Since you also own a gator 04 , have you ever had a problem that the battery light , oil and check engine comes on and says low oil pressure and the tires and wheels go into safety mode ( locked ) ?
I did get a lot more power, but I think it was more I got my power back as all of my Cats were severely plugged and even one of them was cracked, causing a loud knock under certain RPMs. It drives and accellerates way more smoothly than before and has a lot more get up and go with the Cold Air and exhaust upgrades and I am getting about 1 MPG better than before. Just did a CAI and CB exhaust on my '04 Nav, and was very surprised with the power gains at the low end and mid range. I'm having it tuned next week and am expecting a much bigger power increase.

Nathan Davis hey, just got the tune done on Monday. Took only about 20 mins, did the Diablo predator 91 performance tune. Right away the firmer, quicker shifts were noticeable. Mid range power was definitely improved, and at full throttle, it really came alive above 3k rpm. I'm very satisfied, sometime down the road, I'll need to put in high flow cats, I know that's where most of the remaining restrictions are.
So the Diablo Predator 91, what did that run you and did you have to have a shop tune it? if you ever adjust it does the shop have to do it? I'm looking at the SCT4 tuner where you get a handheld that you plug and can change on the fly. runs about $500 or os.
Actually that knock you hear in the stock system is a result of a broken Cat, the Cat inside would bang together at certain RPM's, usually while sitting and idling. You'll notice, there is no knock after the replacement of the Cats.

Did you make and narrowing or widening on the joints to fit this muffler? I checked on CARiD, there are so many options, but still cannot figure out which will fit, have the same Lincoln Navigator 2004
single in-single out, with the 04 IRS the space is minimal up and over the rear IRS, so I kept the outlet pipe that went up and over. Go to a shop, I don't trust exhausts on-line.
can you take a picture of your installed center muffler? because we have the same engine, sure the same will fit for my car. i measured the oem muffler, but need to check which flowmaster super 50 will fit: offcenter inlet - offcenter outlet, or center inlet - center outlet.
04 and earlier ones are the ones to buy, the 05-14 navigators and expeditions have the 5.4 3v engine which has horrendous timing chain and cam phaser issues caused by sludge buildup in the passages for the cylinder heads which cause one bank of cylinders to quit firing, fixing it long term means an entire engine replacement.the 04 and earlier ones had a 4v 5.4 with the same power rating, although it had a 4r100 as opposed to a ZF 6hp26 transmission. The expeditions from 04 and earlier had 2v engines. If you want a newer one get one from 15 or newer with the 3.5 EcoBoost. Great power, decent gas mileage, and is more reliable than the 3v 5.4 as long as aren't a bum and skip oil changes. Skip an oil change on an EcoBoost a few times and you are in for a world of hurt
Keep oil changed every 5k with full synthetic, I used Moly Ceratec in mine. 130k never an issue, wipers and a couple batteries. My son drove my Edie Baur expedition 234k commuting to school. The gas was as much as private school tuition but again. Zero engine problems.

It sounds good, but me personally, I just don't see any reason to get more sound out of a 6000lb full size luxury SUV. Yeah sure you get that V8 sound but that thing probably runs a 30 second quarter mile. I say save the hot rod sound for your Mustang or Camaro, Keep the Navigator quiet and smooth. Trust me, I own a Navigator and a Camaro.
It came out louder than I wanted, I'd like to have it a little quieter but I'm not going to change it now. One thing for sure is it runs way better than it did before, with having the multi-pocketed intake gone and the double mufflers it has a lot more of the motors power back, runs smoother, sounds great and feels better. It isn't a hot rod and I don't drive it like it is.

there are thinks to look for, main thing is to make sure on the gen2's is that the timing chain guides have been replaced.

About 320 miles per tank, 19mpg on the freeway, about 12 mpg on average, a lot of city driving, stop and go.
