  • This is a video talking about Capacitors On Single Phase Motors. We cover there uses and the different variations. we also show some failed capacitors for reference purposes
we also cover the the visual inspection and testing with a multimeter
Capacitors On Single Phase Motors are the back bone of many appliances. used in millions of different domestic, industrial and commercial applications they have uses everywhere.
Capacitors shown in this video can be dangerous. they can hold and charge at mains voltage for quite a while and give quite a belt if your not careful. i always reconmend just shorting the terminals out to be on the safe side.
Tools used in this video a TIS E217 multimeter

There's nothing boring about capacitors Ryan - although that film still over the screen of your E217 bugs me every time I see it!

the problem i have is when you work on the same thing over and over again you lose your perception of what is interesting - The film on the TIS E217 still has a few weeks of life left in it.
