I have only played fire and myth (and a little death) and I agree with both of those placements. Fire makes early and mid game stupid easy and myth is probably the worst for early game and mid game isn’t that good either. Late games pretty nice tho
I'd argue that death is better at that. They can feint, univ trap, dark pact, still learn the triple blades & traps, can juju & (virulent) plague, suppress eneny heals and with a life mastery, pigsie and jade/heal equipment are (sadly) far superior to life.
Honestly I absolutely love this list. And dude the thing you said about Balance solo questing I can relate to this on a spiritual level :( but then again I may have struggles solo questing on life to.
My first and highest level wizard is Balance and I have to agree, solo questing is a pain without having someone's help, having a balance as a support in a team is nice but having a life is twice better. In PVP they can be really good but that's it. Right now I'm choosing who to have as my second wizard.
Anything Spirit This is gonna sound crazy but I think any of the Spirit schools are good schools to start with, and then an elemental school is best for the experienced player.
@@CDubz I know, I made a balance first cause I really liked the style of the spells and stuff, but now I have some $50 to burn so might as well buy a level 50 elixir for someone. Might go with fire.
Anything Spirit Personally I would wait for the elixir to go on sale or just save the $50. You can take a wizard to 50 in a week with just membership. Save the crowns for House of Scales, Waterworks, and maybe some packs for good gear to continue your questing. Or, if you want, I recommend Legendary PvP.
As someone who has ALL schools max and soloed majority. Using a Life mastery from levels 10-90 ranks them one up, since the flaw for most is the inability to heal. This is for SOLOING ONLY. If we were going by teams, Balance and Storm are near the top. S: Death A: Life/Ice B: Myth/Fire C: Storm D: Balance
@@ahdafnaik1333 Balance can't blade properly. All they have is Balance Blade and Bladestorm. They can purchase Balance Blade TC from Harold in the Commons but they cost 2k gold, unlike every other school's who costs 1k. They also cannot purchase Bladestorm tc anywhere. This means they can only blade 3 times (until sharpened). Every other school can get their school blade, school blade tc, balance tri blade, and balance tri blade tc. Many of their hits are triple hits so trapping is tedious. This leads them to having to Judge which is bad against balances. They struggle significantly against storm bosses. If you're Ice or Death, you can elm/spirit blade to protect against levy or sirens. Every other school would lose 1 blade. Balance has no way of protecting their blades. They will always lose 2. Even Gaze sucks with bosses since it's a double hit and can't be properly feinted. Overall, Balance is damn hard. It is for experienced players only. It is my 3rd favorite school in the game and I thoroughly enjoy Balance soloing for the challenge but it is not easy.
Dang...fire being worse than ice...and being EQUAL to myth? I have to disagree... I also think myth should be in c tier and fire in a or s. Edit: nvm myth in a-b and fire in a-s
Death is so great in the end game but the original arc it would've been a slog to play as. The update made it even better Fire is A or S imo you get a really balanced mix of aae, damage over time, straight up damage it's the most versatile imo Also the minions Myth get are very shit in pve. Post update my ranks would be S: Fire and Death A: Storm B: Life and Myth C: Balance and Ice I don't believe there's actually a D tier school the game is balanced enough that I believe every school is at least viable
But life is behind because they don’t get their first aoe until lvl 58 which puts them at a very big disadvantage when it comes to hitting because they have to rely on centaur for a long time
Why I Vouch For Balance (even after soloing the game on nearly every school [not yet ice]), and i'll do it by your list 1. Doesnt Have A Prism You see, this is a good point, if it didn't only effect 1/3 of the gameplay balance goes through. Until level 26 balance is a chore to play with, since fighting balance bosses is hard, but just for reference, i've just run through the game again and can't remember above 10 balance bosses you deal with until 26, where you get spectral blast, either there wasn't many or they weren't relevant enough to ward a problem. Now Spectral Blast is not good to any extent, but it works early game since by level 26 you also get feint, which does deal with most of the issues you may come across. By the time you hit level 42 this problem only happens frequently with cheating balance bosses or Belloq specifically. Playing balance through as my most recent max, I have geared up to the point where this is irrelevant for me besides having to modify my deck a tad bit for the battles, and I still find it very simple if you know what you're doing. 2. Only Balance Blades Fantastic point, because I can finally explain the fact that balance only has one shield that directly opposes it, and that is Tower Shield. Every other school has a 30, 35, 50, 55, 70, 70, 75, 75, 80 all stackable. Only the 4 lowest affect Balance, which to be honest you will not see stacked on many enemies, and if so, that is still an issue for other schools. Again to the point that you have to know what you're doing, by level 30 on my balance not only did I have far more than one blade, but Feint is a thing. A pet with a bladestorm and blade from another character as well as having a balanceblade, dragonblade, bladestorm, hex, and feint is enough to kill anything needed (25, 30, 20, 30, 70). Chimera, Hydra and Spectral Blast are all very effective spells which again the earliest being only at 26. 3. Only Decent Spells Are Later Again, Spectral Blast, 26. 4. Only PvP Although they are good for PvP, that's not the only use they have. I find myself being called constantly to help with exalted just because I can be anything, I can be a focused healer, blader, trapper, and knock out the minions with relative ease. Even after playing 5 other schools I still find balance to be the most enjoyable for PvE. I think what most people ignore is the skill cap required to play balance. It takes hella patience and hella focus to commit to and play correctly. 5. Don't Recommend as First Wizard Agreed 100%, never play balance as your first wizard due to the fact that the skill ceiling is much higher, and i'm not saying that to boast 'oh im better', in fact the opposite. I thought balance was weak for AGES, yet i've found it to be better the more I play it, they have one of the largest spell pools i've ever had to deal with along with them having so many shields to block and decent heals to boot (once you get them that is). I think it's a common misconception that balance is the worst because they are not good at one thing, yet they are not horrid at another, they are BALANCED, perfectly in-between. They can't be compared to any other schools cause they can always do one thing better and one thing worse. Balance overall just takes persistance and focus, and the only reason I went off is I kept hearing this on my stream recently and wanted to set my point straight. I dont think balance is D, I think it is high C low B at minimum, the other schools I can't vouch as much for as I can balance, but this is my personal opinion, the list otherwise is solid in my perception.
Jacob Paver I’m glad you actually discussed your opinion about balance. Albeit, there is some good for the school of Balance. Me personally, I don’t find it to be a good beginner school. And again, my perspective is more universal: meaning I gotta look at it from both an experienced and a newbie’s eyes. All schools have the potential to be good schools. Balance certainly has it, but it doesn’t seem to shine anywhere except in the world of PvP imo. Thanks for the awesome comment!
@@CDubz okay that's fair, i just wanted to give some opinions on a seasoned wiz perspective of loving balance, and I agree 100% that it is not a beginner school, my freind tried it as their first school and hated it, which is fine by my standards, I think if each school had a difficulty rating scale, balance would just be higher due to needing to know the basis of the game before trying it, I just was upset, but thanks for the constructed response
I'm a balance dude, my first wizard was balance cuz I was young lol. I thought I was so bad because I wasn't good at questing. I've gotten used to it now, I personally find it hard to quest solo still, but I've gotten way better at it now.
I think the main thing about balence is how they are terrible until they get sand storm and spectral blast (sandstorm doesnt age that well). I love balance, I want to try another school but the low level gameplay bores me. I like balence so much beause....its balanced (sometimes). Low level they are bad for quite some time, I can hit as hard as any other school but it takes longer to set up. I have a high in/out heal stat and with a may cast heal pet health isnt an issue. The balance vs other school spells is good in almost any circumstance besides fighting a balence boss with other school adds. Balence isn't top teir In most circumstances but you dont have to worry about hitting a target hard and fast like storm. Dont have to have long battles like life ect. To me the down sides of balence is much more bearable than other schools I'm intrested in.
Early on I found balance to be much better for PvE than storm up to dragonspyre, but then you're a boss in PvP at that point so I find it better than storm. After Grizzleheim and Wintertusk it also has good efficient healing over time spells, which means I can be a good healer if need be. While you can't stack blades as easily, you also don't need to worry about shields as much.
Myth is incredibly OP at 60 and below. Plus they’re hardly weaker than fire. Once you master strategy myth is easily A or even S. I’ve noticed so many myth warlords in pvp now and it never used to be that way
@@starnoelle8248 I'd also add fire minion is incredibly op. I'd say best is clockwork minion but fire comes close second. They will put on so many dots breaking shields for you to blade up, smoke screen is just great, and traps because why not. A fire minion makes going second just as easy as going first.
Yea I disagree. Myth or death in my opinion are the hardest for early game. Myth in the early game is just plain below average. Myth does destroy late game and I think myth and storm should switch places. Let me state my early game as only wizard city so yeah myth is really good
balance i would say is weak in the beginning but its the only hybrid (heal an attack) school plus its one of the best schools for pvp. its both a great support and attacker, so i would put it at A or S
I actually really enjoyed this tier list but there are some thing I can agree with and some things I can’t. Starting with Life: 1.) I never really had a Life Wizard past level 50 so I can’t really tell what it’s like past that, so I’ll only speak based on what I’ve seen and experienced. I remember feeling discouraged for having a Life Wizard because of the need for having more then 1 good pet. If you want to play as a support Life Wizard that heals and walls hits, you’ll need a pet trained with good talents for outgoing heals and warding. And if you wanted to also be a damage dealing Life, you would also need to build a secondary pet for that purpose. Considering the hassle that is pet training to get pets with perfect talents, the fact that I had to train more then one was daunting. I realize that you don’t need a perfect pet to be a good support and damage dealing Life, but I prefer to have everything perfect and to my liking to be the best support I can be. Also, considering that jade gear is found in packs bought by using real money (crowns), it further discouraged me from continuing on my Life Wizard. In the end, I ended up giving up and deleting my Life for that reason. I like playing support but when I can’t be perfect at it, and it takes a ton of work just to be support it bothers me. 2.) With Storm I agreed with almost everything except the parts with the end game for Storm. I don’t exactly have a max level Storm but he is on his way soon. Based on seeing other Storm players, Storm is always ideal as the sheer amount of damage they put out can almost overshadow anything else. Storm is heavily favored in terms of PVE and easily decimate every boss in the late game with a few blades, feints, and prisms. Granted the battles that were designed to be longer fights can be tough, but by endgame most players already know what skill their school fits into. Having a Life to heal and ward-off hits, and someone to blade the Storm makes battles run smoothly. Even though they aren’t good for PVP, most people play Wizard for PVE so they never have to worry about doing PVP, and to boot Storm gear may not give enough health but a Storm’s resistance from late game gear is almost unfair to other schools since Storm is a school made to be kind of like glass cannons. If they can have good damage and enough resistance to match that of a Fire or Myth then it overshadows these other schools. 3.) Death is probably one of the most versatile schools if not, maybe even better then Life. Death wizards can be amazing hitters, tanks, healers, and provide utility support. The good thing about Death is you can choose to build your Death to be a good hitter or support. You can choose to train two pets for support or stick to one for damage/critical/resistance. They can jade, and can use their sacrifice spells to heal other team mates. If they use Life mastery they can use tc Rebirth and Pigsie and heal for just as much as a Life Wizard can. Not only can they solo easily since they deal damage while healing themselves back, but the access to weakening spells can weaken enemies who are waiting to unleash powerful Storm/Fire spells. Considering all this, plus the fact that their accuracy is the second best in the game, and their trap spells are the most used in the game, I’m shocked it wasn’t at least A-tier. 4.) Myth is probably my second favorite school and the most useful school in certain situations. Not only can they be fantastic hitters on par with Fire, but have better resistances then Fire, more health then Fire, and get utility spells useful in both PVP and PVE. If anything Myth feels more “balanced” then Balance. The spells like Minotaur, Orthrus, and King Art (Myth), can be super useful when fighting bosses that like to shield before a big hit, since the first hit from those spells is meant to be be a fake-out before the real power-punch. They get aoe early, receive stuns early (great for PVP and PVE in some cases), and get access to Earthquake which removes all blades/wards that can come in handy for bosses setting up late game, or an opponent in PVP. I’ve got a max level Myth and all I can say is that having one with a perfect balance of damage, resistance, and critical as well as the potential to be annoying to enemies makes Myth probably one of the most satisfying classes to use. It’s super underrated. 5.) I agree with basically everything with what you said about Fire, though in my eyes I always see Fire in competition with Myth. I have a max level Fire and sometimes I struggle to notice much of a difference between my Fire and Myth. At the end, it’s always up to player preference. 6.) Ice is a little weird since for me Ice seems to be the weakest in damage but amazing for tanks. I understand PVP can be good but Ice is rated a little too high, since you really have to grind out and perfect your Ice Wizard to the maximum for them to be extremely powerful when Fire and Storm don’t really have to try much. Ice in the endgame is fine since the spells they get towards the end make them become easier to play as, and the gear gets much better. But, the grind to it is the real challenge. Fire and Storm get increasingly more powerful as they level through the worlds after obtaining Waterworks gear. However, Ice feels more like the improvements are very minor as they progress through each world. It’s only until they reach Darkmoor when things snowball for them, but early game Ice is a struggle especially when soloing. Without enough damage to take your bosses down swiftly, your resistance and extreme health can easily be taken down. Considering most new players start with Ice and don’t have a good pet that provides them with good damage, I could only imagine how difficult it is. I would know, having an Ice Wizard about to reach Darkmoor. 7.) Lastly, Balance as sad as it makes me is not very good. Everything you said I experienced first-hand when playing as a Balance as my first Wizard. I only ever chose to play Balance simply because I enjoyed using the Ra spell. But after seeing how difficult Balance is to play in PVE, I’m surprised I managed to max one out. Granted, Balance isn’t all bad but it suffers when soloing and it’s meant to be a class played for someone who has already experienced the other schools. Unfortunately, I was the unlucky one the begin with Balance and learn the hard-way how much of a challenge Balance is. But, I don’t regret it as I learned a bunch from the game through the experience, and used it to my advantage with the wizards I would later make. All in all though, this was a great video, but like I said before, I believe some schools in this list are either underrated or overrated.
My list cuz I’m too lazy to make a video, SORRY IN ADVANCE for this too long and excessive explanation: S:DEATH (the game is a breeze to max can support and solo easy and can be a decent hitter, good gear is easy to get tho honestly don’t need it when you can heal yourself while hitting) A: FIRE(good damage, consistent, easy to get great gear) STORM( perfect for farming, easy to get perfect gear, high damage and critical but dies easy and fizzled until higher levels) B: LIFE (decent attack higher up, great support hard at the start without aoe good gear higher up is hard to get) ICE (can support decent and can attack decent, all arks are easy but feel slower, good gear is easy to get, decently easy solo) C: BALANCE ( very had time solo ark two, everyone likes a balance supporter, gear easy enough to get besides max critical gear, can maneuver around any school) side note only two or three bosses have balance resist usually balance bosses or enemies have elemental or spirit resist D: MYTH (can’t support, no one will support you if there is a fire or storm, minions useless, all stats mediocre, good gear is easy to get at least and all arks are easy. I found myself pretty useless at times in a team maxing my myth, and when I was hammer I felt as though it underperformed at a hitting school)
When a balance solos a balance boss all they do is use spells like spectral, chimera, nested fury etc.. when they quest with people they constantly support and stack them with blades and traps, they can also heal with availing hands. And in pvp they completely dominate the other schools most of the time. So I’d say they’re in s tier
Nick Martinez as a balance wizard I can’t remember the last time I used any of those spells. It’s hard to build damage with all the types of magic ur using in those spells so what most do is build pierce, but overall we are great with team play but soloing is a pain in the ass
While I do agree that balance dominates in PvP, they are slow and weak in soloing. Death can practically outclass balance in almost every way in PvE. They have sacrifice, dark pact, plague, feint, curse, juju. Plus, they have prisms and their drain spells makes it so that they don't rely on healing spells and are able to go through armour. Balance wizards do have elemental and spirit attacks, but you don't get much damage boost from your gear. So you have to get a lot of pierce on your gear. What balance has over death is simply the ability to heal teammates without sacrificing your blade setup, in which death wizards should just assume a support role, and supernova, which is very situational and might not be useful in PvE anyways.
I'm getting back into Wizards101 cause damn, the nostalgia and it looks like they changed the game a lot but not to where it's at all bad I think it may be better or just as good as 5 years ago which makes me really happy. Fire Master Class!!!
Balance is in my top 3 of schools, but it's as Arthur Weathersby said: "Balance is a little hard to get into, but it can be rewarding." Balance School is like the Normal type in Pokemon: Jack of all trades, master of none. It's sad that the Balance school has no means to reverse damage on Balance-type enemies. Luckily, there aren't many early on.
With all this gear that you can get to boost your heal outgoing(plus pets built for healing)the life school in terms of healing can be pretty obsolete. Just get the spooky carnival robe with jade boots, hat, a high leveled athame and ring for heal outgoing, and slap on any kind of life mastery amulet and you're probably healing better than many life wizards, and if you're death the spooky carnival robe helps you even more. Kingsisle is making all these schools the same pretty much as levels increase unfortunately.
Yeah, I have high in/out healing on my balence with pet that can cast several may cast healing spells. Ever since I acquired supernova and ra I've been doing better than my sister who is a storm wizard. They should give you supernova earlier with maybe a little less damage, you dont have the spell for long before you get ra and supernova helped my balence wiz go from struggling to decent. Ra w/ pet is top tier at level 70.
s: ice (later in game their damage is great and they are the ultimate tanks) and life (i have an almost max life and this was probably the most fun for me to solo, having feint and the kookaburra pet helps SO much until getting forest lord) a: storm (at later levels, you don't even have to worry about less health bc you can just one shot in fights easily) b: death c: myth and fire (i've found soloing on fire pretty difficult. to me it only improves at higher levels) d: balance (balance is definitely one of my favorite schools. i love supporting. but they suck at soloing. just went straight to the point.)
@Sopwith Camel fire is REALLY strong tho... I beat malistaire with a lvl 21 fire with a few treasures here and there because my deck wasn’t big enough... I think that’s pretty strong
PvE 4v4 rankings S: Storm/Life-you need damage and you heals. A: Balance-A good balance can stack blades and make a fight end very quickly B: Ice: A good tank, secondary healer, and can blade and shield C: Death- Not bad. Really good if the boss needs bad juju spamming Fire: The majority of the time, they live in storm’s shadow. If you don’t have a storm, the are the next best hitter option D E F: Myth- I have never come out of a battle admiring how helpful the myth wizard was. Avoid at all costs.
Myth was my first school when I started playing again. I enjoy it except for its low hitting spells. Its a B for me because menotaur has saved me so many times in PVE. I would change Death to A just because of its damage to heal. I would keep ice and balance where it is. That's all I can comment on because I have all of those, except balance because I didn't like it
Was heart broken to hear that balance is the lowest. mostly because it’s my only school since coming back after the game released and it was what I left off on. I’m level 44 now and it took me so long that I don’t want to re-roll. Since I don’t have any experience with other schools, I honesty don’t mind balance. It takes a little longer to kill in pve, but I’m going Storm as a secondary after I already put talent points into ice to TS.
Balance is the best school and it was my first school, in my opinion balance is as the name says, they can basically do anything in pve and pvp, attack, support, heal and tank hits, my opinion its the best school😌💙
Honestly, I almost agreed with your tier list since I have 6 wizard (except balance) at level 120 or above and agree with your points. However death should honestly be an A tier cause they can somewhat decently solo quest at the start-mid of the worlds but once they get khrulhu, they easily might as well be the BEST solo questing school to use.
Also I'm going to be creating a balance wizard soon (since they released additional character elixer) and I can already see the struggle I'm going to face soon lol.(Currently training up a good balance pet)
The Death School is horrendously overpowered in PvE once they get Call of Khrulhu, on my storm and fire most bosses in Arc 3 were really difficult especially the cheating ones and I needed someone to help me through it but on my death I EASILY handled them.
I tried not to take this as you trashing my first school, but my heart man. Definitely going fire, life, or storm my second time round. I suppose it was good that I suffered as a solo balance when I was 10. The developers need to save this game and give the players what they want.
Life Wizard here and i would just like to say that other schools are good at damage and etc but without life school itll be hard later on without a life wizard in your team.
I think balance is better than you give it credit for, balance can solo and balance bosses aren't much of a problem because balances have spectrum blast and other spell that hit other schools, I soloed a lot of the game with little trouble although balance will not one shot bosses like storm and fire we can solo just fine, although I feel that balance is neglected by kingsisle, but, I think balance should be s or a tier because of the flexibility. balance is good at almost everything but not the best I think balance would be unbeatable if we got more single hits from other schools like spectrum blast and nested because then balance could be able to use the blades better I think that's the only downfall in balance is the multiple hitting spells like gaze Hydra and Chimera if those was more of single hits, balance would be the best
>Be Storm >Learn Death up to Dracula >Learn Life up to Life Shield >Do all the sidequests No need for a team just solo it my guy. Just finished Big Ben solo with the secret boss too, piece of cake.
If im being honest, the myth school's minions have alot of potential. If we could choose what spells the minions can cast, it would definitely help with soloing.
Thank you for the list, one of the best videos on school rankings I’ve seen, I don’t do PvP so now I know what what school I don’t want to use up a character slot for👀no shade tho
Ngl, this list made me pretty happy. I can finally brag to my friend (a death main) about how my school (life) is better!! one thing though, i'm not sure how much i agree with fire in s tier, and balance in d tier. I strongly believe fire is b, and balance is c. edit: fire has almost no form of healing itself, making it super vulnerable without a life on it's team, and balance has some of the best supporting in the game, with feints, sharpens, tons of stuff
Im learning how to play, im lvl 17, i am ice main fire secondary, im glad im hearing that my classes do well later on aswell, i also learned alot on other schools, ty good vid
I'm just going flat out say that i have bias for Ice. It was my very fist school I played back in 2009. It's A top three school, takes more skill in strategy then other schools to be competent, it really isn't a good school for newcomers, it can mimic the damage output of the Fire school if you know what you're doing. Has the greatest resistances and defenses, Is the most versitle school and is a nightmare to fight against in pvp. In my opinion It's the best school. It starts out like a Sherman tank with Panzer armor in ww2, then ends up like the Tiger tank in late game. My secondary school was Death because I liked the life sapping and damage at the same time, but you could pair it with Life Balance, Storm, any school.. All the schools are great in their own regards but this is just how i feel.
My computer broke so I can’t play anymore but I use to be a death main I would put it at least a A tier because I completed the whole story on it with no struggle just besides that it all accurately correct nice video I’ll sub
The thing you said about balance is so right i remember a time in dragonspyre when i did a dungeon with a noob balance guy he tried to troll by leaving the dungeon before the last boss but it was easier to beat it without him...
Dispite the fact in Epirea that fire hits even more than storm with overtime rain of fire and traps burning rampage even after nerf is still op,I mean its a spell that gives you the win in pvp.The end
At least myth isn't D tier :) In all seriousness though if this were based on first arc, Myth would easily be higher tier. However, as the game updated past celestia (medusa was the only good spell in 2nd arc imo) myth only gets worse and worse. It is slowly making a comeback in 3rd arc, but the damage is still done. That being said, Myth is amazing at taking down the Storm Titan, and overall, skilled conjurers who know a thing or two about spells can still do very well and prove this ranking underrated. The issue is, conjurers are rare, and amazing ones are rarer. C tier is fair at this moment.
I think balance is pretty good though... plus judge is SO GOOD for pve bosses early on like jade oni etc, plus you get sandstorm so easily, plus ra later. I think it’s good but that’s just me, I don’t even play it 😂
in my opinion life deserves C because it only can heal storm deserves a B because it hits hard but it fizzles alot death A because they can hit for alot and you are wrong when you say that it dosent hits good and because it heals it self
I have some problems with your list. (p.s. do not be butt hurt about my list. It is an OPINION. If you don't know what OPINION means, then search it up :)) Ice for instance is d rank for sure. They aren't really usuable unless only for tank. Sure, pvp they good but hoenstly, for questing, they are awful. They have so low damage, and are only good for tank unless you get the good gear at level 100 (still pretty bad though. Will only want them on my team if they are tank). I would flip fire and storm around. (Probably bias here since storm is my favorite school). Yes, storm has low health. But if you hit fast, you kill fast. That's the point of storm and why it should be very top. I do agree with life, and a little about myth, but i do believe balance should be with myth. It's not that bad of a school and they do help blade hitters. As long as they aren't trying to attack that is. Balance can be good at pvp, if the right person does it. Although myth may be able to actually be B rank as they can easily solo. I solo on my myth a lot. Killed easily. It can go both ways depending on the person. Now death. I think death should be with the fire at A rank. They have pretty good hits and honestly, I seen a lot of them do better then fire in darkmoor. But all this is my opinion. I don't really care for ice school, as you could probably tell, but i think it' s a good tank school. Just not as necessary as life and balance.
Wolfie I feel like the ranking system is a lot of personal experience, but if I had to change stuff around I would definitely be optimistic to your list
U don't seem to like ice school but it is useful when u are trying to keep a dungeon alive or jading with ice makes us useful and questing makes it harder at first due to the lack of damage and ice blade but in the higher levels we are in a class of our own it is not no where in D I think its S but if u said A that is fine too
Now that I had more experience with each school as I figured hey try them all out out of boredom lol I change up my list a bit. S - Storm and Death A - Fire B - Ice and Life - I know I use to hate ice but I now find it helpful in battles. I'm pretty good at damage and the tanking is prob one of the best since ice has a lot of health so they can take most damage and they can help blade elemental schools and possibly heal too. C - Myth D - Balance - LOL this one I'm at level 18 with and I am severly annoyed with this school. Mainly because I hate fighting balance with my balance. They really should put a prism lol
My myth, level 130. Was my first ever wizard that I actually carried past level 3 😂 in my opinion I think myth is a good school maybe like a b level. They can be very strong when bladed up, they are good for spam as well. The only time I’ve ever used a minion was if my wand casted it. If I was ever in a 4 person battle I’d either be spam, hitter or the one who only kills minions.
Yeah but life for instance would be a stronger option due to insane heals and also being able to get good buff spells for any class, treasure card or not
oof balance was my first school. i know its a struggle but idk i personally like it so far? not debating that its a struggle but its cool. rn i have a baby death and i set him up with a mega pet. questing on him is sooo much easier.
I did the final dragonspry dungeon and beat malistaire(might’ve spelt that wrong) with a lvl 21 fire and bonus cards that I only used when I ran out of cardsXD Fire is gud
Lol my main char is a balance so I can tell you for a fact they are an off tank support class with heals, shielding and is blades also enough dmg to kill of the minions. So yes solo they suck but with one other person like fire or storm then they can duo end game content.
Life has more damage than Ice tho😐 Edit:based on my experience of having a max ice and a max life trying to make a hitting set im able to get more damage on my life than Ice if I go full damage
Death works well if you know how to use the spells you get a spell that converts death attacks to life attacks great if fighting a death npc and you are a death wizard.
Life is not meant to be the healer. They also do damage. There good at everything they can tank they can heal they can do damage. With high stats, life bubble, and crti GS does 5000 heal. OP school. But I think the most fun school is storm because of their chance based spells and high damage and low health.
I have heartbreaking news. If you struggled as balance you're just bad. I played with balance up to azteca and yes it was bad but nowhere near how you said it and guys - i was shit at the game at that point and yes i soloed
Sorry, but storm should be at that bottom. All they are is a glass cannon. Always the first to die, can't solo the game, and last but not least, until higher levels (darkmoor)most do nothing but fizzle! Bye bye storm.
Joseph Demando I understand where you’re coming from, but as a person who mostly solo quested their storm up to Iron Sultan, storm is a really easy school to quest on once you reach magus. If you’re fizzling at the magus level, you have the wrong setup. I stopped questing my balance once he got to legendary because it’s awful trying to solo quest on a balance.
haha you are funny! I solo on my storm and lived countless times. Even fought too bosses on my own and won! You are obviously just not good at storm :)
@@wolfie8227 one i don't have a storm character (so ha ha ha). Been playing the game for years so don't come at me with silliness. Storm is not ment to solo, and big deal you solo a few bosses. Storm is nothing but a glass cannon. You so good on your storm solo Morganthe. Give us all a good laugh 😂😂😂😂
@@josephdemando5886 Search about a storm guy soloing morganthe. :) I love how you are so clueless to that. Anyone can solo. Just some good at it then others. I solo whole entire worlds on my storm. Don't be salty.
I'm a max death and I'm not supporting ☠😂 i think death personally is the best overall since they can hit and they can heal, it's hard to kill them 🤷♂️
Bro death should be s tier they are tankable when it comes to soloing I’ve soloed drum jungle and elephograveyard on my death I’ve even soloed some bosses on my other characters but death is far easier
Yes, but death struggles in pvp and is not good against end game bosses. Like he said death is meant to suppress the enemy, but when you get bosses who punish you for using feints, global spells, and damage reduction spells, death ends up falling behind life, storm, fire and ice. Don't get me wrong death is a good school but suffers in the end game and even in the early game as they don't get an AOE spell till level 48.
Finally an accurate list
Are u high
Doomguy no u are
I have only played fire and myth (and a little death) and I agree with both of those placements.
Fire makes early and mid game stupid easy and myth is probably the worst for early game and mid game isn’t that good either. Late games pretty nice tho
I came back after a decade, death B tier? Why not A?
@Randomz death is really good for using as a solo, definitely the best one...
Don’t know anything about it other than that tho
*Me, who has never been beyond Wizard City because I don't want to pay*

I got balance after doing the test and I thought I was special
-oh ur special alright- Good for you ♥️

@@Joji_14 death is not that good bro. In a meta on one shots, death is not the best
Balance is the best support school besides maybe life if you train feint sharpen blade and that sharpen trap spell no cap
hulaking Plays Fair 👀
I'd argue that death is better at that. They can feint, univ trap, dark pact, still learn the triple blades & traps, can juju & (virulent) plague, suppress eneny heals and with a life mastery, pigsie and jade/heal equipment are (sadly) far superior to life.

@@easygoing1719 the attack deaths are crying in the corner rn
@@CDubz no worries I ain't dying by spending $50, I just have money laying around so. I'm stuck between going with fire, ice or life.
I didn’t play since max lvl 50 and I have a life now at 106 and a lvl 50 balance this scares me sucks knowing I’ll have to have help consistently
Fire was my first school when I was like 9 🔥
As someone who has ALL schools max and soloed majority. Using a Life mastery from levels 10-90 ranks them one up, since the flaw for most is the inability to heal. This is for SOLOING ONLY. If we were going by teams, Balance and Storm are near the top.
S: Death
A: Life/Ice
B: Myth/Fire
C: Storm
D: Balance

The update made it even better
Fire is A or S imo you get a really balanced mix of aae, damage over time, straight up damage it's the most versatile imo
Also the minions Myth get are very shit in pve.
Post update my ranks would be
S: Fire and Death
A: Storm
B: Life and Myth
C: Balance and Ice
I don't believe there's actually a D tier school the game is balanced enough that I believe every school is at least viable
Life does more damage than ice. Compare centaur to Colossus. Plus life gets centaur before ice gets Colossus.
Ye and when you get that wand that gives all starter spells ice beetle has 115 damage and imp has 120
Fair, but I feel like ice makes up for their lower spell damages later in the game.
Potato Wizard ice gets a +35% bubble and life only gets one that heals
@@DaGreatAdrian Under the heal bubble with good stats and crit a guardian spriit will heal you 5000 health.
But life is behind because they don’t get their first aoe until lvl 58 which puts them at a very big disadvantage when it comes to hitting because they have to rely on centaur for a long time
Why I Vouch For Balance (even after soloing the game on nearly every school [not yet ice]), and i'll do it by your list
1. Doesnt Have A Prism
You see, this is a good point, if it didn't only effect 1/3 of the gameplay balance goes through.
2. Only Balance Blades
Fantastic point, because I can finally explain the fact that balance only has one shield that directly opposes it, and that is Tower Shield.
3. Only Decent Spells Are Later
Again, Spectral Blast, 26.
4. Only PvP
Although they are good for PvP, that's not the only use they have.
5. Don't Recommend as First Wizard
Agreed 100%, never play balance as your first wizard due to the fact that the skill ceiling is much higher, and i'm not saying that to boast 'oh im better', in fact the opposite.
Let me state my early game as only wizard city so yeah myth is really good
Hehe I am an ice wizard with a myth second... Taking down bosses is a piece of cake

balance i would say is weak in the beginning but its the only hybrid (heal an attack) school plus its one of the best schools for pvp. its both a great support and attacker, so i would put it at A or S
Icefreak I think Balance, in Arc 1, was a better version of the school than it is now.
Umm life can heal and attack.
I actually really enjoyed this tier list but there are some thing I can agree with and some things I can’t. Starting with Life:
1.) I never really had a Life Wizard past level 50 so I can’t really tell what it’s like past that, so I’ll only speak based on what I’ve seen and experienced.
My list cuz I’m too lazy to make a video, SORRY IN ADVANCE for this too long and excessive explanation:
S:DEATH (the game is a breeze to max can support and solo easy and can be a decent hitter, good gear is easy to get tho honestly don’t need it when you can heal yourself while hitting)
A: FIRE(good damage, consistent, easy to get great gear) STORM( perfect for farming, easy to get perfect gear, high damage and critical but dies easy and fizzled until higher levels)
B: LIFE (decent attack higher up, great support hard at the start without aoe good gear higher up is hard to get) ICE (can support decent and can attack decent, all arks are easy but feel slower, good gear is easy to get, decently easy solo)
C: BALANCE ( very had time solo ark two, everyone likes a balance supporter, gear easy enough to get besides max critical gear, can maneuver around any school) side note only two or three bosses have balance resist usually balance bosses or enemies have elemental or spirit resist
D: MYTH (can’t support, no one will support you if there is a fire or storm, minions useless, all stats mediocre, good gear is easy to get at least and all arks are easy.
Fire Master Class!!!
i remember playing this games demo at apple stores... It does me good to still see people playing it... Maybe I'll come back one day.
@Christian Groff normal pokemon being a master in none...
Arceus...
Ra w/ pet is top tier at level 70.
s: ice (later in game their damage is great and they are the ultimate tanks) and life (i have an almost max life and this was probably the most fun for me to solo, having feint and the kookaburra pet helps SO much until getting forest lord)
a: storm (at later levels, you don't even have to worry about less health bc you can just one shot in fights easily)
b: death
c: myth and fire (i've found soloing on fire pretty difficult. to me it only improves at higher levels)
d: balance (balance is definitely one of my favorite schools. i love supporting. but they suck at soloing. just went straight to the point.)
thank you! fire is not nearly strong enough to be a full hitting school like kingsisle wants it to be.
Fire is pretty good in PVP though
@tim a I feel the exact opposite for fire but to a lesser extent.
I honestly think fire is the best school, free.
@Sopwith Camel fire is REALLY strong tho... I beat malistaire with a lvl 21 fire with a few treasures here and there because my deck wasn’t big enough... I think that’s pretty strong
Best tier list for wiz schools ever

S: Storm/Life-you need damage and you heals.
A: Balance-A good balance can stack blades and make a fight end very quickly
B: Ice: A good tank, secondary healer, and can blade and shield
C: Death- Not bad. Really good if the boss needs bad juju spamming
Fire: The majority of the time, they live in storm’s shadow. If you don’t have a storm, the are the next best hitter option
D
E
F: Myth- I have never come out of a battle admiring how helpful the myth wizard was.
I actually agree w this list
When your first max wiz is Balance and you soloed most of the storyline 👌
You know balance has elemental and spiritual spells right?
But they typically don’t use it.
In 8 years of playing this game, I’ve only seen those balance spells be used in rare instances. Still though, they do exist. Just not super popular.
Balance is the best school and it was my first school, in my opinion balance is as the name says, they can basically do anything in pve and pvp, attack, support, heal and tank hits, my opinion its the best school😌💙
Potato Wizard Balance is only for advanced players
The developers need to save this game and give the players what they want.
as an ice I am very glad.
Life Wizard here and i would just like to say that other schools are good at damage and etc but without life school itll be hard later on without a life wizard in your team.
I think balance is better than you give it credit for, balance can solo and balance bosses aren't much of a problem because balances have spectrum blast and other spell that hit other schools, I soloed a lot of the game with little trouble although balance will not one shot bosses like storm and fire we can solo just fine, although I feel that balance is neglected by kingsisle, but, I think balance should be s or a tier because of the flexibility. balance is good at almost everything but not the best I think balance would be unbeatable if we got more single hits from other schools like spectrum blast and nested because then balance could be able to use the blades better I think that's the only downfall in balance is the multiple hitting spells like gaze Hydra and Chimera if those was more of single hits, balance would be the best
bigerrol As much as I appreciate the dedication,
That’s still a nawww for me Chief, lol
@@CDubz respect your opinion and all but gotta give balance some love fam, even for pvp
>Be Storm
>Learn Death up to Dracula
>Learn Life up to Life Shield
>Do all the sidequests
No need for a team just solo it my guy. Just finished Big Ben solo with the secret boss too, piece of cake.
Mr Davis wait please explain why you need a life shield and drac
Mr Davis bruh Big Ben was easy to solo. We’re talking much later into the game. You get death until feint, and life until satyr.
MYTH IS GOOD
Good stuns
And I thought I was the only one struggling with balance at monsters
Aye fire on top baby!!!
As a Balance I 100% agree with it being with worst of the schools, but I love it anyway.
No idea why...I just do
I've never agreed with something more. Oml you are very accurate.
I have to disagree with you on Storm being A in your list simply because of the endgame bosses having storm resist, other than that good list!
I’ve always wanted to do balance, but never came around to it
Might have wanted to make a tier list for leveling and endgame separately. Regardless, though, very insightful! Thank you.
Balance was my first school. I hold it close to me so rly punching the air rn🥲
My first wizard was Life and I loved it. Wish I saw this before I chose Myth as my second one lol (I chose it 'cause I wanted something different).
am i the only one that finds solo questing with a balance pretty easy? cause y'all make it seem real hard and i just dont get itttt
It's difficult at the start but we balance wizards just learn to adapt to what we get and in truth no school is truly bad
It’s easy to solo without a balance wizard I’ve solo many bosses in my time in the game without a balance so yeah it’s easy
I’ve never had any trouble using a balance wizard.
myth is amazing! my myth wrecks
Every school has their own pros and cons. They each have their own uses.
Except balance. Just get treasure cards...
Dispite the fact in Epirea that fire hits even more than storm with overtime rain of fire and traps
burning rampage even after nerf is still op,I mean its a spell that gives you the win in pvp.The end
At least myth isn't D tier :)
In all seriousness though if this were based on first arc, Myth would easily be higher tier.
Started off with Myth but I don't disagree with this nice list
ty
Death is at the top of the food chain 💀
I think balance is pretty good though... plus judge is SO GOOD for pve bosses early on like jade oni etc, plus you get sandstorm so easily, plus ra later. I think it’s good but that’s just me, I don’t even play it 😂
I have a death, storm, balance, myth, fire and ice but death / storm are my absolute favs.
So for my main character, my main school is Life. My secondary is Storm. So basically, the two counter each other's cons very well.
in my opinion life deserves C because it only can heal storm deserves a B because it hits hard but it fizzles alot death A because they can hit for alot and you are wrong when you say that it dosent hits good and because it heals it self
I have some problems with your list. (p.s. do not be butt hurt about my list. It is an OPINION. If you don't know what OPINION means, then search it up :))
Ice for instance is d rank for sure.
S - Storm and Death
A - Fire
B - Ice and Life - I know I use to hate ice but I now find it helpful in battles. I'm pretty good at damage and the tanking is prob one of the best since ice has a lot of health so they can take most damage and they can help blade elemental schools and possibly heal too.
C - Myth
D - Balance - LOL this one I'm at level 18 with and I am severly annoyed with this school. Mainly because I hate fighting balance with my balance. They really should put a prism lol
yo i love that outro!!!
Balance is the best school for increasing damage of the hitter school. I think they are very strong in pvm, just not solo
Yeah but life for instance would be a stronger option due to insane heals and also being able to get good buff spells for any class, treasure card or not
Balance is bad haha
Death had always been recognized universally as the best school to solo the entire game with, I'm confused why you are saying & ranking it otherwise?
oof balance was my first school. i know its a struggle but idk i personally like it so far? not debating that its a struggle but its cool. rn i have a baby death and i set him up with a mega pet. questing on him is sooo much easier.
You’re underrating balance bro
I’m proud to be a fire main
Bro you should make a updated tier list when test comes to live! Feel like death might be a bit higher on this list since they got a drain buff
I did the final dragonspry dungeon and beat malistaire(might’ve spelt that wrong) with a lvl 21 fire and bonus cards that I only used when I ran out of cardsXD Fire is gud
My first wizard was a fire wizard. I currently play as a death wizard.
When you are a Myth...
but im more sorry for balance xD
Death must be S rank I mean it’s the best PVE school
Lol my main char is a balance so I can tell you for a fact they are an off tank support class with heals, shielding and is blades also enough dmg to kill of the minions. So yes solo they suck but with one other person like fire or storm then they can duo end game content.
Another bad thing about balance is that once you counter lore and mana burn they cant do anything
the thing is you cant counter it and that's why its one of the best PVP schools
Death is literally the best thing to quest with and it pvps like a myth
Life has more damage than Ice tho😐
Edit:based on my experience of having a max ice and a max life trying to make a hitting set im able to get more damage on my life than Ice if I go full damage
Dakota Lucas You not using ice right if you think life hits harder
Ice hits actually pretty hard late game tho but I never used life in late game
@@taebear You're right, I've come to make a better ice set than my life can get and ice does hit harder
Myth should be atleast C it was my first school and once you learn to play it’s op
Ice best school cause u can pvp at any lvl and do anything as a ice
Balence doesn't need a prism because they have spells in every every school. Nothing a buffed hydra/chimera couldnt handle yet.
Life has more damage than ice
Death works well if you know how to use the spells you get a spell that converts death attacks to life attacks great if fighting a death npc and you are a death wizard.
Pigsie makes balance and death just as good at healing plus better at overall support for jaded...
@@wolfie8227 good 4 u. Now move on. U were the salty one cause I gave my opinion and hurt your ego lol
I get the memo you know but dude I know all the bosses in wizard101 from arc 1 to 3 so I’m fine
death is my fav. nothing else matters to me. and im not a support im purly damage only.
Balance sucks for PvE
I should know
I play balance so much
Depends with life if you have rats spin put it in s
9:25- 9:43 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I did solo PVE with balance :'(
