And....let’s cut funding (pay) to US senators and representatives that don’t show up in person for session...or maybe those that sleep through every session...or those who are so incredibly bipartisan that they ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT find the middle ground to actually do the work that they were ELECTED to do for the good of their constituents, the working class! Thank you so much for pointing out how ignorant all of the plans are. ❤️❤️🧎🏻‍♀️🙏🏻 I am praying that they come to their senses.

For one reason or another (death, drugs, abandonment) the biological parents are not available any more. Teachers are constantly threatened and pressured to implement mandates; rules; “suggestions”; unthought out laws; individualize for every child; get EVERYONE to a proficient level; collect, evaluate, plan, revise and implement data on the school, self, students, and programs. They have little funding that comes along with this endless list, and often nothing is removed. Why you might ask, because we are charged with change way too much that was given little thought or input from the main shareholders - parents and teachers. We never truly give any program ( some very costly) a chance. Plus those who come up with these ever changing programs are making “bank!” Schools are kept in constant turmoil by politicians using our profession as a political platform to win votes. Seldom do they ask educators on the frontlines to participate in conversations about issues. They often don’t want to hear what we have to say. So Mr Brooks, kudos to you for being a voice for education.

No, now it's teachers MUST be in person with students whether there is a danger to the teacher or not. People say young people are less likely to suffer extreme symptoms, but teachers may be over 50 (I am), have an underlying condition (asthma), or have someone at home that could be at extreme risk. Thing is - we WANT to be back in the classroom, but it needs to be safe and responsibly executed.

Amen. Do you have any openings at your school? You seem to an administrator that is transparent with his staff and faculty and supportive with high expectations for everyone at the school. So if you have an opening just let me know.

You'd need the education to realise you should of studied to serve to mass public in such manner in the first place with everything you do. Politicians are needed every where. We need more people to help others think the same way.
