Yes! Yes! I work with kindergarteners and if I spent $130 on a beautiful silk blouse and a kid touches me with their cute lil sticky hands I get very upset 😂
Beautiful and durable is what I look for. And probably not white
I’ve been teaching elementary for about 20 years in all grade levels. I wear black slacks on most days. I pair it with a V-neck top/t-shirt. Most of mine are Ralph Lauren, and I have them in a lot of colors. I’ve bought them from resale shops and TJ MAXX. I’ve never paid more than $15. I pair it with a nice belt. Shirt always tucked in. My principal is pretty lenient with footwear. I have horribly bad feet so I’ve found that Aerosoles and Easy Spirit make really cute and comfortable shoes. We are allowed to wear tennis shoes with our slacks. Plain, all white Adidas are my go-to. However, I have a pair of all white leather Sperry’s that I wear at least 3 days a week. I find them to be more versatile. Kids are always stepping on my feet and we are in an old school. You know the kind with the outdoor classrooms and walking on concrete sidewalks. I would never spend a whole lot on shoes. I hope this helps!

The best tip I ever received was from a friend who had worked in the cosmetics industry. She told me to stop wasting my money on the so called holy grail moisturizers and buy six things. Coconut oil, jojoba oil, hylauronic acid, a great suncreen, a great concealer, amd one really good foundation. She said the most important thing eas to develop a consistent routine of caring for the skin and my skin would improve quickly. She was right. My effortless skin-care routine allows me to save money that I can put to better use on my wardrobe. Less really is more.
You have to be careful with coconut oil on your face it can clog your pores
coconut oil clogs your drains! when its cold it sticks to the side of the pipes! its also not great for your skin. there are a lot of oils that are greater for you

One of the tricks I learned working at a high end clothing boutique is minimum of 3 clothing pieces. For example, if we wear a skirt and top, add a belt or statement jewelry to add more visual interest. If we wear pants and blouse, add a jacket or blazer or make a complete outfit. We worked in an a/c environment so we were never overdressed during the summer.
