but I still have to slam it a bit. And it also looks smoother from outside. I´ve also changed the brake cylinder to two-circuit from Fiat 126 and added some fog lights to front bumper.

It’s takes a small fortune to get these cars to run as this one does (from my experience!) Thank you for sharing this video
No why? An engine from the Autobianchi A112, converted to left-hand rotation and ready.
Beautiful drive! I have a '71 here in New Zealand. Thank you :-) I hope you still have this car. Even after six years, your vid is still enjoyed.
amazing! this 850 seems like a blast to drive!
It is! It drives like a go cart! I had one and I loved it. It was modified for rally. So much fun!
Fantastic engine sound. What a power!!

I had one some years ago. Total blast to drive! Must be nice to have your own Nürnbergring!
I love yout car. I have a SEAT 850 Coupé. They are really nice. Love it
My first car. Got great pleasure. On trip to Italy 1970 with my future wife.
wow ,what a ride...amazing little fiat...
I owned two 850 coupes. Loved both, though they were underpowered. Wish I had another.
I had it, so much fun, 700 kl 1000 cc. litle ferrari.
Wonderfull road, great car and driving... see my 850n

you see how fast can go a small engine without polluting very much.

Very good !!!!

Modern cars are faster, but boring to drive. Funny how more power doesn't mean more fun.
More actual speed, less experienced speed.
the 4° gear is too heavy. there is a drop of RPM of 2000 RPM between 3° and 4° (from >5000 to 3000 RPM )

Abarth made a special gear box 5 speed for his 850 coupé 1000 OT, (app for all model FIAT 850 but very, very expensive)
it's called overdrive.

How did you obtain so much hp?
a lot of? are only 76hp. the engine has 1050cc and comes from the A112 abarth
@@uwethoma I wrote "so much" because the original 850 coupe has only 52 hp, and I didn't know you swapped the engine

do you need to change the engine supports and bellhouse to fit the A112 1050cc? Thanks!
No , these are the same as for the 903er
Hmmm, nice!!! And do they rotate in the same direction?
no, in 850 turns the motor left
with camshaft from the 903
from the standard 52hp 903cc ?
Is it 903 cc? it is very fast ...
no, it's 1050 ccm from Autobianchi Abarth HP 70
Now its clear...is it diffucult to assemble and change the rotation? because effect is really visible
0:35 haha -cant be the only one who noticed
According to the SCHLABUBVVO laws in Eu sadly soon all gas car will be illegal!
hahahahahahahaha :-))))
