    Stage: Main Stage
    Date: 6th August 2000

    Special: Sudoeste Festival ‘00
The Standing on the Shoulder of Giants Tour continues to have problems. This show at the Sudoeste Festival starts off pretty well. Liam’s voice sounds a bit more “on it” tonight than Benicàssim, and the band deliver a little bit better of a performance due to this. That is, a better performance until Roll With It. The atmosphere between the band and the audience has slowly started heating up since Liam stated Noel had the “right idea” to not be playing at the festival around Acquiesce. During Gas Panic, stuff starts getting thrown on stage (apparently plastic bottles) and Liam asks the crowd to stop after the song finishes. 10 seconds later, and one strike of a chord into Roll With It, a rock is hurled on stage, only narrowly missing Alan at the drum kit. The band pull the plug on the gig, and walk off stage, much to the applause of the audience.

Cracking upload lad. Been a while since I've listened to a gig, and this a good one to get back into Oasis after listening to Feeder for the past week.

Something definitely hit Liam during WFL it makes no sense why he starts to omit lines during it. Still, i commend him for going on and still putting a commendable performance after this. Apparently as well the Press couldn't stop taking photos with Flash (might be un-true), which probably led to a hostile atmosphere as it must have been a sensory overload and pretty distracting.

@@Shakermaker94Yeah the band were really back on form with the new lineup well & truly making a difference by HC & By 2005 DBTT the band were all back with a swagger and great music. As we’ve mentioned before this period was a really turbulent time for both brothers in there relationship with each other & there private lives & also with the changing dynamics of the new members Andy & Gem the band were very much at a stage of transition. ✌️👍✌️

Let’s be brutally honest as an Oasis nut this gig is pretty awful from the off & it gets worse every song they do until they walk off stage. It’s really weird how a week before or a month later there were some great shows that were truly amazing but when you listen to this it could essentially be a cover band performance from a band trying to find their feet in the industry still. Very poor vibe throughout this gig. I can’t imagine seeing Oasis & seeing a live performance so weak like this. I’d be absolutely shocked and gutted but also very grateful when I saw them on the 29th of July 2000 at Murrayfield Stadium Edinburgh Scotland the band were absolutely incredible with Noel back though I add, but it shows how different they could be from one week to the next depending on their mood or whatever they have been taking or whatever the atmosphere was between the brothers. ✌️👍✌️
