I've had the bulldog in 44 special for many years, and I love that revolver. I have had this pitbull on my radar.

Took my 9 mm to the range the first time and the second time I took a file to bring down the huge front sight that made the bullets drop down 6 inches at 7 yards. Another thing, get ready to clean the spring chambers that hold the shells in. I'm gonna use a spray to cleans the holes next time. I gotta say, after I made the front sight lower, the gun is easy to shoot accurately. My old (over 30 yrs.) Charter Arms off duty 38 special still looks and shoots like new-from out of the box. I hope this new 9 mm turns out to be a wise investment also.

Mine suffers from the same issue. Did you hand file the front sight or use something else?

I've had mine for several years. Love it! I was expecting a 6-shot but apparently they've gone to a 5-shot cylinder because of problems with spent shell ejection. I sent mine back to Charter Arms and had the barrel upgraded to 4". There IS a Canadian Compliant version that comes, stock, with a 4" barrel and adjustable rear sight but they're hard to find.

I have an extremely similar 9mm revolver made by Taurus. If you can't find the Charter Arms version, get the Taurus version if you must have a 9mm revolver. Mine came with moon clips, but I don't really need them unless I want to use them like speed loaders. The shells fall out by themselves when I swing out the cylinder and shake it. The negatives are the limited 5 round capacity, the very heavy trigger pull and the increase in felt recoil. I have a Ruger LC9s in 9mm, 7+1 rounds, which is about 18 oz., lighter than either of these 2 revolvers. In addition, the trigger on the LC9s is much lighter and shorter than the double action trigger on the Taurus revolver. I know that all revolvers have a very heavy double action trigger. For all these reasons, I shoot my LC9s with greater accuracy than the revolver, unless I cock back the hammer and shoot single action. Yes, revolvers are very reliable, and if you have a light strike, you can just pull the trigger again, whereas if it happens in a pistol, you have to rack the slide to eject the bad round. Bear in mind that the Sig Sauer p365 is also lighter than this revolver, and that pistol has a capacity of 10+1. I love having a revolver chambered in 9mm, but you should be aware of the shortcomings of 9mm revolvers compared with 9mm pistols. If you're thinking of using a revolver for self defense, consider the capacity of the handgun, because chances are, you probably won't be reloading either the revolver or the pistol in the gravest extreme.

It is true that a .380 caliber Charter Arms Pitbull came on the market in late 2019, and was produced from late 2019 through 2020, the .380 version is, unfortunately, no longer available. If you own one, you had better keep it because it will become a collector's item someday.

I truly fell in love 🥰
    with
    the practicality
    and
the availability of 9 mm caliber ammo
And now that we are starting a new year 2023
    9 mm ammo
    is much more budget friendly
still effective for self-defense compared to other larger calibers
I'll prefer a hammerless snub nose revolver
