Bees like alpacas.
With wildflowers in their cuds
Their breath is honeyed.

When you have animals, they come first. Vacations must be
planned around them and you must cultivate a competent
caretaker for them for when you are gone. My partner did
not like it when I left her with all the horses and dogs to
spend the holidays with my folks. I took care of everyone
when she was gone, which was not all that often. Once
she had to leave fast when her mother died in Ohio and
drive up filling the crew cab truck with relatives on the way.
I held down the fort very well. Agisting, you can come and
go freely but that costs money and you miss out on so many
things that are so positive. Who would want to board out a
favorite dog or cat? I boarded out horses and they never
got close to me physically or emotionally. I gained much more
than I lost by being tied down.
Helena stayed home, and I do the same for her. We haven't traveled together since the alpacas became part of our lives.
I didn’t realize the alpacas were so selfish. I guess I assumed the herd would care for each other.

the big holidays in Spain? 4 July 2024
Easter, Labor Day, the saint of the village day, which varies according to the village and saint, National Day, Constitution Day, Christmas ... I am probably forgetting a few.
is new years day a big holiday in Spain? It has grown out
of all proportions here in the USA?
Not so much. I mean the tradition is to eat grapes -- for 12 seconds -- one per second as they count-down. We don't participate, and we didn't participate in New Years in the USA either.

Cossette tastes each dish;
Others eat after her.
Some don't eat at all
Without our intervention
With jars of pellets.
Pacas do not share.
Never enough to go round.
