This was absolutely gorgeous. I was tremendously impressed your wonderful and gorgeous interpretation of this composition. It's cool how Marcello's piece became used by Bach, it shows that inspiration and taking from the greats before our time has been a thing for as long as there's been music.

Indeed. When I was very young, I disliked practicing Bach piano pieces. They felt rigid and so much like lessons. I liked the fun and lively Mozart. Now I am much, much older, and having gone through some of the turbulences of life, I find myself playing Bach much, much more than Mozart. I now mostly play flute and recorder, and sing. Some of my favorite pieces to practice with are Arioso (BWV156/1056), Bach/Gounod Ave Maria. Perhaps one of these days you might record them? I would really love to hear how you would play them.
