First of all, thank you so much for so detailed information for the beginners like me. I want to make a fairy house from a plastic bottle. Can I use a homemade air dry clay for that? Since it is prone to shrink after drying, I think it will get cracks. Is it correct? Then what is the best and inexpensive clay for this purpose? Thanks in advance.
Hallo dear if u wanna make fairy house, to cover the bottle use paper mache clay...for small figurines u can use cold Porcelain or Air dry Clay...u are rt it will shrink and clay will crack...

Which of these clays stays soft for a long time? In order to get more time to sculpt. I’m a beginner, so I used Shilpkar yesterday for the first time. I have no experience with clays. I started moulding it by following a drawing on the paper. It dried super soon. I couldn’t get time to make other things in the drawing. Since I’m a beginner, I need more time to make sure everything is perfect before I let it dry. Which clay would you suggest for this?

Very good information and examples. Only one point I'd like to say something about as I work in polymer clay. You can mix the colors to make new and original colors, gradients, blends, etc. Otherwise, spot on. :) Thank you. I didn't know about the different air dry clays.
Yes you can blend two different colour clays in case of polymer clay....but my point was you can not mix acrylic paints in clay to make colored clay like we do in cold porcelain....may be i am wrong, plz correct me if i am wrong as i dont really work much with polymer clay

You can use normal white glue likes Elmer's for both clays

No, its not waterproof
Let it dry naturally...with baking, it wont dry faster, it ll get cook insted and become fluffy

I'm new to the crafting scene. I was hit by someone texting and driving. I underwent multiple surgeries and have now been placed on permanent disability. I need to find something to fill all the empty time, along with trying to get my mind off the 24/7 pain.
I am trying to think ahead and prepare for projects that I'd like to try as well as get the supplies I'll need.
What I'm wanting to do is make homemade Kahlua for Christmas gifts. And I'd like to put it in a clay art bottle. I purchased a sun tea jug with the thought that it has a dispenser spigot...so the Kahlua will never make contact with the clay/paint/sealer...this should be ok, right? Or should I not and just put it in a plain bottle?
If you think this will be ok, is there a type of clay that you suggest over others? (Same question regarding paint and sealer)

If you want to make it at home then u can make it mixing ceramic powder and glue....i prefer using readymade, its convenient

I am a great fan of yours, i dont miss any of your videos. I want to make a wall hanging which is actually made of wood with holes n carving all aroung which is called akhi jhyal in nepal. I want to try it in cardboard. I will make the drawing, cut the designs n paste the clay with fevicol. Mam can you suggest me which type of home made clay will be best for the project as i think the cardboard will not be able to retain its shape after drying
You can make clay elements and stick it on cardboard, it wont bend....it will only bend if you layer the clay on it.
Hi, need your help. I tried the 2 pcs toilet with Chalk powder paper clay recipe given by you. However it has not turned out properly, it wrinkles up, becomes sticky when in use. Cannot smoothen it. I followed your recipe to the T... please help understand why?
