These have been life savers for me. I'm a teacher, I'm not rich. The gel strips have helped me stop biting my nails and the price is decent. I personally use Dashing Diva. They are gel strips and I have had them last up to a month. It takes practice for sure but I love all the different designs. It's fun for me. But I do splurge on gel pedicures once a month. 💜
Love Dashing Diva!!!
Do you have to soak them off or do they just peel?
@@mab1564No, you saturate the nail bed with cuticle oil and carefully push off nail color.
Omg I have dashing diva and I wanted to make sure they worked well before I wore them, so thank you so much!
Geez, the music + voice + colors + lights made this video so soothing.
So the stickers are meant to have 2 different cuticles shapes if you look one side is square one side is round 😊
Hello Kiley 👋
I thought I saw that too!
Thank you
No actually the round end is supposed to go towards the cuticle. I do a lot of stickers.
Ahhh!!!!! I didn’t notice that before!!! Good to know!!!! 😊😊😊😊
I've been using semi cured gel strips for a few months now and love them! Much more durable than regular polish. There are a few tricks you can use to keep them from snagging your hair. I also recommend using a gel top coat even if the directions don't necessarily call for it. They look much better and are even more durable with it. So happy to see you try these!
what are your tricks??
@@iloveladiesman217 You can use the pointy end of the orange stick provided to roll the edges down, or melt the edges with a bit of acetone. Search for the acetone trick or jelly roll.
When you use gel top coat, do you then need to use regular soak off acetone because it's a gel top?
I use Lily and fox and just started using gel topcoat. It is very very nice for them. They not only look like salon nails they’re more durable. I screw up my nails the second I finish with polish 😂
@@CattivaBluesky has a no wipe :) but my gel base I have needs an acetone cleaning right after because the stickers will not adhere if you don’t rub a very small amount of acetone on them
I think they are a great idea for someone who doesn't do nail art as you said or someone who changes out looks frequently! I prefer doing my own nail art and how good I feel and how proud I am of my nails when I'm done!
Yup... me too. I also do my own so I can change designs every week. I couldn't afford to go to a salon that often and I really don't want the same design for 3 weeks.
I love Suzy and I love Christine. I love how they collaborate and support each other most of all ❤️
I have used those in the past! Those were fun and fast! I used a brush with a bit of acetone on it around the cuticle area to thin it and shape it a bit. I had to finish with a clear coat afterward, but it did look good.
I love that idea!!
Your music and your voice together are so satisfying. I felt like I was in a spa session ♥
I just finished putting on my gel stickers and then I got this notification. I wish I had seen this before hand. Very helpful, thank you.
I recently bought some of these strips I got the ohora ones and I LOVE THEM!! Never going back to regular polish or gel polish!! They last and last!!! Easy to apply and my order of doing them: find size, apply to nail, cut excess, file excess off, cure in lamp, while gel is warm press down to ensure adhesion, cure one last time, press gel to nail again while warm, and start again and do each nail individually!! 😊😊😊oh and I use acetone first to dehydrate my nails 😊
Thanks for the tip! I will be trying for the first time
I started using the Sally Hansen strips years ago. Tried Incoco strips(now Color Street). Also tried Dashing Diva. The regular dashing diva strips are ok but their gel cured ones are amazing!! Color street is my favorite for the regular nail strips. I use a UV gel topcoat over them. I can get up to 3 weeks of wear on natural & hybrid gel. You can bling them up as well. Lately I've been doing my own nail art but if you're strapped on time then the strips are the way to go!!
Suzie is the best!! I am learning so much. Never imagined I would learn to do my own nails.
Hello Tina 👋
For stickers like the one used for the thumb, if one side is too square you could try the other side if it looks more round.
They usually have a square end( for toes) and a round end (for fingers)
I was just thinking why didn't she just flip it around so the curved side was against her cuticle :D
Love how it’s informative and also peaceful. Keep up the music in the vids!
This video was the absolute BEST!!!!! I cant wait to do mine. Thanks a bunch
I’ve used these gel stripes and nail polish strips in the past when I was in bit of a hurry and didn’t have time to do a cute design on my nails. They did hold up pretty great but I experienced the same thing with getting hair caught in the strips after 7 days or so. Overall these are good to have on hand for quick nail designs if you don’t have the time. Great video !!!!
Hello Angelica 👋
I love this video and results!!!😍😍😍 Great option with the stickers!!!!👀💪💪💪
My very first time seeing one of your videos and it was wonderful. The video and sound quality was top tier. Your explanation and tutorial was clear and patient and just your entire speach and delivery was perfect. I especially love how the entire review and the update was all in one video. So much better than these horrible "influencers" who like to break things up into 3 and 4 videos for more views. i love how you gave the product an honest chance and even said the raising bit on the nail bed could be due to many variables not just a poor product. I dont even know if you'll ever see this comment but that was one of the best reviews ive ever seen and im now a subscriber!!! ❤
Thanks for this video! I'm seeing these gel strips everywhere lately! It's nice to see an honest review/test them to see how long they last.
Hello Rachel 👋
I use to use them, both the peel and stick and the gel strips. I found that if you have an apex on your nail, they won't fit, even when you stretch them. These are made for the bare nail, not for sculpted nails. But some are better than others. It depends on the brand. But they dry out so fast. I prefer using gel out of the bottle over these strips.
I would much prefer using the gel from bottle.
These are basically a hack for those who don’t want to use it from a bottle. And for those who may not have the patience for the skills to apply it out of the bottle. And there is obviously some compromise when using a peel and stick one size fits all situation
Hello 👋
@@NailCareerEducation how do you cure them? If you don’t have a UV light, can you Make a video of some sort
@@PsoasmusclepainApparently you can sit outside in strong sunlight to cure them but a lamp is ideal.
I bought some from Amazon different color same brand. I did everything as you did with one caveat, I put a coat of clear builder gel over it after one week to seal the edges so it would not catch my curly hair. They last 3 weeks, I took them off to change the color and due to nail growth. This was an easy way to save my nails by giving them extra protection but allowing them to grow without tips acrylics or hybrid gel. Love yr channel especially helpful for someone new to diy at home, thanx Suzie and happy holidays 🥰
Thank you so much for this review and since you are a professional it does mean a lot!
Thanks for another helpful video! It made me happy to spot the anniversary collection box on your table. I'll continue patiently waiting for there to be a Holo Taco x NCE Collab. 😄 What a dream that would be!
you have inspired me to buy some and try them out for myself, thank you...ill definitely make a video and try a wear test...
Thank you for sharing this Suzie I saw them on Amazon a week ago they caught my attention I have a few designs in my shopping cart I’m getting ready to checkout in the next few hours I am very pleased to see you apply them👍🏽😊
I sleep with suzies videos not cuz they boring but they are just so relaxing and like meditation to me. I also watch her when i fight with my bf and need to calm down 😂😂
👍🤩💝I absolutely love love love those stickers. I love not having to wait to polish to dry. They actually love that they protect my natural nails. 🤩💝
wow i really need to try them out!!!
i love doing my nails myself but also i am far from good and far from having enough time to make it a serious hobby, so i feel like these would be a really nice option from time to time!
thank you so much for this video! I
I use the cheaper stickers for toes-cover with a gel top coat-once it's cured they last for a month easy. Mine made it through 2 weeks in HI with sand, water etc!
I really appreciate this review, I looked last week to see if you had any info on these before I bought some.
Thank you so much for teaching us 💅
That's good idea for someone that isn't into nail art or in a hurry. I love doing nails I've not tried those yet. I do have ideas if I did try them out. They are beautiful.😍 Thank you and Camera Man for all you do love you guys. God bless. 🥰💖💖💖🤗
Hello Michelle 👋
Love your videos
Learnt so much from you
Thank you 🙏
Fell down CZcams rabbit hole 🙄searching for reviews on the GC nails, lol. Soon as I caught that you reviewed ‘em I KNEW I was going to get the information I needed✨
I love these and can't wait to try them! I just recently and finally stopped biting my nails completely. Yes I've been biting them for 41 years, but this should help me out tons! P.S where did you get those beautiful glasses?! Amazing look on you! Love the tutorials! 🤓
I have natural, not too long but really thin and bendy nails. The gel ones they cure get nice & hard and keep my nails from tearing. I love them. They usually stay on a week, sometimes a week & a half but I’m hard on my nails and type on a keyboard all day long. Also I’ve found a glass file works best.
Hello Cathy 👋
I looks like these gel strips have different curves at each end - one end seems to be flatter than the other, this would enable you to match the curve to the shape of your cuticle. Great review Suzie
Hello Paula 👋
Christine! Her colors are amazing
The best HT collection ❤
Your videos make my day!!
Hello 👋
A UV squish light helps with preventing hair getting caught. Just press on all sides of the nail before curing. Also, do not slather oils on freshly done stickers (that loosens the adhesive) and I do mine before bed so that they are not exposed to water until the next day. 😊
Hi what’s a UV squish light ?
@@Andrea00013It’s like a silicone stamper but has a uv light source.
Love these sticker polish nails, I take the cheap ones and put an acrylic or gel/cure top coat on. Helps them last like a manicure.
Great review Susie, especially to see how long they lasted.
Love this!
Oh definitely I will try them
🥰love your videos 😍😍 you are the besttt
Hello Gezen 👋
A fun little challege for suzie would be to pick 3 random colors, a technique/material/extra (soap bubble nails, foil, bling, powder, ombre, oil slick, ... ) and a theme (natural, elegant, funky,...) and try to make the most beautiful design out of it. 🥰
Soap bubble nails?😃
@@ioanaminescu1230 you put gel polish on, then soap bubbles and let is cure in the lamp. Gives a real cool snake skin like effect👌
Hello Anna 👋
You are just the sweetest
Aww luv ur chanel, iv just leant polygel and 1 of mine is shaving on my hair, its gligter polhgel, never tried a system like it, so quick 😮😮, iv managed to get 2 of 5 perfect, first try very pleased, although was hard to get off, iv bn able to pull the others off easily with a dip in acidtone, and orange wool sticks
I use Dashing Diva Glaze and they are great!
When I'm feeling sad or down I tend to do self care, ie skin care nail etc. Dashing diva is amazing and helps my weakened nails. They last for so long, and even my mom can keep them on, and her nails are SUPER oily.
14:13 😂 😂 Those big eyes peering out from among all those boxes 😂 😂
Great video! First time I seen them used with no top coat.
Hello Rhonda 👋
Woww Amaizing...I Love it
Hi Susie, have you ever tried Dazzle Dry nail polish? I would love to know what you think about it. I love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!
I ❤ u. Im from quebec and i love your videos.thank u for that 😊
Hi Suzie I have one ❓ when I'm doing gel polish after applying base coat some time I applied wrong color on nails before curing if it's reminds me so I take it off with acetone and I feel that base coat stickiness went also with it which is necessary for gel polish so what I have to do in that situation?
Thanks. You are amazing.
Can’t wait to see your new studio
Hello Bernadine 👋
I just recently started looking into these and didn't know how to use them. I knew you'd have information on it 😂
I’ve been using nail stickers from Shein with a gel top coat for durability. They’re not all created equally 😆 Some are so thin and tear easily and some are great. I tried the semi cured gel ones for the first time yesterday. Wow! The application is so much easier. They don’t curl up when you apply them, they hide nail ridges, they don’t crease or bubble. However, I never experience hair snagging with the plastic stickers but the gel ones are snagging.
Thank you so much for the review. I dont know if you read these or not. Awhile ago (maybe 2yrs) you did a video on a mask that had a small fan and filter in it. I have looked through your videos but I can't find that one. Is it possible for you to share a link for it?
You have to try the Jelcie ones! Such an amazing company
I have the same Holo Taco mani on my nails!
I use nail strips all of the time and have been for a couple years. I do use them over builder gel and I always use a clear gel top coat to seal it all in. They last until I take them off.
Hi, i was looking closely and one end seems squareer and the other rounder for application near the cuticle (?)
I think these are super cool, esp for those nail emergencies, you have to go somewhere and its last min so cant get an appointment at salon, you can just apply these, also i think it can also be used in a salon as a quick sticker gel service can be charged a little cheaper. I wonder if it would last longer if you had put on topcoat? also if you can kinda file around cuticle area to make it more flush? oh my brain is just thinking of all the things one can do with these lol. thanks for sharing
Hello Nicky 👋
Could I also do it without the cure light?
Hi are you sold out of your order less monomer? Or do you not sell it anymore?
Okay these companies give you absolutely no information about application. I learn a way more watching your video than any of theirs. 😮 thanks so much!
How do you make them ??? I want to make my own vs buying them
How does the strength of these compare to acrylic?
Dude this looks so good I wish I could do it but I don’t wanna waste money 😂😂
I wonder if it would work well with nail forms to help make a nice u-shape at the end?
You, my dear, are reading my mind. I just ordered a set of stretch to fit semi-cured in a style that matches our team colors, just for fun.
I learn so much from your videos. 🙏 Thank you. ❤️🥰
Hello Dana 👋
I really wana try peelies!
I top mine with gel or dip top coat and it’s great
Very pretty 😀
Hello Jenn👋
Can you keep the long even tho your natural nail is short?
Can you do a video on like proper cleaning of tools for us at home that do our nails? And how not prevent you from getting allergic reaction to product? I have been very careful at not getting product all over my skin and still got an allergic reaction after over a year of doing my own nails.
Thanks suzie!!
Oh that sucks eh. Sorry to hear that. Allergies don’t have much to with not being clean, it has everything to do with yr own bodies sensitivity and uncured product - so many variables like the lamp the amount ingredients the product and how you use and incompatibilities. 🙁but yes good idea
Would love to see you use the nail polish version on these they are nail wraps
Thank you so much for testing out products like these. I’ve been curious after seeing a number of at home dip products advertised…care to give that one a go?🤷🏼♀️😊 Could it really be an option?
She has videos on dip powders. See the first 5 videos here.. czcams.com/users/NailCareerEducationsearch?query=dip%20powder
Hello Cherry 👋
You are wonderful! I did notice when you went up a size that you said the cuticle area was too square. It looked like the other end was more round. You could have turned it around.
Yup I sure coulda lol
Hello Vicky 👋
Great video! I prefer polish & doing my own nail art, but I was curious to see how well these work.
Now we just need someone who's clever to figure out how we can make our own gel strips able to be set aside to be applied at a later time. *That* would be cool!
You take gel polish, make a design on a rubber nail mat ir plastic wrap bag, etc. Semi cure it or if you want plain polish, jut use polish and let it dry. Then, follow the same steps to apply. 😀
@@CannaTwin2 I would need more information because I can't get it to work with gel polish.
@@noneya1691 look up "how ro make gel nail strips using gel polish"
Try Jelcie! Women, POC owned semicured gel brand with the BEST designs.
I have been looking for that Holo Taco bundle and colors but can’t find them
I have some polish strips from Color Street, I find they aren't as easy to get off the backing paper, I have some on in between my nail appointments. It's nice to not have the mess around my cuticle and skin from nail polish though.
Hello Jana
very interesting product i wonder how it is removed? do you have to soak/file them off? or can they just be peeled off?
Hello Marie 👋
Use plain nail polish remover. I use NON acetone and it works just fine
@@katherinegoldeneagle2665 thank you!!!
@@mariejane8428 You're welcome
I just started doing acrylic nails and I have this top coat and it says on it "soak off" what does that mean exactly?
Hello Lauren 👋
With how thick they are I wonder if you were to use a nail form and cure it would it work for a short time nail extension
Only if you mean ‘a short time’ was 60 secs until you did…. Anything
No! These have no strength whatsoever
They are like a couple coats of gel polish
They’re pretty cool for people who want cute nails and don’t have the skill or time yo gain skills to do designs. I prefer painting my own but for a sometimes mani these would be pretty cute
Edit: also I wanted to mention I’ve watched another nail tech/CZcamsr Tatyana Bugry do gel strips and she suggests using a cuticle stick to apply the nail strips so you’re not touching the part that sticks to your nail. And she stretches them over her nails using the stick as well. It looks and sounds easier said than done lol.
Love watching your videos Suzie! I do have a question so if anyone else can answer for me from experience. I’ve been wanting to try these so bad but I am a mom of 2 boys and am constantly doing dishes and bath time and such. Can anyone attest to how well they last through the soap/water trials of motherhood 🤣
My favorite semi cured gel nail wraps are by Jelcie. They're stretchy and the strips are longer so you can get more manis out of them. Removal is very easy too.
Thank you!
Hello 👋
Miss.Susie, help me what watt do you need to nuke/cure nails and how do you tell what you have. Do you need high watt for uv or the other one mine takes forever for 120 sec. I love your show and kitties. Please do a video o lights .thank you God bless
Hello Patricia 👋
I used gels when they first came out in the 90's when the lamps still burned your fingers. Products have come so far
Do they peel off easily
Can you use these as extensions as well?
No. They’re not thick or hard enough
Hi can you do poly gel and semi cure mixed
I have many Hybrid, General Videos if you go to my channel page, click on playlist, and you will see the hybrid gel playlist- Polygel is a Brand, Hybrid Gel is the product
Do these strips need to be used on natural nails, or can they be used on artificial nails, too?
Seems as if your Acrylic quick tips adhered with acrylic is faster. But good idea
