Im from Norway and my sister married an Irishman from Letterkenny. At the wedding I was blown away at how many people could swing a guitar and sing like angels as the night progressed.
@CToph23 I've enjoyed nights like this many times so it is like this. Not every pub as there are other tastes to cater for too. You just go to the bar that has the music sessions
Handsome lad, beautiful voice, wonderful musicians. I visited Ireland 4 times and have experienced the craic. Some of the happiest memories of my life.
There is a tradition of playing folk music in pubs in my home area of the north west of England. I’ve lived in Ireland for over 30 yrs and on a trip home to home town of Penrith about 15 yrs ago my brother told me of a new pub in the town that had a good reputation for cask ales (micro brewery onsite) and traditional music sessions. He told me that Tuesday night was traditional music night and we should go😮 we got in early, but within 30 mins the small side room, maybe 30 by 20 feet had 50-60 people shoe horned in. It turned out to be the most magical traditional session I have ever attended. There was multiple numbers of every instrument you could think of. I counted 7 bodhrán, 10 violins, 8 squeeze boxes, and so it went on. Out off all the people in the room there was only about 5 or six of us not playing an instrument, or singing. The music played ranged from traditional English folk all the way up to Irish rebel songs. It was without a doubt the most magical pub session of my long long life. What’s makes me particularly proud is that it was in my home town of Penrith in the North West of England😂
these traditions make me so proud to be irish. walking into a bar, getting the guiness on the go with mates and others, then playing afew songs. So proud.

Nothing like the spontaneity of a musical song along in an Irish pub! This brings back a very happy memory of my family with my daughter at an awards dinner in high school for Chorus class. The kids really enjoyed singing together and just a few minutes after getting seated they broke out with one of the songs from Grease called Summer Nights, and it gave me major goose bumps and a warm happy memory that will last for my forever!😊😊

If you came legally and are working and contributing to our society you’re welcome here bud. It’s illegals of military age coming in legions with their hands out, trashing hotels because the free food isn’t to their liking that we have a problem with. We’d have no homeless here if the government did for our own what they’ve done for illegals with no identification. Again if you contribute and want to get along with the rest of us you’re welcome.
