I swear, ride the lightning is so fun to play.
I love playing that song, the solo just ruins my FC every time sadly. I try, you can only do so much with controller. definitely not gonna give up on it though.

@@kodaksblack-I have nearly the same controller binds as you do and honestly I agree with the difficulty on this track. I've progressed a lot and have gotten extremely close to an FC so I believe you can do it; I feel like a major reason for the difficulty is hand fatigue from pressing buttons like R2 and L2
I have respect for anyone who does those binds cause they are NOT it

Those are the original keybinds for GH1-3 on controller for console. Honestly any other keybinds completely fuck me up

The way the end of FWTBT was charted caught me off guard on first play, cuz normally listening to it I don’t hear the guitar squeals that clearly since the riff is played front and center.

oh wow. I thought it was normal to bind it like that but seems like not everyone does it. at least I guess here in the philippines guitar hero on controller is so normalized that I thought it was normal for other people, too.
Knowing that I can play half of there acc songs on a real guitar while you guys are on Fortnite doing it is just amazing to me
The Whom the Bell Tolls solo is so difficult for me cause it breaks in the middle of the streak I have. Which makes little sense cause I KNOW I’m pressing the buttons during that sequence
Mad respect for playing on controller dude, you must have some mad fingers LOL. Ride The Lightning is def the hardest one I think. I remember my best with Puppets in 0 missed and 4 strikes and One was just one missed note during the solo, I have not come close to that with Ride. Super tricky one.

@ThatOneProPlayer yeah I gave it a shot recently for myself, it's definitely a lot more comfortable I think since my hands cramp fast on keyboard, but it's never my go-to for playing

the difference of controller to keyboard is insane, I can do One's solo easily on Keyboard, but on controller it's super hard, my hand starts to ache lol

Ride the lightning is in my opinion the 2nd hardest solo first is deffinetly one. I’m tryna get 100% on lux aeterna and I’m getting so close

@@mr.puddles3569 my problem is that I’ve hit One solo on controller many times, but Ride the Lightning just ends my run completely around the solo. appreciate you g, i try to practice more and more when I can.
@@tselotiii One is a little easier if you can hit the buttons on controller really fast and RTL is a little harder it’s just way too long

I just tune my calibration through the settings, or the NPC near the song selection area. set my timing through settings then set my track speed to %1.50x Track Speed to maximize my pace and timing of each note.

I actually fc'd Lux Æterna twice on lead but I can't beat my high score where I only got 99% of notes hit.
yeah the high score system is just dumb imo, it should just track percentage. Or flawlessing a song should just give bonus score

How do you make the buttons have color??
Go to your festival settings and choose the option to have the pro controller colors on all instruments.
@onthetoiletrn8374 I hate how everything that you can personalize is hidden in the game options, i always thought that you needed a mod or something to make the track faster but it was tucked away in a tab I would've never thought to look

@@fairlyelongatedyoungman7452I appreciate they allow this much customization with this gamemode. If they didn’t allow me to rebind the controls to OG Guitar Hero controls, I would not be playing it at all. I don’t understand how some people play the default controls Fortnite gives for Festival.

@@point0947 yeah Pro mode is hard for controller. I don’t do Pro mode, I just have my colors on for my notes.

@@point0947also another thing to mention for Pro mode. you have to actually use a strum button, whatever that may be for your controls. You can press the colors all you want on Pro mode but it’s no good without strumming.
how do you get more perfects on festival i struggle with that??
just practice a lot. I play fast songs on the hardest instrument for a couple hours at a time. just consistently playing hard songs to get the timing down. I also played a lot of Guitar Hero 1-3 on Controller prior to Festival being announced, so I was unintentionally getting ready for Festival lmao. I just really love these rhythm based games on Controller and fortunate enough this gamemode released.
also this is just a recommendation, i don’t know your settings. %1.50x Track Speed helps see the notes a lot better. The higher the track speed, the more the notes are spaced out between each other so you know when to hit them.

The faster the speed of your track, the easier it becomes to time perfects considering how spaced out the notes are.
