I don’t know what’s worse - O’Connell’s vapid storytelling or Howie’s impatient, tone-deaf interviewing style.
Why won’t just the let man speak? It’s really frustrating to sit through and not he’s the answers Jerry is trying to give.

River Phoenix was by far the biggest star outside of Corey Feldman.
All of them were phenomenal performers in Stand By Me. One of my favorites as a kid.
River Phoenix became a star because of Stand by Me; Corey was much more famous prior to that movie. River had only done one movie and some TV; Corey had done four films, including Gremlins and Goonies.
@@gigi-ij1hkRiver Phoenix had more of a mature leading man role. Others were sidekicks. Will Wheaton was the true lead where the story revolves around but it seems like River took over and stole the show.

I don't know what Jerry's talking about re: only older kids watched Stand by Me. He and I are the same age (in fact I went to school with a friend of his) and I saw it in the theatre, twice. Other kids I knew saw it over and over. Maybe Jerry's classmates were just lame.
I watched it many times on VHS starting at 8 years old. "Stand By me" & "3 Men and a Baby" were always on replay at my house at the time.
He's a cpl years older than me but when this started showing on cable me and my friends absolutely loved it
