I love the question in itself. When people say we can't question God they clearly haven't read much of the Bible. I love Job in general but in chapter 38 God responds to Job's questions. He does rebuke him to an extent for questioning Him, but in the end He still blesses Job beyond measure. We see the same thing over and over in Psalms or through conversations with David. There were many people who questioned God in the Bible and as Hunter says in this interview, we may not get our answers in our time, but the questions still come. But that's where faith comes into play.

In the lastest HH interviews that I saw, including this one, he's being so raw and sincere. We are constantly trying to hide our insecurities and how we feel, but not Hunter, and what a blessing that we can learn this from him! A truthful heart is what God seeks in us... How beautiful ♡

I feel ya, Hunter, I'm an only child too, but when I was in 7th grade my parents split. I'm 21 now,. I had about only like 3 close friends growing up, I managed to keep 2 of them, but sometimes I feel like I don't have any sometimes. I was watching this interview, while I'm at a my local library, and it was so hard not to cry, but I remember growing up that God can see what you're going through, he can hear hear your thoughts & questions before you can even speak. I'm not a church goer but I talk to God all the time, having conversations about faith and I will always have that conversation. Life I believe gives you parts and sends you searching for others. For example 2+2=4 life I believe gives you 2,2,4 you now must search for a way to make it make sense like finding a (+)something to mix the first 2 parts and a (=)is the piece/person that helps you see the the results.
Hunter is honestly the most humble celebrity I have ever seen. He is always so sweet and humble to everyone and it breaks my heart to hear his insecurities but I’m glad he can open up and be honest. I love his religion and how he opens up abt it. He will always be my favorite celebrity because he is so down to earth and so sweet. I would be so honored to meet. He’s the #1 person iv always looked up to since I was 6-7 years old. I think it’s perfectly normal to ask God questions, to be upset with him to ask WHY and Hunter put it so eloquently into words for me.

My husband at the time said, ‘you’re not broken, you’re just programmed wrong.’ That fixed me so much. I was programmed wrong, I am not broken beyond being able to be fixed, I just need to be reprogrammed

I don’t know if anyone will see this but to agree with both of them… I think in some ways weren’t meant to be so highly confident in our self because that can lead to being vain or something. It might can even lead to like not wanting to grow as a person. Every one of us as believers have asked these questions....maybe not as angrily at God but we've all asked the questions that we just don't understand. Why good people suffer....why our hearts hurt....etc. What a great song. I do wish he'd slow it down a little more, the acoustic version is the best but I'd like to hear it slower. I do not believe you are the Hunter Hayes to whom this video and these comments are about. This sounds like complete scam material. That is why I had such hesitation even responding to your first question about my location, which you originally asked weeks or more ago (I shouldn’t have responded to your inquiry about where I was responding from). I have already reported this and will continue to warn people ** do not give out your location, and do not give out personal experiences to people asking like what occurred here.**

I am a year late to this.. I some how came across this and I think that might have been God bringing this video to me as a reminded. I am a teenage girl who constantly battles self hate and this opens my eyes to the fact that it is okay to be honest with God and ask him the hard questions. I am sorry that you have insecurities, however it makes me feel better about my insecurities. I was abused growing up which led to me growing up thinking that I was broken. My husband at the time said, ‘you’re not broken, you’re just programmed wrong.’ That fixed me so much. I was programmed wrong, I am not broken beyond being able to be fixed, I just need to be reprogrammed

I'm a big fan of Hunter Hayes and decided to check his music out either in my last year of high school or college and from coming across this video wow and I can totally relate to Hunter Hayes in a way because if there is something or somebody that I don't understand or anything in life and get depressed then yes music is a safety zone for me as well even though I'm not a singer or play an instrument. I'm glad I'm not the only one when it comes to making friends. I wasn't close as well. Of course, I would hang out with various classmates but not close and have nothing in common especially high school. As for jesus/god I'm really not sure sadly but I believe some aspects through christian metal/rock or country elements of songs

I don’t know if anyone will see this but to agree with both of them…
I think in some ways weren’t meant to be so highly confident in our self because that can lead to being vain or something. It might can even lead to like not wanting to grow as a person. I don’t mean like we shouldn’t have confidence but When ever someone is acting all boastful like “oh I’m so perfect I’m not insecure at all…”On the inside they’re probably more insecure than like people who don’t boast about themselves.
We always want to bring people up but like Hunter said someone can tell you it’s gonna be ok and u still have to fight it out yourself.

Every one of us as believers have asked these questions....maybe not as angrily at God but we've all asked the questions that we just don't understand. Why good people suffer....why our hearts hurt....etc. What a great song. I do wish he'd slow it down a little more, the acoustic version is the best but I'd like to hear it slower. The main stream version I don't like because it sounds like pop music and doesn't fit the song IMO
