Duke Nukem 3D Speedrun (Max% Episode 1-3):

Max% means you have to kill all enemies (you have to spawn them all like killing babes and touching triggers) and find all secrets on every map (secret levels too). This was my second full run of Max%. I've rerouted most of the maps but I still have some unused steroids which could save some time with enough grind and good rng I believe sub1 hour is possible. Sometimes the ingame counter gets bugged like I kill more than the maximum and on the Overlord level there is an unspawnable enemy.

I was about 11 years old when I got Duke Nukem for the N64. I have so many good memories.. especially about multiplayer with my friends. To see the game completed at this rate of speed is amazing. I don’t think most people understand how much skill and memorization is required to achieve this. Congrats on the world record. Well done!

I'm not sure, maybe 20-30minutes longer. I dont know how much more enemies are there. Its really hard to remember all of them on Piece of Cake too. Also I'm glad you liked the run 💸

I do have a question, though; did you miss a kill in Overlord or is the counter bugged in that level?

Glad you like it! Yes there is an unspawnable enemy there. I might look for it in mapster because it made me confused too. Idk if its a counter problem or mapping error. If you check out Cubeface's run you can see he has that issue too.

Interesting. Reminds me of how Movie Set’s secret counter is bugged in the Xbox 360 version. That level only has four secrets, but the level menu says it has five. (The entrance to Tier Drops isn’t counted.)

Its a bit tricky, You have too shoot at his legs to be able to shrink him. If you use autoaim its really hard since it aims his chest.

Thanks! It is because if you see the Trooper shaking his head before dying there is a chance he's faking his death and coming back to life. So if I blow it up I make sure there is no faking.

This is really impressive, but then i saw it was only Skill Level 1
I play DN3D on Damn Im Good (with respawning enemies) and it's always a challenge, especially Episode 4 (It's Impossible). Really Hard. The trick is, always collect explosives and explode as many enemies as possible, so they don't respawn.

I agree you can make this more challenging. In my opinion, on highter skill level for this category wouldn't really make it more challenging, only longer. I've started a challenge run few months ago. I like to call it "Doomed": I cant use jetpack, no saveloads, no glitches and no deaths and on Come Get Some difficulty, finished as fast as possible. I haven't routed the whole run yet, so I dont know when will I finish it.

Yea thats a counter glitch caused by the trooper faking his death. If the body gets blown up right before he would get up it get counted as a kill again. There might be another glitch on Lunar Reactor because I always finish +1 there.
