Also about the grandparents thing, I always give thanks to those who donated things and say a lil thank u to them in spirit. I'm sure they would've wanted their stuff to be loved again! But I used to be a hospice nurse so Ig I'm more ok w the idea than others :)
Yes I always think about the origin of the things I find. Especially handmade things, I cherish them so much even though I don’t have sentimental attachment to them because I don’t know who they belonged to 🥰

I lost all my family that I had bonded with by the age of eleven so I get your sentiments about the grandparents. Christmas time can be a little difficult for my feelings of envy. It is my favorite time of year though. Merry Christmas to you and family.
I’m so sorry for your losses, I think I understand your feelings of envy, as an adult I haven’t been very close with my family not for bad reasons necessarily but we are just very different people. I sometimes wish we were closer or had a different relationship, but it’s just not the reality so I can get sad at times wishing things were different. Most of our Christmases have been just Jon and I but we have a lot of fun together and look forward to our traditions. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and thank you for watching and commenting ❤️

I totally get your feelings about the grandparents decor. I feel like that all the time when I see handmade personalized stuff at the thrift store. I have this weird thing where I feel sad for the things itself rather then the people, cant explain it but it gets me every time.

I cherish handmade things so much even though they were made by strangers to me. I think I understand what you mean, it’s weird but it does make me feel twinges of sadness too. It also reminds me that in the end it’s all just stuff that doesn’t/won’t matter to anyone, which is slightly depressing sometimes lol
When I worked in a thrift store people would donate picture frames with family photos still in them and that made me cry more than once 😭
Well I thank you because right now I cannot go out thrift shopping so I have enjoyed this video and I love the mice and the candle spinner thingy I don't know what they call them thank you again hope you and your family have a merry Christmas take care see you next year

What is your fav era? I have a mixed vintagey house but it is mainly late 70s to 90s! I always find the best things at salvation army too x) I didn't do that many Xmas things this year sadly! Love your channel :)
Thank you so much 😊 My favourite era is definitely 60s & 70s I think the sweet spot for me is mid 60s to mid 70s. I do have a lot of nostalgic feelings for the 80s because I grew up then and I’ve never really had nostalgic feelings for the 90s but I’ve just recently started developing some nostalgia for the 90s. I swear the Salvation Army seems to be the sweet spot for so many of us 🥰
