In my opinion, the Alto Sax soloist is technically a good musician, but his solo is too lyrical. He is not blending with the 'fucky' rthythms of the bass, piano and drummer. Since the Bass has such a predominant role, why not try a Tenor Sax solo and/or a Baritone Sax solo? I think that they would blend better than an Alto Sax solo.
I’m not disagreeing with you but I am playing this song for my jazz band group and the chicken is a pointy song it does need a little bit of the rockyness if you know what I mean

Bro this band is like omg but that bass I hate with a passion bro, he ain't even playing the part right and it sounds so weird. They also full on skip 47 which is probably the best part of the song.

I hear what you mean. I think alto is fine for the solo but yeah he did just play too lyrical. This is the type of song for someone to come in blazing

Drummer is over his head a lil. Should just lay back and play what feels comfortable to him. It makes the band sound a little rough on the edges.
