    • @PresbianTier
      @PresbianTier Před 6 lety +4

      Kason Strate cross country would help with building up mental strength for the 400m and also speed endurance. But that's only about 35% of the race as you have to focus on acceleration, velocity, starts, etc.

      Every Day Sports It’s all about mental willpower. You got to force yourself to stick with it and to fight it out in order to get the good times. Also running with a straight back and relaxing your arms will help minimize the amount of energy you use. Source: I run a 53s 400m in high school

      My best tip is to open up your stride and really try to drop your shoulders and relax and run calm the whole race. When you run the whole race relaxed you will improve you time a lot. For me the change to run relaxed dropped my PB by half a second

      Everyone’s missing the main point. Increase your natural sprint speed. Michael Johnson was always the fastest sprinter against his opponents. Once you increase your sprint speed, the rest will follow.
