    Just check their credits. They do everything from lighting, sets, and costumes. Geoff Castellucci and Tim Foust of Home Free are friends. They were on the Sing-Off together. Geoff does his own low-bass covers.

    I’m sure we can all agree that where Geoff really goes subwoofer and sure was on a couple songs but the one that sticks out the most is The Dragonborn comes Skyrim cover by Voiceplay. But ofc his solo stuff is what showcase his range and the one I will recommend is The Headless Horseman cover by Him.

    VoicePlay is awesome, and their creativity and quality are off the charts!
    What I love the most about Geoff is that, in his 5-octave range, he provides a smooth and full voice at every stage!!

    It's not actually just subwoofer shaking. He, Avi and Tim routinely blow them completely out at live events. Sometimes just for funsies, but sometime their sound, to their frustration, will just blow them out at awkward points and people have to either listen to now weirdly balanced music or wait until someone can swap one in. Knew someone who went to a concert Geoff was performing at and she said she was still vibrating a good hour later from being too close to the speakers.

    Welcome to the #TheaterKidsOfAcapella. Voiceplay is known for their costumes and acting as well as their singing. Geoff (pronounced Jeff) is the bass singer and has a 5 octave range. He also does low bass singer covers on his own channel. Subbing for more Voiceplay!

    Just FYI, Tim Faust of Home Free -- who is a friend of these guys -- says that Geoff Castallucci here has a bigger range and a deeper voice than he does. Geoff refuses to believe it, saying Tim's the deeper voice. Personally, I think they're satisfied never finding out.

    To highlight VoicePlay's ability to put their stamp on a song i would recommend checking out their cover of "In the Hall of the Mountain King". You Might not recognize the Title but im sure you know the melody. It has found its way into a lot of movies/TV over the years. It a fun song to listen to and the characters they portray are interesting.

    Tim Foust of Home Free and Geoff Castelluci of VoicePlay have identical ranges, actually... and Geoff hits the LOW, LOW, LOW notes more often than Tim Foust does. They both have their pluses and minuses to their voices. I love both, but feel Geoff of VoicePlay has a more versatile voice overall.

    You have started with two very theatrical and character driven pieces by them. With Hoist the Colours you will get more of a sense of their real voices. There is nothing by them that disappoints. They have done rock, country, pop, Disney, musicals and even a bit of opera. To really hear Geoff (the bass) you should check out his solo channel where he sings all parts and harmonises with himself. You will also notice different singers as they have lost a few and replaced them over the last few years and also use featured artists. Welcome to Voice Play...Enjoy ❤️

    On his own channel Way Down he gets to C1.

    Tim Foust (Home Free) and Geoff Castalucci (VoicePlay) actually have pretty much the same bass range. They just have different techniques for using those bass notes.
    For Halloween you should check out Geoff's solo page and see his covers of *The Headless Horseman* and *Monster Mash* and *Ghost Riders.*

    if you want to see one of there videos that defiantly took a ton of time to make.. you should look at there version of
    "this is Halloween" (also from nightmare before Christmas) there is no doubt they spent a ton of time making it.
    They also just released a new video. "hide and seek (ding dong)" cover.. again if you are looking for a group that loves Halloween you found it in Voiceplay they literally have a ton oh Halloween centered videos

    Geoff did an E1 which is 2 notes lower than Tim's G1 in brothers in arms. But they both can go to the 0 octave and are right there when it comes to low notes but Geoff uses subharmonics and tim uses growls so it depends on which u like more.

    a capella is correct; acapella isn't. a capella is Latin. The only other way to spell this is a cappella (which is the Italian version but most people use the Latin spelling since a capella came from the Gregorian chant, which were religious songs and sung in Latin). More than you wanted to know, I'm sure. But it's a capella.

    Tim Foust of Homefree is friends with Geoff Castellucci bass of Voiceplay and Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix Pentatonix. Tim helped coach Geoff & Avi to do subharmonics

    • @janetdw
      @janetdw Před rokem +2

      Geoff has credited David Larson as the one who taught him sub harmonics. He said in one interview that Tim taught him the growl technique but he rarely uses it. David has a video on how Tim and Avi use growl to hit their low notes. I can hear the difference (Tim’s control in Zombies vs Hillbillies is stellar) but no matter how many times David explains it, I can’t do it.
      All three can really hit the low notes but each has a different sound.

    • @Alasterius41
      @Alasterius41 Před rokem

      No. That's incorrect. Tim gave Geoff tips on doing growl not subharmonics. Geof can do subharmonics better; Tim uses growl more
