  • Cracking game at Filbert Street between Middlesbrough and Leicester City. Boro raced into a 2-0 lead with a first and only goal for the club by Trevor Putney and a long range free-kick from Jimmy Phillips. Leicester hit back in the second half though and went 3-2 up thanks to goals from Oldfield, The not yet but soon to be Old War-Horse Steve Walsh and what was probably an OG by Jimmy Phillips. Boro fought back and equalised through another unlikely scorer Owen McGee whose tame shot was deflected and somehow bobbled past the 'keeper who actually looked like he'd let it in! 3-3 and going into the last minute when McGee makes a suicidal back-pass straight into the path of Leicester debutant and future cult-hero Kevin Rooster Russell who dinks in the winner and three priceless points for relegation threatened Leicester.

Only thing worse than our defence that day was the camera quality and work.
