    Thanks for the video, Zdenka. I have one of SmallRig's cases for the iPhone X, which is also very sturdy. I wish you a very prosperous New Year.

    If you are only using the main lens you can get a Moment filter holder that fits in front of that lens and use a step up ring to hold larger filters. The new Moondog filter holder is a very tight fit and tears at the rubber , and I cannot get it locked into position without obscuring the ultra wide lens.

    I just received this cage for my iPhone 13 Pro. What is incredible is I got it for a discount for $30. The cage and iPhone 13 Pro actually weighs slightly less and is slightly smaller in size than my Otter Box for my iPhone XR. The Otter Box cost twice the price of the cage. I like the cage a lot, and it isn’t as slippery to hold as I thought (although the Otter Box is grippier). But I will probably remove the Moment mount area around the lenses-by removing the three screws. I don’t own Moment lenses, and I think this adapter blocks some of the perimeter areas of the larger lenses. I don’t want to compromise the lenses on my new iPhone, although doing that will make the lenses less protected. I ordered the handles too…. As for the filter, you may need to try one of those clip on filters. I think the case is just barely thin enough to accommodate one of the clip on filter products

      Hey! Would you use this case as a minimalist protective case? I’m trying to see if this could serve two purposes as easy to set up camera mounts and neat metal everyday case lol.

    • @GeologyDude
      @GeologyDude Před 2 lety +1

      @@cameronwarrenmusic it does protect the camera lenses and the outside perimeter of the phone (as well as the most durable cases)-except for the back side of the phone (the large area inside the frame that is below the lenses-from the Apple logo to the charging port) could get scratched eventually-although the frame does protect this area somewhat. That could affect resale/trade-in value if it is scratched

      @@GeologyDude thanks for the quick reply. I was looking up clear back skins/ protectors or anything like that for that reason lol. I’m not sure if it would fit though being the it slides in pretty tight fit I’m guessing into the cage.

    • @GeologyDude
      @GeologyDude Před 2 lety +1

      @@cameronwarrenmusic I bought a cheap case for when i need to go out for normal stuff and don’t want to use the more bulky frame. I had tried to cut a screen protector to put in the back area-but it broke as I was cutting it

    I have just managed to fit the new Moondog mount without obscuring any of the lenses but it is very tight and rubs at the rubber pad. If you are leaving it in place and not using the adapter lenses then it will be OK but I am worried about taking it on an off and damaging the rubber.

    That Smallrig IPhone Pro Max cage has a 17mm Threaded Lens Backplane Adaptor you can by separately. And on Amazon i found a company that sells a 17mm to 52mm step up ring, that will work perfectly with your 52mm filters. That’s what I use.
    That company also makes a 17mm to 37mm step up ring that will work with 37mm universal smartphone Lenses.
    I was going to make a video on it in a few days on my other CZcams channel.

    I enjoy your content. Have you dont a video on the ShiftCam Pro Grip? Its a handle for phones with a battery, which appears to make the phone feel more like a Camera. It could possibly be a replacement for a Gimble. I thought you might enjoy exploring this in one of your videos.
