    The kit zoom fits well. I prefer the Sony 20-70 F4 on my A7Cii.

      I think 20-70mm f4 is actually more versatile, and I'd also prefer that if A7C2 was my main camera too. But since this is my secondary camera I just wanted to keep the size small 😁

    A comparison video for a7c ii and s9 yes please! Subscribed!

      Thank so much for the sub, I really appreciate it!
      The A7C II vs. S9 video will be mostly on side-by-side size & weight comparison, etc. There's so many reviews out there about their features, so doing a comparative review would just be redundant, so I'm just going to stick to just showing their size difference with different lenses. 😄
      Oh, and I'll be uploading another video on side-by-side IBIS video comparison as it seems like that's really the biggest performance difference between the two.

    Nice gear. I can recommend the DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter for Sony. Then you don't need that wire...

    I have this exact combo of the A7C2 w/ kit lens + compact G 24mm f/2.8 and love it 📷 Got my eyes on the newish G 16-25mm f/2.8 and G 24-50mm f/2.8 as well 👀

      I’ve been looking at the 24-50mm f2.8 as well.
      It would’ve been a perfect one lens solution if it was slightly wider at 20mm, but I guess you can’t have everything 😆

      I have both those lenses and they rock with the Sony A7C2. I do mainly video where I interview tattoo artists. Recording both indoors and outdoors. Those lenses do it all well.

    Thanks for the video.
    I'm looking for a travel camera and I'm torn between the A7C2 and the Canon R8. The R8 has a better EVF and I think it's more fun to take pictures with it, and it has a nice grip. I think it would be cool to just use the 28mm pancake lens and use it like a big full-frame GRiii, but the lack of ibis for video is a problem. Sony has a lot more flexibility with colour in V-log than Canon's C log3, and I find that really appealing.
    Do you recommend the A7c2 over the R8 for me? Photography and video are both important to me and I'm really confused about what to decide.

      @camera.mellow  Před měsícem +1

      Hi, I'm glad that you found the video helpful 😄
      I've never owned a Canon camera, so I can't really speak from my own experience, but if BOTH photos and videos are important to you, then the lack of IBIS in R8 is not just a small problem, but a pretty big one.
      I've owned several Fujifilim cameras that had no IBIS, and the videos were noticeably shaky. Even if you are really good at holding the camera steady, you will still have micro shakes that could render the video unusable. Also the subject that you are shooting plays a really important role as well. If you are mainly shooting static objects or sceneries, then IBIS isn't that important for either photos or videos. But if you are going on a vacation with your children, then IBIS plays a huge role.
      I've recently sold my Fujifilm X-T3 precisely for that reason. I loved that camera, but it just couldn't keep up with my children. I had way too many blurry photos and shaky videos. Once I switched to X-H2S that has IBIS, things just got so much better..
      But in the end, there might be other factors like the design or the colors that might be more important to you too. For me, I haven't switched over to Sony entirely because I like Fujifilm's colors more, so I had to find one with IBIS within the Fujifilm lineup of cameras even though it meant that I got stuck with a bigger camera than what I initially wanted..
      So yeah, I'm sorry it's more like a non-answer to your question, and may have created even more confusion. 🤣

    You already have a compact camera with the Sony a7c ii, may I ask why did you still buy a Panasonic S9?

    • @camera.mellow
      @camera.mellow  Před 12 dny +1

      I wasn't entirely happy with Sony A7C II at first. Especially the dark and low-res EVF bothered me a lot, so I was on the lookout for a replacement, and saw all the hype (and the controversy) around the S9. It's ironic that I picked the one without an EVF as a replacement for the A7C II, then I quickly realize that the S9 is not as small as all the CZcamsrs make it out to be once I got my hands on one.
      It was one of the main reason why I started this channel. But to be honest though, I'm more excited about trying out new gears than actually going out there and taking photos 🤣, so I just ended up keeping both, and I'm probably going to move onto the next shiny thing soon.

      Just got too used to Insta Reels and CZcams Shorts, I guess. I find it especially helpful for top down videos, but I wasn't too sure about other people's preferences. You don't like baked in CCs?
