This is an addict's life to a T. I've been sober and off Heroin for 1 year and 2 months. Using is a nightmare, you're strung half the time and the rest of the time you're violently sick. Thank GOD and all of His love and MERCY! This testimony made me cry because I know exactly what it's like to live that life.

Oh I know, I'm retired from the Marine Corps (a few yrs in Lejeune too) and had to deal with a lot of these kind of guys. I agree with ya. Im not religious but if Jesus was his guiding light, then Im glad he found some form of help.
Jesus is not a guiding light, a good to have. He is the King of kings. He is the one who will judge all humanity for the acts they committed during their life.
We may reject Him now but we are all going to give an account to Him. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
@@africanindiaspo2895 Psalm 119:105 says "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light upon my path." John 1:1 tells "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Verse 14 says "and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us...".
This tells us that the Word is in fact, Jesus who is a lamp unto our feel and a light upon our path. You said to someone who says they are not religious that Jesus is not a guiding light. For that, you are WRONG.
Another thing, instead of talking about judgment and accounting to Him, why not preach His lovingkindness, mercy, compassion and salvation? You say NOTHING of that. turn
By the way, just a quick scan of these postings, why amongst the Christians posting here, is the quoting of Bible scripture almost non-existent? How would those who potentially would come to Christ know about Him if we cannot quote what the Word says as to the hope of Salvation?

We know this family well as we're from Jacksonville, NC. What a wonderful story...even though we do not personally know Michael, we do know his parents. Another testimony that proves God can change your life if you just let him into your heart!

God is great, God is powerful, Im only 13 and im starting to realize the true meaning of life, i understand that i have been sinning and im trying to go to church im praying every night and im starting to get the help i need to continue my life, say no to drugs and continue school. I hope that Mike is doing good right now, its a shame that he had to get kicked out of the corps for what he did, but i hope that he is living his life with love, happiness and peace good luck mike! Wonderful story very inspiring
if u have issues form ur childhood, trauma or other unmet needs u mostly do drugs to cope and try not to feel the pain. thats hwy its much harder i think for some people to get rid of drugs from their life. maybe u just did it cuz of peer pressure but had an ok or good childhood, or maybe ur personality has something to do w/ it

nearly 6 years ago i had an encounter w/ death. i was suicidal and asked God to please show me where i would go if i commited suicide...and He showed me. i woke up in the middle of the night and felt the life come out of me and i saw and heard hell for only a few seconds...theni came back and started breathing again...after that i never tried to commit suicide again....

i found God through my girlfriend, one day we went to church and she thought at first that i was crying because i found it funny but no, i felt this feeling and everything came out, i felt extremely happy and clean.. me and my gf are no longer together, she cheated on me..
He is very courageous to testify that way. His experience must have been so humiliating. I'm glad all went well for him eventually... that is the power of faith.
