i think your unique value proposition should not be that you save people time to setup a regular tripod, because realistically, how long does it really take? Your unique value proposition should be that it enables filmmakers to capture dynamic shots, kindoff like a motorized vertical dolly.

I buy all their products. And I'm just a hobbyist. For a working professional, or let's say someone in the movie industry, this price is peanuts. They regularly buy camera lenses that cost $20,000 or more.

@@c.s.christopher5801 it's not cheap for anyone. I understand your point however and i agree. But Edelkrone has a serious marketing issue that reminds me a lot to what happened to KIA. They made the Stinger, and amazing GT Sedan for only $49,000. It was too expensive for people who wanted a lucury car but couldn't afford it, and it was ok for people who could afford it. The problem is, if you can afford a Mercedes SL or a BMW Series 5. You buy one of those, not a car that tries to be one of those. Why would you spend $2000 on an Edelkrone tripod when you can spend $2500 on something like a Mathews? Or even way more for an O'Connor. My point is i think Edelkrone has an identity problem, i have never seen or heard of someone using this amazing gear in a profesional enviroment. No profesional DP would give a shit about a self levelling tripod because they literally have assistants who take care of that. Edelkrone needs to lower their prices a little if they want to survive. Is such a cool company with amazing ideas but an awful identity.

After the gimbal when it was first introduced many years ago I think this is one thing I can definitely call as “innovation “ been in the situation and felt the pain and agony many time .

Looks very interesting, however I would need to almost “demo” something like this for at least 2 weeks, all they show is using it on Uber flat surfaces, out in the field shooting landscapes you don’t always have that luxury.

I will never buy edlekrone again. Expensive and easy to break. I bought their product which cost me 4k+. They advertised it as able to set their motion control with hand. After only 1 fking project. ONLY 1 PROJECT, less than a month!. The product failed and the gear inside the slider motor become lose and it become jittery or unable to slide even with barely 2-3% incline. Wtf
If I spend 4k+ im expecting it to atleast last 3 years not less than 1 month sigh

The timelapse looked pretty janky. How does it go with Realtime motion control? Didn't see any examples of that n the video. Would be a formidable setup if the tripod raising and jib/sider/pan tilt head could all be programmed to do repeatable moves.
It’s not designed to use the tripod adjustment as a movement unfortunately. It’s even indicated as such in the manual.

Looks ok.. kinda lost me showing the "late night advert type scenario in b&w" show a bloke struggling with current non motorized tripods.
It would need to have movement presets or "create movements" option to be even close to be successful
Let me know when it is £1000 or lower. Preferably below £500. The current price tag is unfortunately far too high for most to get creative with it and help innovate…
One more device you need to charge. 9kg. $2600 (or $3700?).
Battery lasts for weeks, which is even more easy to forget to charge it.

Agree, they definitely need incorporate marketing aspect into their strategy. I love the "any camera load" but wouldve been even better if they would offer 3-4 price points for different levels of professionals. Win win for everyone.

take notes, friends. You can see in the video that it's driven by a 12V GBA battery by Bosch. Consider that, before they come up with a way of selling you overpriced exclusive batteries.

First i see this in instagram can we make a collab if u have a phone gimbal for android to have sample unit for tech review
