We have a lot of friends around here that are new to Onewheel and are asking us to help them to learn faster. So in hopes to help everyone out there is a quick video on how to turn and carve on your Onewheel. This tip will help if you are riding a Onewheel XR or a Onewheel PINT.

Just got done watching this one, it was really good to see someone in the same boat as me. Holly was doing a great job!! She did describe the exact issue I’m having with the toe and heel, watching her legs shake as you’re trying to balance is exactly what’s happening with me. I’m sure practice will help, but it was great to see a beginner and that people just don’t jump on and start riding. To be honest I was getting a little discouraged trying to keep my balance, now I’m extremely exited to get back in and try again. I’m glad I’ve been watching you all and you guys are the main reason I invested in a Onewheel. Thanks for the vids, keep entertaining us and keep being good humans!!

8 kids? That's awesome. I have 7 kids. I plan on selling my old truck so I can get my my family and I some ow boards. Minnesota has some awesome places and trails and it would be nice getting my family out more often for a cruise

Hey man! Great video! Remember last month I had purchased my onewheel but when it arrived it did not work because of the firmware connection not working? Well after all I sent it back and they fixed the problem and now it’s been a week of fun riding while my dog follows me. The hole process with future motion was great they kept me updated and the staff was very professional over the phone. I will continue to watch your videos! Ride on bro!

I'm over here amazed at the thought of people walking up stairs with a particular foot first, do they stop before a stair set or do they shuffle to make shure the distance and the strides work out? also frontside isnt easier cause you can see, you just have more courage cause you can catch yourself if you tip over, backside its tuck an roll
an older video that I’m commenting anyway. I will be teaching my wife to Onewheel this coming spring. I’ve been teaching people on goofy/regular footed by having them walk downstairs one step at a time and whichever foot they use first that’s the correct foot in front on the Onewheel. See if that works for you too bud…

Liked, and sub’d. Thanks (in part) and to your channel I now have a onewheel pint and have 2 miles under my belt. After a 1 mile ride tonight my feet and legs killed! So much fun. Still haven’t picked up carving, though!
What shoes are you wearing? Your legs and feet will get use to it. hang in there
@@ScotMendenhall I have tried a few different pairs. Surprisingly the ones I’m most comfortable in are steel toed sneakers/work shoes. Picked up on carving yesterday after 7 miles of riding. It’s getting more and more addictive every time I step on the board.

I just had my first full day on my XR and the carving was also my main issue (secondary issue was thinking I was too cool for pads. I am not (ouch) lol).
But since I just dropped all that $ on my ONE xr package, I see this video and all those one wheels and my wallet hurts!
Then I start looking at ur other videos and see that one wheel gave u a bunch of pints so nvm lol
ha I am glad you watched a few other videos. We are pretty stoked for the love from OW. We love riding around on them
I think the question "Which foot do you kick a ball with?" is a better question. People may not think about the step idea or might flip flop as needed more easily but everyone has a favorite way of kicking a ball.

I just got my OW a few days ago. Easy enough to get going but carving and handling driveway transitions and driveway inclines make me nervous at the moment. Looking for some tips on that.

she's right.. back side carve is very scary... I lost my balance most of the time. Maybe bcoz I don't have enough speed to carry the momentum? learning to ride my OW pint for the 2nd day now..

@@ScotMendenhall day 3 is awesomeee!! I can finally make front and back side turn albeit slowly and wide XD. But it definitely boosted my confidence riding it
the only thing with why I don't is that in reduces range and tire life

I got my xr about a week ago and I'm right footed.i kick a ball better with my right foot,go up stairs and down with my right foot but I find having my left foot to the front on the xr alot easier.its strange.
I am with you as well. but i do go up the steps with my left but I kick the ball with my right. If you can ride and have fun then it's great.
