    Great video, great editing! You are getting better each time.
    I'm going to get the upgrades too, although I haven't had any problems with the front original ones. I changed the rear ones before I even moved the car.

      Many thanks, tried some new cut methods on this one, feel it helps the flow a lot more, takes longer as im not used to doing them, but worth it i think. I also put the rear RPM hubs on as soon as i bought the car, and bought the front ones as soon as they came out, but didnt fit until i broke a stock front one, first noticed an issue when changing the C block but thought nothing of it, then 2 bashes later and the pins were hanging in the wheels, eveyone else i know then checked theirs and have the same issue

      Thanks. 20/50 Gearing now, still use stock motor, tires are strapped which mean less air control, but also less ballooning and tires ripping 😂 thought about putting bigger motor in, but then that means more weight, then needs more upgrades to deal with the weight, which means even more weight, then more breakages etc, end up chasing your tail around. Like with anything in life, if it's beyond your skillset, you're gonna break it. Nothing 1:1 can even get close to how durable our cars are, so I guess.. the parts only really break when they're stressed beyond reason

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  Před 2 lety +1

      This is very true, its amazing what an RC car can do these days, sadly though the RPM hubs failed due to the soft material they are made from, they didnt actually break in the sense of being bashed hardm they just flex to much so the pin then works itself loose, not to mention they didnt actually fit and had to be dremmeled to fit, the area dremmeled had no effect on the pins working loose.
      Love RPM parts but these were a big fail

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  Před rokem +2

      I live in the UK, shipping will cost a bucket load, they don't do free shipping on warranty stuff, so outside the USA the warranty is worthless as cheaper to buy a new part than the cost of the shipping. Don't think nut and bolts kits will work, the issue is the plastic just flexes too much for this application. Not knocking RPM as they do make some fantastic products, love the bumpers and the arms etc, its just this one doesnt work.

    • @smartmeis
      @smartmeis Před rokem +1

      @@HardcoreRC I’m sorry to hear that, that sucks and very unfortunate. I know traxxas stuff isn’t too bad, especially the HD parts I believe they are called. I think they are special for Xmaxx. I’m not an owner of an xmaxx, I’ve worked on a few, never the hubs though. So i don’t know too much about them. Or how it’s assembled. That’s terrible rpm failed, and the warranty isn’t worth it outside the u.s. I built my entire rustler with rpm and my arrma talion. I know there’s a company that makes aluminum parts, I think it’s called Hot racing, unsure if they sell xmaxx parts though.

      The new Traxxas hubs are actually very good and have the bigger bearing size as well.

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  Před 2 lety +1

      They also dont fit when you buy then. you have to shave them down to make them fit or your servo would burn out trying to turn the wheels. Really dont think there is anything that RPM can do about the issue though, its all due to how flexible the plastic is that RPM use, it flexes to much and as such the pin then pops out, it then tries to go back in but likely misses and starts to break down the plastic round the hole until it looks like it does on our video, know a number of people this has happened to. The good news is that Traxxas have finally released upgraded front and rear hubs
