I did not originally plan on releasing this drum cover. For fun, I tried recording it to gauge how well I could play the song. I made several mistakes (somehow I lost the downbeat in verse one!), missed or incorrectly played parts, and the double bass drum fills are not nearly as clean as I wanted. However, I felt like it worked well as an @First Sight video.
I did not have electronic pads set up for the interlude that would have begun around 4:02. So, as a result, I cut out that two minute section. I hope to rerecord a full version of this song in the future.

Each video on this channel features a high-quality audio and video recording in which I perform a song in its entirety. I strive to capture the energy and spirit of the original track, emulating and paying homage to legendary drummers, and adding my own interpretation when appropriate. All drums are played live by me, Matthew Huskey, and no triggering is used.
I strive to inspire and teach other players. I want to share my knowledge and experience with others who are passionate about drumming. Hopefully, I can contribute in my own small way in the continuing process of inspiring a new generation of drummers to continue the legacy of this incredible instrument.
So if you're a fan of music and drumming, or just looking for some great covers to add to your playlist, be sure to subscribe to this channel and join me on this journey to create the best drum covers on CZcams!

Dude that was insane! Best video you have done! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥁🥁🥁🥁
Thank you, my friend, I really appreciate it!!! 🤘🏻🥁🔥
Excellent video and well played!
Thank you so much, my friend!!
You just keep knocking it out of the park! Excellent!
Thank you so much!!!
Awesome!!
Thank you!!!
Mesmerizing display of stamina, concentration, and confidence on your part-this one must have been extremely difficult to play but again you captured it.
Thank you so much!!!
You really did not practice this first? You did a helluva job! Your non-traditional kit configuration worked well for this song and was fun to watch!
Thank you, I really appreciate it!!
I have probably listened to the song at least 100 times over the years, so I know it well, but I did not practice it first. The last time I tried to play the song in any way was in 2010, in which I attempted to play the first half of the song.
I've been very happy overall with my kit configuration! It definitely allows for much greater left hand independence!
