My grandfather is a retired United States Army Colonel and was in Vietnam in the 173rd Airborne attached to the 16th Armor. He was stationed at Bien Hoa Airbase in southern Vietnam and was the commander of an M-56 Scorpion mobile Anti tank artillery fighting vehicle. He served two tours, and came back, just got back from visiting him actually. I am very proud to call him family.
“The jungle changed us. We enter in as men and we left as monsters. We could no longer see a Vietnamese village as just a village. We saw it as an enemy outpost. God help me.” -Unknown
