KOMA Field Kit experiment 20 ...

This blows ... but not enough to get something useful out of it. The Field kit is the testing ground for all these dc powered motors and now it's air pump time ... you can see that i tried a lot of stuff, unfortunately with no real useful results. Maybe the sm57 was not the best mic choice, but is was better than the camera mic as you can hear. Who knows, i might come back to this experiment later and try some more stuff ... like fixing an air tube to the output to isolate the motor noise from the air flow. Ideas are welcomed. A pneumatic solenoid valve would also work but these things are expensive and you need an air compressor and pneumatic coupling parts to make everything work.

Yeah I would try to use a nice condenser or even better, a ribbon mic for this ... neither of which I personally own 😅

I have a condenser mic but it's not a very nice one. The membrane on a ribbon mic can tear from blowing in it, that might not be the best mic for this thing. Maybe i need to get me some air hose first.
