    I love the idea of the tunnel to make the land more efficient.

    Great video! Unless I'm mistaken, that was a nice touch showing the same truck you followed down the highway, as it pulled into the train yard from your drone. It sure looked like the same one :)

      Yes thanks! I believe it was😉
      The speed limit (on most) of that highway is 80, so arrived there and got up in the air pretty quickly.....likely capturing the exact same rig.

    Thanks for your patience and showing a complete story in each segment: beginning, middle, end. Really neat!

    Following the train into position with all the track changes and pin point accuracy at the end is fascinating - thank you.

    The logistics of crew and vehicle transport at the railyard is mind-numbing.

    Great catch, them moving precast road bed into the tunnel

    • @hardernl8893
      @hardernl8893 Před měsícem +5

      If they move one piece at a time, instead of loading multiple road beds on the tunneling-cars used previously, the end July tgt seems unattainable to me.

      Almost captured the entire process....needed a battery change... Arrived back, nothing was going on for quite some time -- flew over to the staging area for a bit and when I passed back over, they were already inside.
      Btw, just remembered those precast road beds were made at the Boring Co's facility when I was there a couple months ago:

      @@hardernl8893 Yeah, doesn't seem that efficient. The swinging around transporting them with the lifting jig can't be helping!? Even using a second telehandler with forks to bring in stacks [dropping it and going to get more] while this one carefully positions/places them [working back towards this entrance] seems like it would be better!? Maybe they are just getting the first couple in place so the positioning telehandler can work from / drive on top of the roadbed!? [The tunnel-cars aren't on-site anymore, are they?]

    Sure is odd that new Teslas have to be hauled so many miles to the railyard for shipment. FORD too has a 3600acre development underway near Memphis called BLUE OVAL CIty. One of the first things Ford did was reach an agreement with the local RR to build a railyard ON SITE for all the new Ford Evs they are going to build there. Wonder why Tesla did not do the same?
    !

    • @AirwaveDynamics
      @AirwaveDynamics  Před měsícem +1

      Good question- I've seen some reports that the railyard might have been the originally planned location for GT. If so, not sure exactly why it was changed. Maybe there's a grand plan for a complete underground transport system?
