Those mirrored clips that show you as a right hander are very helpful and I hope that becomes more common in ball review videos.

Great start to the year Packy with the Players Championship! - I’ve always loved pin down drillings…I played the shim in 1987 at Willi Bowl in Wilimantic CT (NEBA) for my 1st 300…
First off, I’m a novice and don’t know what all of the slang bowling terms mean. I’m a 68 year old who bowled two league seasons about 35+ years ago and had to stop due to several back problems and two surgeries. I decided to try league bowling again this year and I’m loving it, so I joined two more leagues and I’m bowling Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights. My average is between 162 and 187, with a big jump after buying a new ball two weeks ago, a Harsh Reality 14 pounder. I’ve been watching tons of videos lately, but it seems that I’m going backwards, instead of increasing my hook and rotations. So, I just ordered a Hammer Black Widow 3.0 and plan to get some lessons before I have it drilled. I’m hoping that I can get the increased hook and rotations I’m looking for, without a lot of additional physical effort, just better technique. If successful, the Black Widow will be the first ball out of my bag.

I drilled mine 5x5x1 and it’s been rolling well. It reads the mid-lane good and has a predictable snap on the back end.
Was considering another pin down but wasn’t convinced until seeing this.

Pin down is suppose to read the lane earlier how does it give you more motion down lane?
My coach is Ron Hoppe, worked with Belmo when Belmo was younger. Ron is turning me into a 2 hander from a palm bowler. My conflict is that I love Hammer but Ron was on staff with Storm and he says I make it harder for him to coach me when he doesn't know how to get the chemical composition of the ball

I have a moderate rev rate with high ball speed and my challenge pattern league uses a higher volume pattern. Sometimes my 2.0 Hybrid on the fresh goes a little too long. Just a week before Hammer revealed the 3.0, I was saying I would love a stronger solid Widow than the 2.0. I have spoken it into existence 😂. Just ordered through Chris at Buddies and I can't wait to throw this in league next week!

When you say pin down you just mean weaker layout? I’d assume you don’t actually have a 2 finger ball drilled with the pin below your center of grip

third shot of the full game. That is just what a widow does. It hits the pins so hard that you get some really strange messenger pins even in strange shots.
In 2 handed balling, does your second hand add spin to the ball or is it there just for support ? Sorry for the basic question lol

What does pin up and pin down mean
Which way the core is so if it’s pinup, the core is right side up if it’s pin down, it’s upside down
Balls have a pin, a dot that marks the top of the core. Pin up means the ball is drilled so the pin above the finger holes. Pin down usually means the pin is below the finger holes. Although technically for 2 handers "pin down" can be a little above the fingers while pin up would be way above the fingers.

It needs oil I was talking with my pro shop last week and went with a 2.0 hybrid instead of this we dont get the oil where im at
The flip "for the right handers" doesn't add anything of value. It's just a mirrored shot and will not accurately depict ball motion for a right hander.
