I am finalizing the Dota 2 Hero Guides & Builds for Patch 7.36c but in the meantime let me break down some of the clear winning heroes of this 7.36c. What we're noticing is a strong trend of strong Pos 1 carry heroes that can fight back during the laning stage but also scaling damage supports that can output hard in fights but also setup in the early-game. For midlaners, the need to fight early and gank from around 12-14 minutes is still relevant but not with their ability to do it on their own rather than enabling side-lanes. Heroes like Vengeful Spirit & Windranger remain prevalent as flex picks to hide your draft but they're also able to carry the game.

Venge’s soulstrike facet giving her melee status attack also helps her a lot on terms of item flexibility and when attacking from the low ground. This facet isn’t only take. For the lower bat, the lower bat just makes it a no brainer choice for core and depending somewhat on the matchup, a good option for support.
just to add, Treant Protector has still 12% movement increase even without the Shard.
so the Shard only use is Invi on trees and Invi on nature's grasp and root and root damage.
treant with windlace and 2 iron woodbranches as starting item hits hard.
280 base movespeed + 20 windlace = 300 ms + 36 ms (12% guise in trees) = 336 ms
89 base damage + 2 branches = 91 raw damage (87-95 damage)
specially paired with venomancer 50% slow, and get some blood grenades, yeah that's it.
later get a orb of venom, did this with a pos 4 treant and pos 3 veno, against Slark and Silencer.
I have never thought about that 12% increase but it mows down alot in early game especially enemies without boots while rotating to twin gates and moving through trees
The sapling facet is so good. first time to play it on rank and it worked pretty well. its scary that it worked Too well

veno is soooo good right now. the double ult facet simply wins some fight by itself
Nature prophet with Ironwood Treant is the best and only hero who can solo win the game. At lvl25 his summons push towers like they are creeps. Even with backdoor protection he can still take them down before you can tp to protect them.
I'm a treant user and I'm honestly surprised that people are sleeping on his sapling facet. He was a really good hero even before facet was a thing and the sapling increases his damage output in a teamfight by a ton. Max living armor and leech seed at l10 is really good too as it helps heroes survives from today's armor reduction core meta like ck, weaver, dk, slardar, TA, SF, and dmg amp by beast. When your core gets ganked, pop that living armor and your team have more than enough time to respond to the gank and counter.
Thank you for always giving guides in dota 2, i got up from crusader to Ancient. hopefully will get divine on a month or 2.

Kinda expanding on Phoenix a bit.
Hotspot is the better Facet to go due to the Insane extra damage you can deal with it.
The scaling that's already there is just further multiplied, and gets better the later the game goes.
It's cheap as you just need shard and the bear minimum to survive.
Dying light is also good, but is better to secure the early game with aggressive plays.
It dies off fairly quick unless you build for a lot of Health and Survivability.
Makes sense for a core build.

On paper yes
Though in practice going Hotspot's almost always better.
You have a choice to farm for a Aether Lens to make the damage even better, but not necessary. Shard is mandatory, but no other items needed.
Dying Light's great to help with laning and farming but that's kind of it. It doesn't work in Supernova, and it's dangerous for Phoenix to be out in the open for to long.
That said I have had good success with Dying Light Mid as the extra damage can win you an early advantage. Other roles is user preference.

I think warlock is insane. The fact that he summons imps from kills makes him a menace in lane and even in teamfights ,especially against summoners and around creeps and neutral creeps. All of his spells are busted and even his nerfed golem is.

I picked venge carry a few times in the last week and people kept calling me a troll lmao
At lower mmr (like anything below divine) it’s kinda a shit pick because she doesn’t scale as well as a lot of the other carries + doesn’t farm fast by comparison. It feels like you want treads and bracer + wraith band + aghs then fight constantly until you win, and low MMR games just turn into farmfests where you lose because your team doesn’t recognize the win conditions of the game; they’ll not force fights on your aghs/15 powerspikes and let the enemy carry farm

I love your guides and the fact that you keep us to date with the updates Torte , but imo these weekly update that are broken AF is showing players like me that plays for fun, that the game is dead and the devs are ruining a game that was great for 20 yrs... Dota became a sesonal game or one that brings money in from pro players that go to tournaments and bring money for the dota franchise...
Does break actually work for innate abilities? I tested break against Shadow Shaman's innate, and it definitely doesn't work.

Hi torte i want to report some bug related to some of your old guides on item that cause lag/freeze game when i hover mouse on the item. Some examples are snapfire’s rod of atos, dk’s daedalus. I think its because those guide are old or something
As a phoenix player you should play this hero. My lifetime wr is ~60% but these last 2 patches its been around 80%

Base attack speed is 100 on most heroes + attack speed from agility. Butterfly is not lowering this number.
If you want to avoid these misinterpretations, say that something will increase attack rate. Correct and intuitive.
I actually made a separate mistake where I said it lowers base attack speed instead of increasing it. 🥲 I made sure not to say base attack time

Ursa eat Chaos Knight. I tried a lot, he whoops Chaos's ass. Chaos has no escaping skill to kite Ursa. On the other hand, Chaos counters 80% of heroes currently.

chaos knight is not broken, they are basing it on low mmr winrates. a lot of those who pick ck are garbage players and dont know how to use illus and when to group up
i second that. low mmr players cant flash farm with illu. ck is broken on higher ranks not much in the below but still good.
