That spider was well burrowed into the grill and sensor of that Prado, he got free holidays / roadtrips and a steady stream of bugs for food. He was living in luxury as a squater until you ruined it for him . 😂

Wow, I thought the sensor would have been moulded inside the badge to stop this sort of thing happening.

G'day Darek I got the same problem with my 2018 Prado Kakadu " Pre-Crach Safety Malfunction" and " Check Engine" lights come on while we were on holidays towing a caravan I took it to to closest Toyota dealership that was Taylor Toyota in Hamilton they were very helpful and connect their diagnostic machine on the car and there were a few codes coming up(I got a printout of the codes) they reset the codes and it was fine for a day and the codes come back again, I cleaned the radar and all other sensors even disconnect the battery codes was off but come back on the next day, any advice?

Pre crash safety malfunction will come on when there is an engine malfunction code. You need to fix the engine code. What was the engine code on the printout?

      Thanks tor coming
back to me. I hope I
      read the report
      correctly, codes are:
      P066F, P1609
      C1201,U0126,U0129,U0
      142,00132,U1110,U014
      O,UC1A50 one that
Taylor looked at was the glow
plug no3 wiring but nothing was
      damaged.We just
      come back from
      holidays I still didn't
talk to my local dealer about the codes. I checked my air filter and saw that the back two clips were loose and there was some dust on the inside of the filter cover. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. P066F refers to a short circuit in the No3 glow plug circuit. Trouble area could be Glow plug controller, No3 Glow plug assembly or short in No3 Glow plug circuit. P1609 refers to Air Fuel ratio too lean.

If P066F keeps reoccurring, you need to fix that and retest

When the grill or radar is removed and installed calibration of radar sensor is required! But how?
    How do you calibrate it?

    • @nunawadingtoyota8134
      @nunawadingtoyota8134  Před 8 měsíci +1

You need a diagnostic tool and special service tool. The special service tool is placed at a distance from the radar sensor and calibration is performed using a diagnostic tool

How can people just let spiders and other shit live in their cars? for god sake park your car inside a garage and look after it.
