Cruising to Bimini is relatively new, and we'll show you the best way to visit the beach without booking a shore excursion, where to snorkel and find gorgeous sea shells. We visited Bimini on the Carnival Magic in September of 2021 and got the scoop on the cheapest way to visit the beach. We did the snorkeling with sharks excursion in September this year. It was a once in a lifetime experience. My children age 15 and 12 loved it

It doesnt. Have anything to get fun with..no shopping or stores to have good eat..if your going to do water business then its your place..nassau is more to be recommended..

Thank you! This was helpful. Our cruise out of Miami was changed from Key West/Cozumel to Princess Cays/Bimini so I'm back to square one and researching things to do there!
You should get a discount because you got robed on that deal princess cays is a private Islnd owned by the cruise lines its OK but nothing like cozumel and bimini doesn't have much to offer I would just stay on the ship by the pool and enjoy the piece and quiet while everyone gets off the ship

@@marycruz3135 seems like the cruise lines are trying to cut back on cost by saving fuel by cheating customers !! bimini is like going to ft Lauderdale !! because you can take a ferry boat from Ft Lauderdale to Bimini for the day
@@marycruz3135 That's what happened to us. We chose the cruise because of Grand Turk, then got changed to Bimini. We absolutely loved Bimini though, because we had planned to bring our own snorkel gear and just go in the water, which we were able to do there.

Nice! It's such a fun place. I will say that their prices have increased dramatically since we were last there. I think the golf carts are now $125 for 4 hours. We also found some additional fun things to do since I made this video. I have a blog that explains more. I'm revising it today with our latest adventures, one of which was finding a place for cheap beer and an quiet sea wall to sit and drink it :). I'm envious that you're going. I want to go back! This is the real Bimini.
I want to do this on my cruise, but not sure about the reliability of getting back to the boat. If the tram doesn’t come back are there taxis that regularly stop ? How far is it to walk back if no taxi shows up? Really appreciated the video, thanks so much for posting.
Hi Sue, sorry I'm just now seeing your comment. There are very regular taxis around. It's such a small area, with only one main road on the whole island, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Plus the trams do come relatively frequently...we just got tired of waiting.

No, you can take the free resort tram, even if you don't have a resort excursion booked. It only goes to the resort properties but you can just get off and walk or rent a golf cart from there.They also have more trams available now that they know how popular it is.
5:22 where is this location ? Southern tip, behind the down town shop mentioned after the taxi ride ?
Yes, we took the taxi to the beach behind the shops, then walked all the way to the tip where the fishing boats go out through the channel. If you're in a golf cart, you can just drive it all the way to the tip and park, but the walk along the beach was quite enjoyable and the taxi is only $5 versus $60 for the golf cart.

Which deal is better? Booking through the ship or on your own to Resorts World, beach/pool, 2 drinks and umbrella?
I'm really not sure. We only went south to Radio Beach and Alice Town.

We just spent one day in Bimini. But cruise itself was longer.
I think it is too bad that so many people are driving on Bimini. It is only 2 miles to Radio Beach from the cruise ship pier.
Yes, it's not far. The last time we went, we just walked back to the pier.

Can you take your own alcohol into binimi, drink in public, and can you also purchase bottled alcohol there to bring back to the States? Asking for a friend.
We bought some cheap beer (3 bottles for $10) at the store inside the "Big Game Club Resort & Marina, in Alice Town" Then we sat on the seawall at the memorial park just north of there. It was really nice. You can drink in public there, but I don't know the laws about bringing alcohol there or back.
They have liquor stores on the island beer is 10$ a six pack and no dui laws
If you did you own snorkeling and not part of an excursion, I assume that you brought your own snorkeling equipment?
Yes, we always bring our own equipment when we cruise.

CRUSING TO BIMINI IS NOT NEW LOL
The new port was completed in July 2021 welcoming it's first large cruise ship. That's the kind of cruising I'm referring to in this video. Of course before that, you could take a ferry, or smaller boats, or sail there...it's not like the island is new. :)
