Fast Boogie Woogie, Solo Piano : Andrew Elias - "Cold Hands Boogie"

- Movie recorded both before {practice} and during {performance} the Dutch Boogie Woogie Festival, Ermelo in March 2009.
Two slightly different versions of the same solo piano piece, each one shot from a different side so anyone who's perhaps interested can get a view of both the left and right hand parts.
This is a self composition {in so much as anything riff based like this can be?!}. The first movie clip clearly shows a very unusual fingering technique I use with the left hand, i.e. often I don't use my Little {5th} Finger when playing fast Boogie Woogie - I substitute the 4th and 3rd {together!} instead.
Watch closely at the 1.31, 2.34 and 2.55 minute timings for some quite adept finger 'switching' - I call it moving in and out of my special Boogie Woogie Turbo-Drive Mode, lol! {as there seems no doubt to me that playing without the little finger I can generate a more powerful rhythm and sound}. - Hudba

Andrew Elias: We kind of played a duet at Julian’s house in 2017. You have the fastest left hand including Henri. I think you told me you are left handed. Makes sense. Speed. Precision. Right hand is pretty speedy as well. Sounds great.

@dakotaridge You list this on your channel as your favorite. Here`s my take on it.
He plays the easiest left hand pattern ( fast or not does not matter ) , when he makes it a little more complex he stops using his right hand for a few choruses. That`s funny. His right hand ,if isolated ,would sound like a third grader piano exercise. He`s nowhere near the level of Johan Blohm, Teemac ( Red Peach Boogie ) or many others.

excellent left hand but the right hand is poor in harmony and swing, to me.

and why not? its there so you can use it. I know it's essential for every pianist to learn to play without it so that they don't depend on it. I have had some hard times not using it. But since it exists, it isn't supposed to be there and sit around gathering dirt.
Just to confirm I do not use the Sustain Pedal at any time when playing this piece. What you hear is probably just the sound of those wonderful Yahama Strings 'resonating'?!
