After 92 hours of sewing, (and many more editing videos!) the 'Sunset in France' dress is finished! I love the subtle sparkle of the crystals on the black flowers and the night sky effect of the Swarovski crystals on the bodice. Next up will be the accessories to go with it, then I can reveal the final finished look.
Also OMG the crystals make such a difference... Incredible, you'll look like a walking sunset for sure!! And I totally understand you're unhappy about the silhouette, but I think once it moves and sparkles it won't be as noticeable. You're a trooper Vicky! Learning so much from you!
Thank you. II was a bit apprehensive that the crystals would be too much, but seeing it I think they were the finishing touch it needed. Watching the video back I think the hoop in my petticoat might have popped out on one side because it look more angled than previously! Glad to hear my videos are helping you learn new things. Thanks for watching and for your lovely comments 💗
Amazing!! The sparkles are perfect for the stars on the top. It truly looks like going from sunset to night. You should get awards for these dresses!! I really don't understand why you are not designing for theatres. Your work is outstanding! I have learned so much from you and I thank you for that!
Thank you so much. I'd love to design more costumes. I've got another burlesque costume coming up for Jazida which I'm really excited to get working on 💗

Thanks Jacq. I'm really looking forward to making the accessories. The weeks are just flying past at the minute. Between working on the dress, working on orders, studying and making sure my daughter's doing her school work I don't know where the days go! Hope you're safe and well over there 💗
@@RockstarsandRoyalty Good to hear you're good!! was a little worried about you :) Don't envy you on the home schooling though !! lol Yeh I'm as good as I can be. You'll have to do an update on your garden I bet it's looking amazing !! Much love & stay safe Jacq
@@red-inmy-50s-temper-dont-match My garden's looking a bit sad as we're heading towards winter. We've got lots of winter veg in and growing though and we're picking and digging up that last of the summer produce. I'll do an update in spring when it all starts coming back to life
Your beading technique looks like so much fun! Did you warm up the wax pencil first? I've taken a picture of flowers in the sunset recently and thought of you!
It is fun. I find adding crystals and beads pretty therapeutic actually. No, I don't need to warm up the wax pencil - it's just sticky enough as it is to pick up the crystals, but not so sticky that it doesn't let go of them in the glue. I actually found that when I was using in it the hot weather over summer it was too soft and didn't release the crystals properly. I was keeping one in a cool place and alternating it with the one I was using as it got too warm!
Wow :)
Thank you 💖
